Showing my friend our great town... Beautiful blue sky...Regent Cinema, Stephen so tremendously happy seeing rare Trees... Fabulous Blackpool.
Hi Stephen. You gave me a flash back when you mentioned the fire station that was. How incredible i remember that from being a 6-7 year old in 1967-68. Delta 64😊
Wowsers 🚒
Love The Regent, have a walk there every time we visit Blackpool
Love the regent have a walk on the wild side Every time we visit backpool so Awesome and a visit to Blackpool's best chippies in blackpool so Awesome
From what I've learned watching your videos over the last few years, I would say the Regent cinema did better than all the others as its still standing as a working cinema and long may it continue!!!
I should have said, at least it still exists & works!
@@AWalkontheWildSideBlackpool Love it if you went in there and recorded it for posterity.
Thoroughly enjoyed this ride about Stephen! ❤😂 Beautiful day in Blackpool and your video made it perfect. Thank you so much. Got an excellent screen shot of The Regent.
Thanks Daniel
thanks for these videos stephen , we've been watching since the covid times , we've been to some of your haunts today and really enjoyed it , the ardwick , chris's £1 burger place and a pint of bass at the saddle inn a great day in the sun of blackpool 😁👍👍
Great stuff
Good tour of the streets that I’ve not saw before. 👍

Hi Stephen what a beautiful day in Blackpool loved the ladies with there umbrellas sheilding from the sun ,and that Stanley building looks huge I really love the old buildings and cinemas I really enjoyed the video ❤
Thanks Janet
Great video stephen, really enjoyed it, thankyou😊😊
Having a tree outside ones home in Blackpool must be a luxury😉 loving the blue sky's we're having it cheers up the views even in the old grim back streets of Blackpool.
Thank you for Sharing.
I love those signs with the hands! There's one or two similar ones around the town although I live abroad now and I'm starting to forget the street names at home! There's one on the corner of the prom with one street and I can't remember what it's pointing to. Not the old Central Station but not Blackpool North either. Fun wandering around my hometown at a distance with you.
I can definitely admit I’ve spend a fortune in the regent….i got so much ornaments mostly animals…..great place!
I love antique shops & emporiums.
Yet another one under your belt. I stayed in Charnley road in the Franklin hotel, great owners. Wish you had gone down to the water and shown us the sea. I bet it was amazing. Stay safe 🙏
Really great video enjoyed discovery of new places plus visiting some old ones. Albert St is quite amazing. It is possibly one of the most prosperous side streets off the promenade in Blackpool. ❤ Thanks Stephen. 👍
The weather makes a huge difference, can't wait to visit Blackpool soon
Brilliant video Stephen thank you😊
Thank you for the video and your time Stephen, I love a mooch around Blackpool surprising how it looks through someone else's eyes. Black cats are lucky if they cross your path.😊😊😊
Brilliant again Stephen
I took some clients to the Georgian Hollies hotel a couple of years ago. Some of the clients where severely disabled and the hotel staff were absolutely marvellous. ❤
I'm looking forward to Blackpool week on Friday 😊I hope its like that blue skies
I'm looking forward to backpool week on Friday I hope it's like that biue Sky sunny day in blackpool England West Midlands good for me and the Sodor Steamworks

Really enjoyed the look around Blackpool, thanks Stephen 10/10 😊
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks for another tour of parts of Blackpool we don't usually see i hope you are well 👍
Glad you enjoyed it George
thanks Stephen for another great video
The building on Cookson street that's knocked down was I think called Sound City, they used to do musical instruments, amps and speaker units. Seems though that everything knocked down in Blackpool now becomes either a Hotel or a car park.
Thanks for the info.
Hi Stephen. Such a lovely day. The blue sky looks gorgeous. Everything looks so much better when the sun is shining. I love it when it’s warmer and you can sit outside. Thanks for another interesting video. and I’ll see you again in the next one 🥰❤️👍
10:30 - it was a pre-fab with Blackpool Sound Centre in it. It would be called a 'hub' now as it's where you went to buy guitars, drums etc., and catch up with all the local music gossip. (We've been here before Steve!)
13:30 - wasn't that the old fire station?
Thanks for another great vid!
I knew someone who lived in a bedsit there, above the Sound Centre
Thank you Stephen I love your walk about video s keep up the good work you do Blackpool proud ❤
Another great video as always stephen, be safe out there.
Great video again Stephen thanks xx
Glad you enjoyed it Elizabeth
Another great ride along video Stephen, it was very interesting going all around the streets of Blackpool, thank you for showing us. Xxxx
Glad you enjoyed it Jean
Very nice thank you stephen my favourite hotel the ruskin coming in july cant wait
Top video sir as always! ….Smithy
The building on the corner of Albert Road and Coronation street used to house Blackpool's Twisted Wheel, mid 60's to early 70's, lol showing my age now.
Awesome vid stephen!! Love the fact that you took us to the places mostly unseen in vids of this nature, i have only been to BP once to see the illuminations, but traffic was so bad and congested that the sis in law said she couldnt cope and we left before seeing it :( So i really want to come back and see BP. And yes the weather was just beautiful on Sunday! :) Even my youngest remarked on the Blue sky as we usually have planes polluting the Blueness of the sky round here. Thx once again Stephen
Hi Stephen.
The Pump and Truncheon was the pub I was thinking about.
First went in there on steam your into Blackpool North.
Loved watching your video today Stephen, because all its done here is rain all day! Some really nice hotels down those side streets
Hi steven, dont usuallycomment just want to say really enjoyed your video, went to blackpool over 40yrs ago stayed at norbreck, bit different then.great narration.
Thanks Amanda
My daughter and her partner got married about 30yrs ago there and we have a photograph of them on the outside with the top half of the TOWER in the background.❤
Nice 👍
Thanks for sharing this awesome video Stephen I love all your videos and the history behind them 😊
Thank you Stephen for this most interesting video. Great to see an area of the town I'm not familiar with. Weather certainly makes the area look more inviting. I really enjoy hearing of the history of the buildings. Hope to be back in the area again soon. Hello to all the regulars on your channel.
Super video Stephen, the sunshine made it,very informative, cheers.
Hi Stephen, remember the register office on south King Street from 1990ish,as I used to stay at a friend's opposite, also the kingdom hall as we used to cut thro the back streets to get to hornby Rd then go over to the Stanley Rd working mens club, think some of those back streets are gated now?? & I remember the ABC on church street, I lived there 45yrs ago... Will be over in 4 or five weeks staying in fy4 at relatives.
I lived at the 4 story building you mentioned, the one with the scaffolding. It used to be called the Sydney Hotel and owned by my family. It was a great area back in the 80’s to grow up in. Not quite the same these days.
Nice video Stephen, emmerdail actor works in that pub.
Great tour around town Stephen as always love your videos 👍😁 take care until next time Pauline from Blackpool living in Canada 🍁
Thanks Pauline.
Those 10k trees, aren't doing to bad with the sea air and beer monsters.
Some good buildings Stephen
Omg. How many car parks are there in Blackpool. Luv the chanel and luv your work. Thankyou❤
My mother got married at the registry office in Sth King Street. Sad to see it's gone.
I also registered my own marriage there in 1985.
And flipping heck, where's the right hand side of Cookson Street gone??
Thank you Steve for showing me a very interesting part of Blackpool I will probably never get to see for myself, as I have no reason to go there and isn't on a bus route.
There are lots of little plots of land dotted around Blackpool. Temporary car parks are a good use for them until they decide a better use.
As for the Recent Cinema, apparently there are 50 stalls of antiques in there. It was on an episode of BBC'S Bargin Hunt about a month ago. I've been wanting to go since I found out about it a year ago, but I would want to buy all the dog ornaments they got. My credit card is screening noooo! One day I will treat myself. But for anyone who loves antiques, retro clothes, records etc, it is well worth a visit. Xxx
Ladies lingerie steady on Stephen😂got my heart rate up then pal 😊❤
Some really nice parts of Blackpool.
Great Video Steve Nice Tour Of Blackpool i Enjoyed It What Is The Best Pizza Place In Blackpool Have a Great Night😊
Sotto Pizzaria Whitegate Drive is posh
Didnt know the story of the aircraft landing etc, yes i saw the damage one of the trees were causing, its roofs lifting the flags as they do.
Premier Inn Bispham lifting all the tarmac on the pavement, lots of trees along devonshire road, also lifting flags tarmac etc, were the trees are, not to mention blocked drains and weeds coming out of the drains from grass seeds, they look great in parks and forests, areas that are not built up,
Thanks for the walk around 😊
I miss all the old rental stores 🕹📼📺
Been in the regent when it was a rileys snooker club many years ago
More trees please, all the nice citys have them.
I once asked a guy for directions to the masonic hall and he refused to tell me because it is a secret.
No they have Masonic Hall clear signs outside. The square and compasses/dividers with a G in the centre. Or interestingly a Bee Hive. Is a masonic symbol.
No wonder they built the police station just around the corner.
Cant wait for August and Rebellion
Evenin I got married at that registry office 27 years ago yer cannot help yerself with the lovely Cookson Street 😂😂 a beautiful day weather wise there it’s the same here in West Midlands now £10.000 for a tree did I hear right or was that for all the trees? Till the next one 😊
If you spend any money in foreign barbers', vape shops and kebab places you are funding the demise of your own people and your own country.
It's good the Regent for films you should try and go......least its stopped. Yesterday was awful. Least the rain has stopped...Still enjoy your vids. Keep it up. X
Have a Beer on Anthony 👍🍺
It seems strange seeing umbrellas up as there is no rain but good when sunny
Nice one, Stephen 👌
👍
hi 👋 Stephen, you don't do live videos now you've not done a live for a long time anyway, loving your videos Stephen you are amazing❤👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I did a live just the other week Susan, but I have not done as many as I used to.
It used to be said that it's good luck if a black cat crosses your path.
The shop on the corner of Albert Road was a market souvenir shop type. And the I think the strip club was called legs eleven. When I was younger, we used to stop in the hotel on the corner, which was called The ken barry. I have it recorded on camera.
Thanks for the info.
What happened to the ABC cinema? I remember staying in a B&B just down the street. I can’t recall the name of the street either. I think that was the last time I was there. I remember because the Beatles were performing there. No I didn’t see them.
The ABC was demolished for a car park.
@@AWalkontheWildSideBlackpool Do you know what street it was on?
@@juliankaye8143 Church St
@@AWalkontheWildSideBlackpool many thanks.
Hi Stephen good video
Stephen, best way to kill moss on the driveway thats mixed with the stones/gravel?
Ps. Thanks
Mosstox or Jeyes Fluid.
@@AWalkontheWildSideBlackpool thanks m8 I'll give one of them a go 👍
A Tree! ❤
Stephen Blackpool been awarded 50000 for greenery
That won't go far, if those trees Stephen mentioned cost £10,000 then £50,000 isn't going to buy much. Lets hope they spend it wisely.
@@martinwebb1681 sorry mate it was 500 thousand
@@stephendonkin5497 ... Ah, that's a bit better. 🙂
I used to work in Alan Heywood’s…..in the Computer Dept downstairs. Does anyone know if Alan is still around?
Thanks, Stephen. The regent cinema building is really nice, old style cinema. The 1930s Stanley building is nice, don't see enough 30s style buildings around any more, most seem to have not survived. Really interesting video.
What’s the obsession in Blackpool with knocking down buildings and turning them into car parks?! Most of these sites look like prime housing sites and the former police station site at the beginning and end of your video looks like it would make a lovely green space in the form of a pocket park, the likes of which you see all over London.
It use to be a music shop
I went to a wedding there
I collected my mums Death Certificate from the Registry in 2004
Hope it’s sunny in a fortnight
Hi Stephen
2 Geisha girls with umbrellas up 😊
That’s exactly what I thought 👍
The empty shop on the corner was heaven and hell sex shop
Hi ,always loved your videos, but getting very commercialised lately. Any comment?
Commercialised???
@@AWalkontheWildSideBlackpool Seems like a lot of adverts.
@@tonyroberts4742 I’m not in control of RUclips adverts.
Can confirm it was a strip club called too hot to handle and later fallen angels. Happy days
Thanks 🙏
