315 is exponentially harder than 225 and is actually a pretty rare max. Should be at least 20 bucks/rep for 315.
lol I would have walked away with 1000 dollars
@light 1000 bucks is 50 reps of 315... so your 1rm on bench is close to 840. 😆 🤣. Ok.
@@Jet-ok7qm Im a professional powerlifter

@@light-qe3gv No one cares bruh
Pat's a cool dude, who switched it up nicely.
The amount of people that could do 225 for reps was crazy, I've only seen one person do that in my 1 year of consistently going to the gym. Good stuff.
lol you go to a kids gym? even then i see hella high schoolers bench 225 for reps lol..
@@IamLEGENDkb24 no, regular, smaller commercial gym. I mostly see people hover around 135-185. It doesn’t get crowded, which is why I like it.
@@IamLEGENDkb24 at what body weight? cause 225 for a 180lb weight is a hell of a lot easier than someone who is 140lb bodyweight.
Agreed, at my local gyms in the UK, barely anyone can do 225+. americans are built different :D
It's definitely not that common, but not exactly rare either. I see someone doing 225+ once a week or so at my local gym.
I occasionally see a dude who must be like 19-21 years old pushing 265lb for reps (and he's pretty short/lean). I don't know how the hell he does it... he makes it seem easy too.
225 is clearly the money range. As a 415 bencher I can get 7-9 reps at 315 but I can get over 30 when I test my pro-bench. Little truth about pro bench its as much of a speed test as it is a strength test the faster you bench the more you will get. Everyone fails at around 30-50 seconds no matter how many reps they perform.
Tips for pro-bench
#1 Do a heavy single 95% of your 1RM first.
#2 Speed speed speed no controlled descent waste no energy on the eccentric phase.
#3 Bounce the fuck out of it. This aint a power lifting meet.
#4 Arch as much as you possibly can.
#5 Take as wide a grip as the rack will allow.

Bailey built like Mrs incredible
She is fine!
Crazy how strong these dudes were. I can't even do one 225
Average adult male probably can't do one 135 untrained out of shape.
Good to hear, as 215 is my max.
The red Hoodie came down halfway. That's easy to do when your not adding tension. The hard part doesn't start until you come down to your chest to come back up
I agree, he was even told to go lower, I think he would have got 13 clean
His reps were mostly fine. The first four or so needed to come down just a little more but he corrected pretty quickly. Absolutely not just 'halfway'.
my trainer always told me it was dangerous to bounce it on the chest so just get the arms at 90 degrees and that's fine, it actually increases the time under tension.
I'd walk away in debt 😂
Me too 😂
Love this kind of content 💪🏽 keep your great work..😆
Literally helps him bring it up “that was you”

OMG BAILEY! GOD BLESS YOU!
quite fun to watch these types of videos
I'm in a Bench Press position, but on my Bed! 😴
Idk why this shit ain’t got more likes, this had me jimmy neutron blasting of laughing. 💀😂
I bench press in my sleep, mostly in the morning to lift the covers off of me from sleeping
5:10 Ik he was tryin to encourage and doin his best to help but that bar touch is 😬😬😬 Could’ve waited till the bar moves down, not while it’s at level
why did u give that mexican dude green light on all his reps when none of them touched his chest?
cuz dude this is just a friendly challenge for views and a good time. this isnt tryouts for the marines lol and has to be all strickler and ticky tacky... he even said "as long as it doesnt hurt you"
Just because one is brown or Hispanic don’t automatically make them Mexican 🤦🏽😂

Wow peoples are so strong! I only could do 7 at 225.
Same here! We can get to that 3 plate club tho!
Pat's $20 is like $50 if you count inflation 😂
Why you letting people do half reps?
my max is 135 id only get a dollar!
You counted all of Stephen's reps but correct contestants for not going all the way down or up on pull ups? C'mon man lol
bar doesnt have to go all the way down man its easier if it does lol but if you got a shoulder injury you dont go all the way
@@aidenberkshire2764 it has to go all the way down. That was zero reps
@@aidenberkshire2764 I got a bad shoulder and still go all the way down. Your chest doesn’t get stretched when you go all the way down.

Need a lower tier for women, 135 bench is pretty high. I love these challenges but it sucks that most women aren't able to do even one 😢 bailey beat out 80 reps on the bar and still got less than the dudes

Love all of your videos 👏🏼👏🏼
2nd guy bench is better imo, no bounce off the chest
yea but only did like 5
@@nooptiui Can you do it once bro.
If it is high rep, then bouncing is okay, even arching is okay. If you are Working out for hypertrophy, then full rom, no arch, no bounce.
Giving away money for partial reps😂 I still wouldn’t be able to get more than 8 of 225 cause it hard for me to not do full reps
315 should be at least $50-75 a rep lol... i can only do 315 for 1 rep but i can do 225 for 15 reps. Not only is 315 so much harder to do, its also riskier do it cold without proper warmup.
At what rep range for 225 were you able to max out at 315? 15? Or was it lower?
@@en3mes Yep, it was around 14-16.
Right on man! I’m in the hunt for 3 plates…. Currently maxing out at 275lb.
@@en3mes nice! You are close! Don't rush thou, training safely and consistently will get you there 💪
Exactly same here. Can do 315 for 1. And my best rep max on 225 is 12.
These dudes tossing up 225 like it's nothing...I'm barely getting up 200 for one rep.
I've gone to two gyms... A commercial gym where the average was 80kg's. 120 was on the good side.
Also used to gym at a bodybuilding dungeon, a sweat job, a gym that's in a bad part of town, industrial part that hasn't changed in culture or equipment from the time that Arnold Schwarzenegger visited in the 70's. I used to train my harder days in Powerlifting there - average bench was 140kg, 170 on the better side.
I'm female. My raw bench was around 105kg, much more in equipped. I used to train there with my ex. Good times, good memories. Glad it's over though and I retired from PL.
Anyway, it really depends on the kind of gym you go to, to get the good numbers. I miss seeing guys train for powerlifting and doing 220kg like it's sliding on a wet floor. That was awesome.
Hit 13 of 225 last year..can only do 9 now
Bailey did a ton of reps, according to the bench press calculator, inputting 45lb x 80, her 1RM should be 165lb.
16 reps counted with no chest touch? Those ain't incline presses! BS 💩
Why would anyone ever bench the 315 that’s a horrible deal. I’d only win $50. 135 would make me fatigue quicker so 225 is the sweet spot. I’d say I’d be somewhere around 18-25 reps
The bar? Stop 😂
I'm almost 50 do I get a senior citizen rep handicap lol I just started training consistent recently and can get between 10 to 15 reps with 225. Depends on the day recovery as you get older sucks. Awesome video
All I saw was glutes and purple!
Pat is such a nice dude
In conclusion: I am underestimating myself too much. I am stronger than most people here.
Pretty wild huh…thinking you’re weak af but could surpass most these numbers

Funny how some of the videos from Bunker leave the best for last.
3:00 baby reps is crazy
I can’t do half as many reps with 315 as 225. I’d love to put that weight on but if I was there I’m not gunna make 70 for 3 plates when I could get over 100 for two plates
That chick at only 45 lbs, no money. You can't change the rules, remember, we are all equal now.
Stephen did 0...
Plates seem fake. Some of these guys do not look like they can bench 225 for reps
Some powerlifters look dyel and will bench 4 plates and more
When I tell you I wish things like this happened near me. Bench for reps is my thing 😭😭
I'm 155, and I can do 6 reps of 225 now that my shoulder is better. Sucks cuz that dude looks more buff than me.
How can you be a half repper and decide to enter this competition.?
June is the prettiest girl i've ever seen
11.... come on you got 9 more.
*Activate Ultra Instinct*
The reward to weight ratio makes no sense. 315lbs should ge an automatic $50 or more. Otherwise it makes no sense to go for that when you can make more money doing 200lbs.
I would have loved to bench just the bar
Telling people to go all the way up is such bad manners and cheap.
Эх почему у нас в России нет такого дорого пацана как Остин.
Штангу бы спиздили быстрее чем нашёлся желающий🙃
I might be able to bounce 225 once or twice for half reps
I kind of wonder if someone is really strong, could they potentially make more money by going for more reps with a lower weight....
When are y'all coming to Vegas?!?
10 bucks for a 325 rep? Nope. I'd stick with the 5 for 225. I'd make at least 30 bucks more if it were back in the day of course.
In my prime, i used to warm up with 225lbs weighing at 162lb bw.
Ok
I used to jog barefoot on glass. 10 miles. Under 10 mins. Was 200lbs of pure muscle. 0% fat, 0% bones. True story.

Purple pants was a good thumbnail choice shawty thicc
The 1st guy did half reps
The red hoodie did not touch his chest
Pat = Legend
I wish i could run into you so I can get money because my parents keep my money
315 too light should of had 405 for reps
I would do 135 .
I wonder what a woman doing 135 would get each rep. My max is 13 reps
I dont bench anymore. But my max is only 260 and my max at 225 was only 4... That was about 6 years ago. Id probably get like 2 reps now haha. But id definitely do it for a quick 10 bucks. I love exercising

It’s too cheap should be 20 50 and 100
So nobody noticed the first guy looks exactly like Ben Shapiro?
i would take the bar for .50
Cut Stephen's payout in half. I don't think he touched the bar to his chest once.
No body did 315
JJ disappointed
That first girl can fart pretty loud.
as someone who can l lift 315 there was zero incentive for anyone to do it for $10. I you can lift 315 even one time, then you are doing 225 at least 12. Math was not mathing this episode
315 should be more like $100 a rep instead of $10.
Damn easy hundo lol
Interesting! The guy who had a "trainer" jacket on clearly demonstrated he doesn't know how to properly lift. You can't make this up. Lol
No disrespect Butch, but I only clicked because of Bailey

Stephan got 0 reps bro wtf
10 reps of 225 ? and your a trainer ? Looks like he needs to be training more.
Hello Pat!
how to cheat in 10 min

The “all the way up” command on bench is kinda rough. In order to maintain good form when benching for reps you do not wanna over press to the point where you lose tightness in your shoulders. I thought all these lock outs were honestly fine and telling ppl to over press screws up their form.
😂
