Definitely one of the most entertaining videos I have watched from Sunday Sounds

Really appreciate this, David. In the context of a controller for Sunday Keys, I agree 100% with the review re: the drawbacks. That said, my mind went to that young person with a heart for worship, but without the means to get started (much less, practice at home). If there was a kid who wanted to learn keys but was having trouble, this might be a doable place to begin. Just a thought. Thanks, man.

Maybe you could reach out and correspond with Glarry and see if they can make a budget friendly hammer weighted keyboard specifically for SK's users. Like make one to your exact specifications ans sell it for around $350.

Very entertaining and informative review. I don't think the velocity settings in Mainstage would do much for you if the keyboard is hitting Max (127) too easily. It is possible that having a velocity setting in the keyboard could be more helpful but the stepping would still be an issue.

You should review the Starfavor SP-150W. It’s fully weighted and only around $330 w/o the stand

I use a nektar impact lx88+. Amazing keyboard but I’m gonna upgrade to something with weighted keys.

We'd recommend looking into the SL88 Studio or M-Audio Hammer 88.

      @@SundaySounds oh yeah. I already have a korg nanokontrol2 so a sl88 is ideal.

too bad it doesn't have a mod wheel where you control the filter cutoff and i wonder if you could do a review on the Arturia keylab 88 MkII

I’ve got that keyboard, I really like it! It’s definitely a “lil” heavier than other keyboards like the Roland RD -2000 for example, and might get a little tiring after a loooong period of time.
But quality, playability and looks ❤️❤️🙏
      I recommend. 👍

Hey, thanks for the informative video! So I am wondering that I just need a weighted keyboard with not that much of requirements, and I would be using this keyboard as a master keyboard for my reface CP. Would you recommend this one, or any other cheap keyboard under $400 I can look into?
One more thing is that I’m also considering the Arturia keylab essential 88, how does the keybed feels compare to this one? Thank you

Looks like the model that was just the keyboard without the wooden keyboard stand is not on Amazon anymore, its on Ebay and Glarry's website, but it does look like the price has gone up a bit as well.

Good video, does anybody here tried the m audio Prokeys 88? Its an old weighted keys controller. But there is not much info, I found one at 120$ does it worth it? Or its a bad keyboard?

well.... we may have forgotten to test them, but they looked to be wired in. Probably just a QC issue that the ports were still covered.

This video starts like a vlog/reaction video, turns into an unboxing/first impression, and then slides into a review.
While the increased production quality for this video is nice and entertaining, my personal opinion is that you could've halved the length of this video and created a better product.
Either this same format and shorter, or a more technical review and shorter would have been nice.
    Great work!
