For anyone getting this message, restart the machine. That's what worked for me." General failure reading drive A, Abort, Retry, Fail?"
For the people having troubles with the no bootable medium error, put the floppy disk in the empty slot. Do not add a new disk or it will be in floppy drive 1 and cause the error to happen.

Won't let me move on with the installation process it won't let me disable Hardware Virtualization, which I need to disable otherwise I won't be able to start the machine.

I cant find "Disk 1 - Setup" When I access the files in the "empty" floppy disk. How Do I fix this?
Edit: Matter of fact, No files are there.
Try opening the RAR file and highlight all the files and move them into the selection.

@Taylor Kratky First you have to install WinRAR then download the RAR file and then in the downloads folder then look for the RAR file then right click it then put your cursor on "Open With" then choose WinRAR.

You probably didn't add the setup virtual floppy to the Floppy controller.

Look in your Bios for options labeled “Intel VT-x,” or “Intel Virtualization Technology,” “Virtualization Extensions,” “Vanderpool,” or similar. Enable it, then save the settings changes and reboot the PC. It worked like a charm for me. I can now press the ok button in my VirtualBox settings when I add floppy disks.

I have a problem, it can't start the OS. It says failed to open a session for the virtual machine and i think i did exactly the same in this video.

Rclk on the grey floppy icon and choose 'Choose a disk file..'. Select the CD-ROM file you downloaded.

asking for safe measure, when installing dos it formats the "c drive". it's not touching my actual c drive on the host computer, correct?
Correct. It is only formatting the virtual drive that is created in Virtualbox.

GREAT! I tried to download ONE, OS, and now virtualbox doesn't open, instead it says 'failed to acquire the VirtualBox COM object'. I wont download a virtual machine ever again.
cant get the cd rom drivers tried getting it from the world pc site but its not there please tell us how to get it if you dont give the permission for google drive downloads

Make sure the New Machine is set to be a DOS one.
