Knew this was Harold Shipman, my husband’s nan had him when he was in Hyde but luckily he was ,i guess, feeling lazy that day and wasn’t helpful, so she saw someone else the next day. Unfortunately she is no longer with us 💔but thankfully, not because of him.
Been waiting for this one, my mum went to school with one of his sons and went over to their house multiple times, it’s scary how he was doing all this behind closed doors. Also we love you Eleanor!! x
I just wanted to say a warm thank you for that cancer content warning. It's not often that content creators think of this. As a survivor, I get horrible anxiety around the topic and I'm glad I was given the opportunity to click out and simply watch another case. Keep up the wonderful work. Love the channel!
Also I once encountered someone who was a prison officer and had Harold Shipman chained to him to take him to a hospital appointment and he said that he was "a very arrogant little man" and described him as "snidey and evil".
In highschool I had a supply teacher who had worked on the Harold Shipman case, before he retired. He said Harold was weirdly nice and spoke as though he was catching up with an old friend…. apparently his wife was insufferable Lol.
He was my nan’s doctor before she moved house and got a new one! She told my grandad that there was always something a little creepy about him. His old practice remained empty for years because people thought it was jinxed!
As someone with multiple chronic illnesses I can 100% confirm that getting into a GP centre with a doctor who has a good reputation, particularly one who appears eager to prescribe pain relief, is definitely like winning the lottery if not better because it offers hope.

Well life is complex. And sometimes (more likely very intelligent?) people can be totally evil and really nice at the same time? Like totally cruel and sadistic and taking great pleasure in causing massive pain to someone else, and shortly afterwards being really sympathetic and caring and comforting to a suffering soul? And neither is more false or true than the other, they are are just different ways of being. People can be very complex and can possibly sometimes in all honesty be both, maybe not at the same time, but in quick succession?
No wayyyy I wanted to recommend this case for you because you mentioned it in a previous video that I was watching yesterday and today here it is Great work Eleanor as always !!! ☺️💕
There is a lot of people with the nickname Doctor Death. Two people I can think off the top of my head are Jack Kevirkian and Christopher Duntsch. Both had very high profile cases in America. As a nursing student, I can not fathom why people would do that to innocent people!! P.S. Great Job Elenor! Love your content!!
Ofcourse he was still going to take these drugs after rehab. Forced drug rehab doesn't work. A person HAS to WANT to get sober. You can't FORCE a person to get sober.
For some reason I assumed you'd have already done this video! I'm really excited to see how this turns out, as I don't know the case too well. Looking forward to part 2!
I work in a pharmacy and he is the reason we have to now have a CD register. We have to log every controlled drug that enters and leaves the pharmacy xx
as a health and social care student, we learn about him and his crimes and its sad and outrageous to think someone who is supposed to care can do such things.

Where his surgery was is my pharmacy, it gives me chills whenever I go in. I'm a patient at The Brooke and it freaks me out how much has happened 5 minutes from my house. Even my best friends nana had experience with Harold and he took care of a lot of her family members.
Enjoy your telling of these stories, Eleanor. Thank you for all the work you do to acquire and organize information on these cases. Love your natural look!

Harold shipman was my doctor while I was a child. While living in Hyde, Cheshire. It sounds really bad but I’m almost grateful I was a child and didn’t have any money. Rip to all the peoples lives he took 😔
The "other" Dr. Death was Christopher Duntch. If you haven't heard the podcast based on him I highly recommend you seek it out. The mini series "Dr. Death" with Christian Slater, Alec Baldwin and Joshua Jackson as Dr. Duntch is incredible. His story was so insane and over the top it's hard to believe it really happened. That guy was an absolute monster. 😈
That guy..🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 i cant even!! Makes me so sad too. He could have been such a help to ppl, but instead killed them and maimed them and traumatized them.
The amount of detail you go into covering the stories you tell is incredible. You manage to turn a 25 minute story into a 1hr 45mins 2 part story it’s literally amazing and definitely helps when I can’t get to Sleep 🤣🙏🏻
Dr Shipman was my nephew's dad's family doctor, according to them everything was a complete shock and they did not suspect a thing. He apparently came across as a really nice and personable doctor, he'd go out of his way to help them and even did a few housecalls for them when one of the kids contracted the measles. They even picked up a perscription from the GP the morning he was arrested for his crimes.
Great work as always , Eleanor. I love your little Christmas tree, so cute. This is such a horrifying case. We all want to believe if there’s anyone we should be able to trust with our life , it’s our Dr.
Idk if there’s something wrong with me but I can’t stop binge watching your videos! 😂 I’d love it if you could pls cover the case of Tomasz Komenda - it’s a different case from your usual ones but it needs to spoken more about. He was recently released from prison after being wrongfully convicted for 25yrs for rape and murder of a girl, when he wasn’t even there when it happened and the murderer walked free for decades until recently. I hope you see this, nobody else on RUclips I know of, has spoken about this case 🤍
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE MAKE IT PART 2 IN YHE TITLE! It can be hard for new viewers trying to catch up on old videos when they all have separate names. I've finally gotten better at finding the part 2s and 3s but I see this comment a lot on your stuff. Love what you do and appreciate all the work that you put into it. Thanks!
I agree lol.. when I first started her videos a few months ago, I would always get confused and would watch about 10 minutes of number 2 before realizing it WAS number 2, so I just started listening to the intro better and finally got the hang. And also when going from the bottom of the list (first vids) to the top (latest more current vids) I couldn't put them on auto play because two would always be above one so I had to do some juggling but now I'm all caught up so now I have the hang of it😂😂

I also appreciate the warnings, including any mention of animal abuse. I listened recently to a Real Crimes documentary and this guy blurted something out about animal abuse with no warning and I just had to shut it down. It just impacted me so much. So, thank you, Eleanor.
I totally and completely agree! 💗
Ngl, I didn’t expect to see this many people who feel the same way, this is such a lovely surprise 💙
One of the most notorious serial killers ever. Friday night just got made better. Eleanor thank you for the upload x
Thank you for coming along!! xox
And me living in America has never heard of him 🤦🏻♀️ but here to learn about him
Yesss! Popcorn, ramen and Eleanor are the perfect combo 🤌🏾🔥

could you do alison botha? she was stabbed and almost decapitated and managed to walk for help whilst holding up her own head and holding intenstines and miraculously survived!!
😱
Wow that’s amazing so happy that she survived but sad that she had to go through that. Man I pray she is doing well!!!!
Oh yes.. her case is absolutely brutal.. in South Africa right? She wrote about her ordeal.. it’s amazing that she survived her attackers. Strong woman..
this is crazy, i would love to hear more about this as well! what a strong girl
elli u she has a documentary on amazon prime i’m pretty sure! i think the two men who did it are going to be released soon!
Another messed up medical "professional" - Beverly Allitt. She was a British nurse who was convicted of murdering four children, attempting to murder three other children, and causing grievous bodily harm to a further six. All between February and April 1991!
Scarily, she's currently being held in a maximum security psychiatric hospital, however her minimum tariff of 30 years is almost up. If she's deemed "fit" she could be transferred to a prison and be given the right to apply for parole! That's a damn scary thought!
I love your videos. They are really well researched and interesting to watch. They really brighten my day x
I would love to see a video about Beverly Allitt, that would be really good. I'm looking forward to watching this one.
And victor Chua in manchester
@@jennieredhead Eleanor has already done a video on Beverley Allitt not long ago. Scroll down and you will see :)

I’d love to hear his story. you’re clearly a very good friend:)
@@charliebryant4561 thank you so much. I really hope one day his story can be told he was an amazing person.
My grandad was in prison with dr. Death. In prison he had to be transferred as he was taking control of the section he was in. He could control the inmates and the guards by confusing, gas lighting and manipulating them all. He was then moved to another prison and had to be by himself at all times. Wierd guy.
Bow that's freaky scary
Wow that is terrifying!
That’s crazy!
Addicts are in denial themselves and full of shame so being upset that he didn't tell her is completely common. If you think you don't have a problem you aren't going to tell anyone you have a problem
Yeah the deceit in a relationship where someone has an addiction is horrible when you love someone and they meant to love you but they lie and hide things from you because of their addiction it does make you upset.
@@emmaw944 however it does need to be remembered that their brains are so chemically altered that they literally cannot remember and think outside of the drugs they are addicted to- when they dont consume it they have almost no serotonin and thus feel like an intense pain and have to take the drug to ease that. Im not an addict but theres been more research done on the affects of addiction and its not such a choice or sometimes even curable
I love how… natural? Comfortable? Eleanor acts in this video. The little comments that didn’t really belong to the case, the giggles… I love her usual videos, but in this one she seemed like she was having a good day. I’m happy for her :)
Right! It feels like I'm having a conversation w a friend
When Eleanor says “Soh tuhdays’ videoh…” my day is instantly improved. 💗
Thank you for the terminal cancer warning. Many people overlook it or don’t think to warn about it but you’re extremely thorough and respectful and it really means a lot
Also we love you Eleanor!! x
omg that's horrifying! thank you for sharing though, i'm so glad your mama is okay! sending love your way girl x
@JJ ОIаtuпji 🅥 shut up
I always drop everything and click the notifs when Eleanor posts and it's ALWAYS WORTH IT

I have the weirdest memory of Eleanor asking in a video if we’d like her to do a video on this killer like years ago? I think - either way excited!
My boyfriends grandma’s sister was one his victims! I remember him telling me and I just needed to know more
My roommate’s sister’s aunt’s great grandma was also a victim Omg it was crazy
In highschool I had a supply teacher who had worked on the Harold Shipman case, before he retired. He said Harold was weirdly nice and spoke as though he was catching up with an old friend…. apparently his wife was insufferable Lol.
@nochuu Just very chatty, she always seemed nice to me whenever I met her though.
@@annathirlaway1242 lol
@Kim-Seraphina It was probably just an easy change to make some money in the end of his career. You can't be a detective when you're super old
He was my nan’s doctor before she moved house and got a new one!
Eleanor Neale: my day is always better when I see that you’ve put up another video and I get to watch and listen to your true crime stories. Thank you!
and then you hear it's part one...

I love when Eleanor says to get a cup of tea if you can’t listen to a subject today, my dad always tells me to make tea when I’m upset or struggling. ❤️
I'm 30 years old and the thought of losing my mother makes me break down. I don't even want to imagine what that feels like, but it's gonna happen some day. Losing a parent is seriously tough, but using that as an excuse to kill people is a disgrace.
Exactly...i lose my dad this year, i just turned 24 yesterday. Initially i kept on having dreams of him...daily. Smelling his perfumes made me sad, the thing isnt easy to handle but not ONCE i thought of killing others
@@yuki97kira Exactly! Why would you want to inflict the pain you've felt on other people? It just doesn't make sense to me. Also, I'm sorry about your father. I'm sure if he could read your comment he'd be happy and proud. As long as somebody remembers you fondly and with grace, then you're never really dead.
We don’t need to hear your opinion as someone who hasn’t even lost a parent. Just please, have mercy on others and stop sharing your personal experiences if they’re not relevant
I literally love how she tells these stories and you can just tell she one of them people who is so nice to everyone xx

Harold was my dad, uncle and grandads doctor. All we hear from him is ‘he was such a nice guy tho!’ Can’t have been THAT nice dad he killed people
Well life is complex.
I love how she got so excited for a case, she's so amazing. Such a beautiful human being.
Love this story idk why when I’m depressed and anxious true crime bloggers always soothe me I know it’s ironic but it’s true lol Thx Eleanor!!!!

Eleanor, since you hit the 2M mark you should celebrate by doing another themed week like you used to do!!! Please need it
Love you, congrats xoxo
No wayyyy
I wanted to recommend this case for you because you mentioned it in a previous video that I was watching yesterday and today here it is
Great work Eleanor as always !!! ☺️💕
"Here in Hyde, it's not as easy to ..... you know...."
Me " HIDE"
"Fly under the radar"
Yeah she missed an opportunity with that one 😆
I’ve just started watching Eleanor for about two weeks but omg I am addicted to the way she tells true crime!
Thank you for putting a warning for cancer, it’s my biggest phobia and I’ve never heard anyone put warnings for it
I work in a pharmacy and he is the reason we have to now have a CD register. We have to log every controlled drug that enters and leaves the pharmacy xx
Can't wait to hear part 2, but also caseify looks so cool and all bur wish they had more of an android selection
Yes!!!
as a health and social care student, we learn about him and his crimes and its sad and outrageous to think someone who is supposed to care can do such things.
its cool seeing eleanor slowly grow the quality of her content and show more personal clips like her dropping her phone
You explain these cases so well and you have such love for the victims. You’re such a kind, loving soul Eleanor Neale. Love ya girl! Xo
I’m studying criminology and this guy was mentioned, glad you’re talking about this case 💃🏼
Thank you so much for the warning about cancer. Knowing the topic would be talked about prepared me enough to not get triggered :] ♡
You’re amazing, keep up the good work. Hope all is well with you x
I love how your showing more of your personality in your cases recently I’ve noticed you beam and glow it’s so amazing love you girl
Eleanor, even though this video is 2 years old, it's still great. you explain everything so well, that I can even just listen and ill understand everything!
The way you tell stories is amazing. It's like you're telling it like you were there, and your emotions are so genuine. Keep up the good work ✨

Thank you so very much Eleanor! The way you tell these stories …. You have a gift!! It’s undeniable.
It’s very much appreciated that you don’t include sick details, and you always warn us so that we can skip the part. Thank you!
Your videos are perfect to listen to while doing daily tasks like cooking, cleaning or relaxing for me
I can just lay in bed eyes closed and listen to your voice
And the cases you cover are always so interesting!!
Love ya Eleanor!
Yes!! I always clean while listening to her !
Harold shipman was my doctor while I was a child. While living in Hyde, Cheshire. It sounds really bad but I’m almost grateful I was a child and didn’t have any money. Rip to all the peoples lives he took 😔
My next-door neighbour used to be a Nurse. Today I found out that her doctor was Dr Shipman. Scary world out there.
I was freaked out by the similarities in the two cases! Both men are absolutely terrible 😠 I can't believe how long Shipman got away with this
Very well done, Eleanor ! Can't wait for Part 2 !
I remember this shocking case like it was yesterday!! Great research as always Eleanor!
I always get so excited when Eleanor posts! Thank you so much for making my days better with your videos!!!
I’d love it if you could pls cover the case of Tomasz Komenda - it’s a different case from your usual ones but it needs to spoken more about. He was recently released from prison after being wrongfully convicted for 25yrs for rape and murder of a girl, when he wasn’t even there when it happened and the murderer walked free for decades until recently. I hope you see this, nobody else on RUclips I know of, has spoken about this case 🤍
Watching Eleanor is the only thing that's keeping my sanity from completely fading away these days tbh
2 million subscribers Eleanor?! This is amazing to see!! So very deserved, congrats ❤️
And also when going from the bottom of the list (first vids) to the top (latest more current vids) I couldn't put them on auto play because two would always be above one so I had to do some juggling but now I'm all caught up so now I have the hang of it😂😂
Your looking so pretty today! I can't wait for part two already I love these stories
It’s been a while since I’ve watched Eleanor and I have to say she looks so much happier and bubbly than when I was here way back. I love seeing that beautiful smile 😭🤍
