Can we stop thinking in terms of “Oh, we can’t hire such and such type of HC, because if he’s not a playcaller and his OC gets hired away as a HC elsewhere…” I would KILL for some team to even wanna interview a Jets OC for their HC job because they’re that good. It never happens lol

Rex reminds me of Bobby Valentine. He used his job at MLB network to lobby for and get the job as Red Sox manager. That ended in tears😢, so would rehiring Rex.

Vrabral, Stefanski, Ben Johnson should be top 3
A wildcard for me is Josh McCown. Who will be a OC soon.
Glenn and Ryan would be legacy hires I would be intrigued by but would not feel great about about working out in 2025's NFL

"How do you watch these final six games?" That's the neat part; you don't!

I heard an interesting scenario to bring in Ben Johnson and then trade for his back up QB Hooker who is now fully healthy and he knows the system.

Build like youre from the north. Bolster the heck out of the o-line. Wont need an insane all star qb. Rbs are good. Find a good te. Eliminate insane ego's from lockeroom, especially the ones that say they dont have ego's and have zero accountability.

Do people even listen to interviews .....Ben Johnson said he wants to stay in Detroit until they win a Superbowl....bunch of people keep saying they want Curtis Martin for football operations....he has said he doesn't like football...it was only his job

See people, anyone with a little football knowledge laughs at the Rex idea!! So many of you are actually thinking this is an answer. It is indeed laughable

Ben Johnson has turned down better opportunities, why would he go to the jets?

They should really give Bart Scott a try. The way he breaks down film is pretty great. No nonsense guy Need that kind of attitude. A DC at least.

Scott has the requisite toughness and mindset but, I highly doubt a former player with ZERO experience in the NFL, not only as a position coach, but as a coordinator or a head coach, is going to be able to transition into the job seamlessly and is worth such a towering and difficult situation and job.
Also, do we really believe he has the organizational and communication skills and intelligence to deal with everybody from the medical, training, and scouting staffs, to the officials and the local and national media. Scott would bevan extremely risky and reckless choice!
