Guys I'm so proud of this one. I really hope you enjoyed it, and its maybe inspired you to travel to Wales, which is BEAUTIFUL! Where would you like to see us travel to next? As always thank you for your support. Gem
Thanks for this Gem. We live about 45 mins from Caernarfon and have an adult son in a wheelchair. I will be sharing this with some groups locally who advise visitors on accessible things to do. If you do pop back, you might want to have a night in Llandudno and go to Venue Cymru, who have many of the West End shows on tour. I go there regularly with my son and in Wales, with the Hynt Card, carers go free with a wheelchair user.
You should be proud! This was really inspirational and fun. I've told my partner and we're considering a trip to Wales now! I'd love to know the name of the hotel at the end...it was stunning. Thanks for taking us along, as usual! And pleaaasseee go back and try the zip wire! It's really heartwarming to see these things and holidaying using a wheelchair. ❤ CONGRATS on such a big sponsorship! You deserve this so much and we love being taken along with you. I'm glad they chose you ❤
I have just been to Windsor Castle. Really impressed at it as it is fully accessible for wheelchairs and scooters. Staff are very helpful. Even got into St George’s chapel to pay my respect to the late queen
Fabulous! Great to see that Carnarvon Castle is so accessible and thise views! Certainly going to be going back to North Wales to take in those views. Thanks Gem. 😊
Coming from your more recent South Wales video. Thank you for suggesting me watch this video too, that train ride was spectacular. Me and my uncle walked up Snowdon quite a few years ago but would like to do this train someday too.
Wonderful video, definitely adding things to my to visit list! For anyone visiting South Wales, I've been to Pembrokeshire Castle in a wheelchair and it was a great experience. My family and I did the guided tour which was adjusted without needing to ask, so that I could go pwith the tour the whole way. They've got accessible toilets and wheelchair access into the cafe as well I believe. It was so good, I was able to push myself around the majority of the visit and I have arms that get tired quickly. Word of warning though, I'd bring someone who can push you, or if you can walk a short distance up hill, as getting through the gate is quite steep, but after that's it's great! Again, great video!!
I've got a caravan in Towyn, North Wales. I have been to some stunning places. Both me and mum are disabled but we can walk with a walker so its nice to see places that we have not seen yet are accessible for us. Thanks for the ideas Gem x
The accessibility at the castle looks great! I climbed Snowdon with my dad as a teenager when I was completely able-bodied. We went up Watkins route. Also did rockclimbing, kayaking, orienteering in Wales too!
I went to Wales about 15 years ago with my parents and my sister. I loved Wales! We went to Caernarfon castle but stayed in a different hotel, also wonderful. We were near the railway but opted to hike the hills instead. A great part of our GB trip. Looked like you had a fantastic time!
North Wales is lovely, I also went to the Castle was so fun, I didn't do the coaster but my wife did. im also planning to do a zip line or something at some point soon. wanna do something crazy to raise some money for my charity not sure what it will be yet thought. glad u had fun. are u able to do us a video on your new Batec at some point like how its different to you last one.
I was just researching Welsh travel. So this is a timely video. I'm never been to the UK. I'm across the pond in California. Nos Da Gem. I'm been starting to learn welsh. I'm not very good yet.
I tried on duo lingo and in the first ten minutes they start teaching you to say welcome to the dragon. 🐉. I’d recommend bringing a spare set of underwear, just in case! 😱🫣
I wish you would do this for Ireland! I have been to major tourist attractions where the shops don’t have ramps and I have to wait outside while my husband goes in to take photos with his phone. Sometimes I just can’t be bothered. When will they realise that disabled people have money to spend and it would be in their interests to let us shop.
At least you had one where you're at a castle also been meaning to go on an Alpine coaster for a while and also could you go to Ireland especially things on Celtic culture?

I have wanted to do the zip line for a while. The thing I want to work out is what you did about the wheelchair. I usually do rides, I have to leave my chair as the last thing, as most seats that are not my chair are painful. (I was the first member of the public to get the medics to Everest in WDW, and one the first people from a wheelchair. I heard they turn it down a bit. They how put disabled people in a different place, and warn about back problems where planning on putting disabled people) I know just after they opened my friends went up in the back of a Landrover which my back would not have coped with.
Hmm will going up the mountain I think you go in a 4X4 and its over a quarry, so very bumpy. They have had lots of wheelchair users and people with all sorts of disablites. I have a feeling the drive your wheelchair back down to meet you after your zip line.

@@Wheelsnoheels When you go back, I recommend a visit to Portmeirion, where The Prisoner was filmed.
When you got off of the train, I thought "her legs must be very warm with that blanket" Wales is very beautiful. ✌️🇺🇸🇬🇧🏴
Yes nice and toasty, as it was freezing ontop of snowdon.

So, it was nice to see where my ancestors came from. Wales, Ireland, and last 200 years ago, Scotland.
Its an awesome place. Where abouts in the world are you now?

Looks like you guys had wonderful trip! 👍
It was lots of fun :)
That fast thing you went on looked way more fun than the zip in the wind! I have to find out if we have one in the USA
That was amazing! I want to go!

Ah that sounds awesome glad you had a good time. Where are you guys from?
We are from the US. I am very glad Wales was accessible for you. I am not hiking hills anymore. I have balance issues and use a walker
I am also deaf and found Great Britain to be very accessible especially for the historic sites we visited
Really loved this, ❤
Oh yay! Thank you so much. We worked very hard on it. 😊
It's great, you had fun too thats even better 😊
Accessibility has definitely improved.

I love fish and chips with malt vinegar...

You also have to sign a waver. and there were questions about back & neck problems.
Some countries are so far ahead of the USA in their accessabilies..
Don't those sheep know the Highway Code? You're only supposed to travel two abreast in one lane. 🤦⚠️
Hahah, Unfortunalty I could speak welsh to let them know ;)
