      Same here. Though my enjoyment of the game hasn't been diminished one bit, because there has been enough different in my second playthrough to make it feel quite unique (I never knew how much I relied on my high Charisma-in my first playthrough-to get me out of difficult scrapes 😉).

    Don't forget to level up! Learn your companions' abilyties. Astarion and your character is best when they're sneaking. Shadowheart can heal and protect others. You missed 3 other companions on your way, but you can go back. Take your time talking to NPCs, lots of them have side quests or just interesting stories. Also save the game a lot

    From levels 1-3, Shadowheart is your MVP. She can heal you, buff your party during combat and improve your chances of succeeding at Skill checks.....plus her guiding bolt and Sacred Flame Spells can pack quite a wallop.

      That’s awesome-I’m still learning how to use her so I’ll definitely keep that in mind! Past level 3, do you think she isn’t as strong?

      @@itisidaisyttvoh no, she is definitely still super useful after level 3, its just that you feel the benefits of her aid more strongly at lower levels. Having a cleric or druid in your party is a *must* IMO.

      Unfortunately a lot of ppl don't understand the saving throw aspect of sacred flame on the enemy side so they think it's just that shadowheart herself or sacred flame sucks, when it's simply a matter of building around increasing her spell DC and reducing enemies spell save DC, then that cantrip can REALLY shine (especially when it comes to gear like the luminous armor, etc!)

    You really should be playing on balanced difficulty! When you feel comfortable it's a quick setting change. Also I can't wait till you figure out how to actually use sneak attack. I'm halfway into this vid still wondering when she'll notice she can level up.😂

    Figuring out how to throw healing potions so quickly is the most impressive thing I've seen any player do in this game. I'd already beaten the game once before I even realized it was possible, and that was after seeing various NPCs do it. 😭

      @@itisidaisyttv You can go back but bear in mind you'll only ever be able to have 3 companions in the party at a time and swapping them around so you can do their quests all in one playthrough is some minmaxing hell. As someone who missed most of them in my first playthrough, it honestly just gave me more stuff to discover and play the second time I played through. Being stuck with just laezel, astarion and shadowheart for me until I got the bad guy route companion meant I could play to all of their stories without worrying too much then on my second playthrough I picked up the others and am working on their stories.
      A lot of people for example kill lae'zel or just put her at camp because they already have enough companions, even though her character arc is one of the better ones imo, and maybe I wouldn't have even done it if I'd had the choice of some of the others right from the start. Just something to think about.

      @@itisidaisyttv I saw it just now. 👍 But by all due respect, you seem to be afraid of your actions in the dialogue system. Don't, just Role-play the heck out of it, the worst that can happen is that you have to load up a previous save.
      And it is a good idea to level up as soon as you can, in D&D one level makes all the difference in the world. 😉

      Nettie may try killing the player character. Without a second's hesitation at that. As if they were a lousy dog. Kagha doesn't try to harm the party in any way. She is merely looking to protect the grove.

    • @Roland1405
      @Roland1405 5 месяцев назад

      @@velinas_ Sorry, I just see this, you are not one of the brightest, are you? . 🤣Kaga is allied with the shadow druids that want to kill about every human being that is not living like them and will kill a child in cold blood, wile Nettie is really trying to protect the grove. (And for all she know you are indeed the biggest threat around.)

    • @velinas_
      @velinas_ 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@Roland1405 My characters are not human. I know perfectly well who the shadow druids are. They were described in good detail already in BG1, released two decades ago.
      The shadow druids see no value in human civilisation. They pose no threat whatsoever to other druids that will follow them. They don't have the numbers to pose any threat to anyone but useless subsistence farmers who are despoiling wilderness to barely survive ( because they don't even know how to farm correctly and efficiently and haven't even heard of permaculture).
      The party members risk ceremorphosis within the next few days. They don't have the time to run time consuming errands for anyone else.
      This is very basic self-preservation. They don't know that their tadpoles have been tampered with and operate differently, at this stage of the game.
      Kicking out the tieflings from the grove and letting Kagha complete the ritual saves the lives of the druids. This is the kindest move that doesn't simultaneously doom the party to likely erasure.
      The first symptom of changes that the infected host has is mere fever. Fever is a basic symptom in most other infections. Nettie couldn't care any less about the survival of the party, she attempts to murder my character. So I kill her. Which she certainly deserves. Her death was entirely self-inflicted. None of the other druids attacked me, therefore they get to live and become shadow druids instead. A fair solution. They are isolated from the outside, noone can easily enter or leave that grove. It is such an elegant solution.
      The party then rescues Halsin. He will have other things to do because of the Shadow cursed lands. He isn't going to be alone outside of the grove, and what books he is now locked out from are very easily replaced, most likely.
      Learn how to argue better, rather than resorting to insults and dehumanization. It looks better and is more effective. Lol.
