I remember when Electric Shock was released and it got onto RUclips's trending page, which back then was a big deal for a kpop group :)

Pink Tape is the album everyone talks about when they mention F(x) and for good reason but personally the Red Light and Four Walls albums are my favs. Four Walls is my number one but they have great albums in general.

Since there's no choreo in the 4 Walls MV, there's a legendary live stage for it where they have black and red outfits, definitely worth a watch. Choreo is awesome.

I love f(x)!! 4 walls was revolutionary and hands down one of the best songs in kpop I said what I said
According to one of the composers for View, 4 Walls was originally offered to SHINee for their album Odd, but they wanted to use View instead, Jonghyun having written the lyrics. Similarly, f(x) wanted 4 Walls, so they got dibs. But both songs have composers in common so they do have similar vibes.

Gee this takes me back, ‘electric shock’ was the first Fx song I ever heard! And yeah SM had a phase where they kept their groups in boxes for MV’s so any outside shots we were all like ‘yay! They let them out of the box!’ Haha.

YAASSSSS! Mah girls! SHINee's sister contemporary group has never gotten the love they so well deserve 😭 ETA: I've never heard that View and 4 Walls were switched, but I ain't mad about it. Both groups did absolutely amazing with their songs. 4 Walls, Pink Tape, Red Light - ah. And no slam to RV, but SM did f(X) damned dirty by promoting RV so hard and kicking f(X) to the basement.

Since both SNSD and f(x) did "Chocolate Love" I wished that SHINee and f(x) would have switched songs just to see what they would have been like.
They did switch songs, but only before recording their own versions of View and 4 Walls lol
I recommend that you familiarize yourself with the solo works of amber
she originally came to sm entertainment to become a vocalist ... but she was made a rapper
of course her rap is just incredible, but her vocals are even more incredible
highly recommend: lost at sea, borders, beautiful, closed doors, white noise, three million years, stay calm (there are mv's for all)

yesss! i love f(x), they were so experimental and ahead of its time. unfortunately, koreans really slept on them and sm didn't promoted them properly. but when it comes to their music, i don't have any complaints. a used to think red velvet had the best discography in kpop, but then i discovered f(x) and it changed(but rv's is amazing too). pink tape is by far my favorite kpop album. it's one of the most eccentric, experimental and fun albums i've ever heard. billboard ranked it 1. on the greatest kpop albums of the 2010s and pink tape is known as the ''pink bible'' among f(x) fans. :)

i think a big thing about f(x) that makes them unique is how much they pull off not really having any specific overall concept (like cute, badass, dark, etc) and showcasing how different each member is in every song individually without there being a disconnect in what they're trying to portray.. idk it's just something rare among a lot of groups. plus they put out absolute BANGERS lmao
f(x) is my all time favourite girl group, and the one that actually made me get into kpop properly. i miss them as a group so much, they're so nostalgic to me because i really grew through my teens with them. it's always nice seeing new people discover how amazing they were, thank you for reacting to them!

Lok, I have a request. Can you react to their album? September is the month they debuted and I know I'm late but I'm pretty sure there are a lot of people missing on f(x) right now. f(x) album is very influential and I still can see their influence till now. There are so many essay videos explaining about that, from their concept, aesthetics, music, etc. I just kinda sad that they barely mentioned in todays kpop discussions.
