    I think Sam should do a feature on one of the Midland canals, with one of your viewers. I would be only too happy to volunteer to do a day fishing with him. If you don’t ask, you don’t get. Tight lines.

    Having fished multiple s in different sizes and colors, ruclips.net/user/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 this is by far my favorite. One thing to be aware of is the sided willow blade. One side is silver and the other is the green/orange shown. This is not bad, just unconventional. In terms of fishing, I have found the lure works just fine without a tail like a craw or shad. That addition is up to you. Also, the hook part where you attach the swivel snap or tie the line is a problem on baits these days, since it's able to slide up and down. However this lure seems to be tight enough that that doesn't happen often, and you can solve it by putting a thin slice of medical tube over the hook before attaching the line. Like others have said, it's really magic on a good windy day.

    I'm getting a fox rod n reel tomorrow to do a spot of spinning/ drop shoting & during the cooler months. On venues like this with mixed fish, would you use a wire trace .

    Love watching his videos. Can’t wait to get myself out fishing. Can anyone suggest the best drop shot knot ?? I’ve been looking at lots of different videos… I struggle with my fat fingers and just looking for something that is very quick and simple and easy for me to do. Much appreciated and thank you. 👍🎣😁

    I have the street fighter drop and jig rod and looking at the prism rods so I can rig two different methods instead of keep tying one rig then cutting off to tie say dropshot.
    In ur vid showing jig and dropshot rods how comes the dropshot has a higher casting weight over the jig rod. I thought it would have been other way round.

    I only really use hard crank baits do you find the perch have to be really reved up to take them compared to soft baits. Any tips?

    • @Rose.Of.Hizaki
      @Rose.Of.Hizaki Год назад

      seasons and water temperature play a big roll. In colder months they will be all stacked at the bottom, not really spread out and not willing to chase bait. The main issue is locating where they are then using a method such as dropshot or jigging and twitching or bouncing a soft plastic lure pretty much right across their face extremely slowly to get them to bite.
      you might have luck with a deep diving suspending crank bait though but most will recommend you use that to locate the perch first before switching to dropshot or jigging to tease out bites.
      In the warmer months, perch are spread out all over the different water columns and they will chase spinners and crankbaits although you can still jig and dropshot for them. Ive caught many perch by jigging in the summer months.
      There are lots more really helpful videos on this channel regarding the same topic and they are definitely worth a watch.

      Simple answer, @thepikeangler2022, stop only using hard crank baits.
      I use everything, light spoons of 5g - 7g, light spinners, small crank baits, small poppers, and finally soft lures similar to these #FoxRage #FishSnax shads...

    Do you use braid and a light wire trace for lure fishing and braid with a mono leader for drop shotting buddy

    • @FoxRageTV
      @FoxRageTV  9 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, braid with wire trace for jig fishing and crankbaits. For drop shot fishing use a Flurocarbon leader like the new Strike Point Drop ’n’ Jig in 5 or 6 lbs for light perch fishing.

    What trace do you use on the video?

    • @Rose.Of.Hizaki

      From my observation. it would either be Drennan soft strand trace wire or AFW Surflon Micro Ultra Knottable Wire Trace. You can see he's tied to his jighead in a few of the shots. (I think they are tied on)
      10-15lb wire trace will sort you out although you can possibly go lighter. AFW go as low as 6.6lb but if theres a lot of big zander or pike in your waters. I wouldnt go below 10lb just to be on the safe side.
