I bought a Vera Secure with 4 of these GoControl motions. Out of the box/s 1 never worked, & 2 were flaky. I contacted Linear and never received any contact, so I sent them back. I'd never touch anything made by Linear.. The other issues that you made I agree.

Thank you so much for this video. My unit couldn't scan. When I used that option, it didn't scan the barcode, so I did it manually. It took me a while to make it work. It looks like I was doing it the wrong way but it works fine now. I will add other units so that when it senses people entering my porch it will turn on some lights inside, in addition to sending me an alert. That way I can also look at the cameras pointing at the porch. Great job!!

I just picked up another set of the security suite and the motion detector now has keyslots on the back for hanging.

Can these auto trigger with no motion if the battery is low? I have a couple with Smartthings that go off for no reason (no pets), and the battery level reporting is next to horrid.

you need some command strips to hang this. I think you'll find they solve the attaching problems and do not ruin your walls ;)

Use the 3M picture hanging velcro tape. It can be removed without damaging the wall.

Anyone know how I can solve a problem with a GoControl WADWAZ-1 door sensor? When I put the battery it was supposed that the LED would have to blink but stayed on forever, I try to connect it with my Wink HUB 2 but I can't and does not leave me the option to reset device from the HUB.

I used to have this connected to my smartthings, but I have to repair it as I changed the battery. How do you put this into learn mode.

You could use velcro tape to mount this.

Why not use Velcro instead of double sided tape?

@DIY Smart Home Guy - Hi, in the end of the video, you are saying that the motion is sensor having also a temperature sensor embedded, it that correct? I am also seeing the temperature sensor in the phone app, showing 75 degrees (

Just use velcro strips instead. Easy up, easy down.
