Imagine if this hypothetical rendering was turned into an aftermarket body for an M4 or M8, coupes that have ideal proportions for this sleek style.
This new high-performance driveline is capable of producing twice the power used by the BMW i8. This is part of the drivetrain electrification program highlighted by BMW M's new CEO, Markus Flasch. Vision M Next will spearhead the company's 'Strategy One Next' initiative, with a sales target of up to 25 electrified BMW models by 2025.

if these specs turn out to be true then BMW hasnt lived up to the M1 name. This would be their chance to enter the supercar market and a good one indeed but they would need to make it atleast a 8 cylinder and about 650hp or more.
