Hello, I'm trying to import 2 shapefile files with Urbano. But they appear displaced (both are in WGS84). Any idea how I can resolve it? The reason I use Urbano (and not other specific tools to import shape, is that for some reason in Urbano the file is not heavy)
You have to connect the translator vectors see min 31:30. Try adding both shape files to QGIS or ArcGIS to verify their projections and alignments if not reproject them both to a common projected coordinate system before importing to GH
Hi Carlos, excellent tutorial. I would like to ask you if there is any way to add information in rhino, merge the content to the SHP, and then export it to continue editing in QGIS. Thank you very much!
Shp files cannot be downloaded from OSM. You need to source them from other databases. There is another video on how to import OSM files into Rhino in my channel. All the best!
Nothing happened when I added the SHP file Edit: looks like I had to update Urbano, but even when I did update it, it wasn't working. Had to uninstall Urbano from 'Control Panel' and install the newest version. Leaving this here incase anyone runs into this later on.
but why i uninstall urbano from ' Control Panel' and install the newest version from food4rhino, the problem still have. it display my version is old, but i have install 1.4.2
Thank you Carlos for this tutorial!
Did you ever make a tutorial on how to import shapefiles using OSM?
What can I do if I cannot find that big orange bound in the grasshopper? Is that a Plug-in?
Thanks for the tutorial it's so useful!!
No idea sorry

@@CarlosBartesaghiKoc Cool, now it works perfectly. Thank you very much!
Hi even after the translation vector step they are displaced. They were exported from the same coordinate system in GIS

HI Milagros, I would suggest merging or creating SHP content in QGIS, ArcGIS or any other GIS software and the import into Rhino.
hi thank you for your tutorial, but I got a question. how to deal with the UTM zone if the location is located in two UTM zones?
How do you build the buildings from the shapefiles
Thank you Bro for this tutorial! How to download the Shp file From openstreet map or in another log ?
