At the end of Nymphomaniac Vol 2, most of the theater stayed for the credits and I feel like this song was why.
Just finished watching this movie, loved it. While watching the ending credits I heard this cover & was blown away. How appropriate, especially with that twist at the end. I had no idea it was the main actress singing the song. A women of many talents.

Totally. I wish they'd researched some of the earlier lyrics though, not just copied the Hendrix version. There's a whole extra verse, for example, they could have used.

A very nice surprise at the end of a four hour movie, Nymphomaniac. Charlotte was great as always (Melancholia & Anti Christ) and this cover is absolutely stunning. Serge would be proud, and I'm sure Jane is! Thanks Lars for the great movies and music selections within them!

Beck + Gainsbourg, fucking brilliant. She owned this. You think of it all wrong that's hating. She takes after her mother and Serge. This is the daughter of a legacy, and she kills this song by slowly bring an avalanche down and Beck boosts the song up too. It's climatic.
