He was the responsibility Graystripe never wanted, and leaves Fireheart to train his apprentice for him when he's off with Silverstream. This shows that he values love over his role as a mentor. I agree with this list, but the only thing I don’t understand is why Brindleface was in the honorable mentions. Brindleface was honestly one of my favorite characters, and she was a decently developed character. She was a queen (which I think that queens are greatly under appreciated), who was sweet, gentle, and caring. Only to be brutally murdered by Tigerstar as bait for the dogs who attacked ThunderClan. If that's not enough for you, Brindleface was 1) Sandstorm's mother, 2) the only queen who would take the kittypet Cloudkit (later Cloudtail) in, and 3) gave Firestar one of his nine lives. Am I the only one who thinks Brindleface doesn’t deserve a spot on this list?
I actually cried when soot fur died because his death WAS dramatic.... he failed to climb up the wall when he was injured, and then got caught by a badger and was killed.

The most forgettable cat in Thunderclan ever: Mistlekit, snowkits forgotten sister who was so forgettable that she only had one sentence, were she was unnamed, before the authors literally forgot she existed.
sweet pea the most forgettable cat is Lynxkit. He doesn’t have one mention, even a pronoun mention. The only appearance he makes is in the Warrior Cats family tree in the website. Most people don’t even know his existence.
And Cherrypaw and Chestnutkit too (Ravenpaw and Duspelt's sibilings) They were never mentioned but in the wiki there are, the Erins forgot that they ever existed Edit: *their names disappeared in the void, now are just "two unknown kits"*

Warriors is weird sometimes Like kits open their eyes at 3 seconds of age And apparently cats should have more kittens in the wild but the most I’ve read in the books has been 4 but like my old house cat ( she got hit by a car 😢) had 7 kittens once
One-eye tells Firestar the ceremoney with how to change a cat's name, because Cloudtail wanted Lostface to have a better name. Therefore, One-eye is NOT pointless.

Dappletail actually had an interesting life it just wasn't in the main series so fair i guess. Dappletails father took a new mate right after she was born, ignoring her and her two brothers Tawnyspots and Thrushpelt. Speckletail and White-eye became her foster siblings after their mother starved to death during the great famine. Her father became her mentor and soon after her apprenticeship her mother died and Bluestar was born. For some reason, her brothers and speckletail were made warriors moons before her, while she and one-eye remained apprentices. Somewhere down the line she had a relationship with Runningwind and lost both of her kits, one of which was deaf. Speckletail/Goldenflower also had decent development, though it wasn't in the best light

I agree with everything except Juniperkit and Dandelionkit. Their deaths mixed with the fact that Squirrelflight was never going to have another litter, and her and bramble being leader and deputy, helped form Alderpaw's character of always wanting to make his parents proud, never wanting to let them down, always being nervous of messing up, etc, seeing as he and sparkpaw will be their only kits ever.
Knew Snowbush, Ambermoon and Dewnose would be in here! I really don't know why, I really like Ambermoon, Icecloud and Hazeltail Also, it was actually Lilyheart, not Lilywhisker who was Seedpaw's sister
I actually liked Shrewpaw a lot for some reason as a kid, and he seems to have an oddly large fanbase now. I guess he’s most notable for being the one tom in Squirrelflight’s life to not treat her like trash at one point or another.
Don't forget about Ashfur and Ferncloud's two siblings that never even got a NAME until Su Susanne gave them some later on. The book said Brindleface had kits, and then killed off two, only mentioning it ONCE.

Ye at least Swiftpaw has a point to be a warrior cat. He's a cat to show that warriors protect their clan doing whatever they can. Also, he's the point for Whitewing, who had two important kits: Ivypool and Dovewing, because if Brightheart hadn't gotten injured, Cloudtail would have probably picked somebody else.
i think the reason the original elders existed was to show how weak ThunderClan was getting. -even though there were like four/five apprentices and a bunch of kits?? Bluestar get your stuff together- also, i think it would’ve been more interesting to see Hazeltail and Mousewhisker die as young kits, which could make Berrynose’s character more than ‘he’s the biggest prick to ever have pricked’.

can we just take a minute to acknowledge the fact that even though brackenfur didn't play a hugely prominent role in the series, he was probably one of the most emotionally developed characters in the series. he lost NEARLY EVERYTHING, but did he go killer-revenge cat/mapleshade the second? NO. he stayed a loyal, understanding warrior who instead used the tattered scraps of his emotions to help patch those of others he cared about. and when his mate died, he didn't go insane, but he also didn't go "well, she's dead.... now i can have kits with someone else!". long story short, while the others were throwing themselves pity-parties, he spent his time healing his heart, instead of destroying it further. I am honestly not trying to hate on you, I just want to take a moment to say thank you to the background characters, for teaching us what love truly is.

But seriously, Seedpaw and Lilypaw be like- “Our mom just died, so let’s jump in a river to get a LITERAL STICK even though we can’t swim so we can drown and traumatize our dad even more!!! 😃👍” I think Brackenfur needs a round of applause for not going insane. 👏👏👏
thank you for mentioning the most forgettable Warriors ever. Sorrelstripe, Hollytuft, Fernsong, Leafshade, Larksong, Honeyfur, Dewnose, Ambermoon, and Snowbush. When I was reading A Vision of Shadows, I had to go on Warriors wiki and familiarize myself with them, because I kept forgetting what color they were, and who their littermates and parents were.
Oh no you spoiled Leafkit's, Larkkit's, and Honeykit's warrior names for me! D: I tried to go without spoilers throughout Vision of Shadows, I really did try. I failed. Sandstorm's death didn't hit me as hard because I knew how she died. That makes me sad.
Straight up 5 years late, but I definitely remember Sootfur purely because of his death being insanely brutal. As I can recall, his hind legs were broken during the badger fight and because of that, he couldn't climb out of camp and to safety, ultimately leading to a badger murdering him infront of Firestar. Honestly kinda shocked me, even though obviously I was expecting some deaths. Another honorable mention I would say is Featherkit, the white-furred and blue-eyed deaf kit born before Snowkit but who was mentioned twice and didn't even get a proper death (they literally said they didn't know how he died, just assumed a fox somehow got to him)
Well, without these minor characters, Thunderclan would only consist of three or four cats. They do serve a purpose even if we don't appreciate it. After all, the books are shared from certain cats' perspectives, and perhaps these cats who tell the story aren't good friends with these cats. It is a good list, but I still believe that many of these cats still served a purpose.

Hollytuft, fernsong, and sorrelstripe have a big thing. they repersent the cats who died in the great battle, they're mother (i friggin 4got who) named them after hollyleaf, fern(O nos i 4got) and sorreltail. They were brave cats and they sacerficed themselves for others. Thanks for reading rip

Lilyheart is actually the foster mother of Twigpaw and formerly of Violetpaw and Seedpaw like i said im neutral with Brackenfur and Thornpaw are not pointless due to in the prophecies begin Brackenfur played a very important role and nearly became deputy in Sunset whilst Thornclaw was also played a role in the prophecies begin and was shown as a caring cat, he has now gotten a bit more popular being Blossomfall's mate The original elders did actually play and important role as in forest of secrets as they mentioned when bluestar 'lost' her kits and they were kind of unsure about Firestar's deputy ceremony as it was late Rainwhisker and Sootfur were getting quite important and i dont know why but if feel Sootfur's death ruins Ashfur and Squirrelflight's relationship a bit as the four of them would hang out alot and Rainwhisker was really caring for his siblings saying he wanted to tell Sorreltail about their brother's death and not letting any over cat do it Shrewpaw was kind of important aswell as in midnight when we were introduced to him we learnt he was Squirrelflight's friend as they would always talk to eachother and he gets shipped with her alot, it was also another push to move the clan's out of the forest as he ignored the monster so he could feed the clan with the pheasant as they were all starving this is only my opinion and hopefully i dont sound rude :) like if you agree with any of my points
I think Goldenflower had a bit of a role in the books, she was the mate of Tigerstar and had Tawnypelt and Bramblestar. Also, she toke care of Stormfur and Feathertail for a bit right? Just like Brackenfur, he was underrated, and so was Goldenflower. #GoldenBrackenDefenseSquad
I kind of wished Shrewpaw had more of an important role. I think it was implied that if he had lived, he would have been Squirrelflight’s mate, which I think was really interesting to think about.
0:39 I would say Brakenfur is a very important character, for example: If he became deputy, the whole series would change. If he didn’t become mates with Sorreltail, Cinderheart wouldn’t exist, Cinderpelt wouldn’t die, cause Sorreltail wouldn’t be expecting kits, Briarlight would be bitten by the snake and die, because Honeyfern wouldn’t exist. The WindClan and ShadowClan attack would have succeded, since Brackenpaw wouldn’t have scented them, Bluestar would possibly be killed in that battle, and Tigerstar would become leader. No hate.

i'd have to disagree with some of these mentions. Fernsong does get development, unlike his sisters, and Shrewpaw's death was emotional because it showed that ThunderClan was going through hard times while the forest was being destroyed. Also Runningwind shouldn't have been anywhere in this list because he gave Firestar one of his lives which is kind of major. (plus you called Rainwhisker, Rainflower 5:16 and Lilyheart, Lilywhisker lol)
Dandelionkit and Juniper kit are actually good in my opinion because is makes a lot of opportunities for fans to think about what it must have been like for Squirrelflight and Bramblestar to lose two kits, on top of one of their foster kits dying in the previous series.
Sorrelstripe will never be important, but Hollytuft is great because she was named after Hollyleaf and because Snowtuft. FERNSONG on the other hand SHALL REST IN PIECES because Ivypool is awesome :)
I have to disagree with this as they give the story more depth, and realism. If the clans consisted of the same main characters (who all have similar personalities) it would be flat and boring. Good job though :D

when you say that the characters are pointless because of an uninteresting back story, it's kind of dumb. most cats in a feral clan won't have overly romanticized, tragic backstory, which you should probably get over.
I think what he's trying to say is that each character needs to have some sort of impact or something interesting happen to affect the main plot. And yes, Cryo is right. Just your basic everyday warrior makes them useless and boring. Basically, they are the equal of filler episodes in tv shows. Not needed and just pointless.
I just reread Into the Wild and realized their is a second Ashfur that helped firepaw, greypaw, whitestorm, Darkstripe and whoever was with them he was one of the elders that helped attack Brokenstar

WARNING - long rant. The reason the Erin's add these characters is to populate the Clan. I understand where you're coming from, but if you don't understand why these characters were added, if they were to just die and then be forgotten, then i'm disappointed. The Erin's put a LOT of effort into this, and it's easier to just thing the characters are just names on an allegiance. And that's because they are. They are there, in the story, to serve the Clan, and that's what a true warrior is meant to do. The Erin's can't make EVERY character be special. It's like how they got so slack on naming characters, too. Why name a character 'Foxheart" when it is used as a literal insult? They got slack on that, and it's understandable when they have to satisfy so many fans. Again, they cannot always make 'useful' characters and names that make sense. Sorry for my rant, i hope you're doing well and good job on the video.
Kaity Eilleen there are too many cats in ThunderClan right now so they don’t need cats to be filler and it’s easier for their younger audience to follow along and imagine each character when it’s not jumbled up and disorganized. I love the series, a lot of the characters are amazing, but making your own universe is no excuse to not giving some cats some page time when there are over 60 books
Personally, I don't think ANY cat's are useless. They all bring backround to the story. Imagine Warriors without the other bystaning cat's. It wouldn't be as pleasing to read, as reader's sometimes need a break from the main story. Plus, it would seem very solitary. They bring point into the story, a bland story with 5 main character's and the rest scrapped, again, is solitary. This is just my opinion, I just think that all cat's have a purpose in all the series. Thanks for reading! :D
Yes, readers need a break once in a while, but the characters mentioned in this video ARE useless (most of them anyway). They have no personality, no events happening to them, so how is that fun for the reader? If they weren't mentioned in the books again, then you probably would forget about them. If you forgot about a character even if it's been mentioned before, that usually means they have literally no point. I do respect your opinion, but I am simply sharing mine.

Would leafpool and crowfeather find Skyclan and become Skyclan warriors? (I mean I really hope that it would happen because Skyclan is the best clan besides for Thunderclan! Nothing beats Thunderclan XD) and if they did find Skyclan would leafpool be medicine cat again? Would Starclan let Jayfeather be a warrior? sweet pea the most forgettable cat is Lynxkit. He doesn’t have one mention, even a pronoun mention. The only appearance he makes is in the Warrior Cats family tree in the website. Most people don’t even know his existence.

Dappletail actually had an interesting life it just wasn't in the main series so fair i guess. Dappletails father took a new mate right after she was born, ignoring her and her two brothers Tawnyspots and Thrushpelt. Speckletail and White-eye became her foster siblings after their mother starved to death during the great famine. Her father became her mentor and soon after her apprenticeship her mother died and Bluestar was born. For some reason, her brothers and speckletail were made warriors moons before her, while she and one-eye remained apprentices. Somewhere down the line she had a relationship with Runningwind and lost both of her kits, one of which was deaf. Speckletail/Goldenflower also had decent development, though it wasn't in the best light

I agree with everything except Juniperkit and Dandelionkit. Their deaths mixed with the fact that Squirrelflight was never going to have another litter, and her and bramble being leader and deputy, helped form Alderpaw's character of always wanting to make his parents proud, never wanting to let them down, always being nervous of messing up, etc, seeing as he and sparkpaw will be their only kits ever.

What about Brackenfur? He wasn’t pointless, but I think he and thornclaw deserved some more love. I mean their sisters Brightheart and Cinderpelt were major characters and they just got kinda pushed aside. Brackenfur did get a mate and Thornclaw got a role as the patrol guy, but that’s it. In comparison to Brightheart and Cinderpelt is almost nothing.

can we just take a minute to acknowledge the fact that even though brackenfur didn't play a hugely prominent role in the series, he was probably one of the most emotionally developed characters in the series. he lost NEARLY EVERYTHING, but did he go killer-revenge cat/mapleshade the second? NO. he stayed a loyal, understanding warrior who instead used the tattered scraps of his emotions to help patch those of others he cared about. and when his mate died, he didn't go insane, but he also didn't go "well, she's dead.... now i can have kits with someone else!". long story short, while the others were throwing themselves pity-parties, he spent his time healing his heart, instead of destroying it further. I am honestly not trying to hate on you, I just want to take a moment to say thank you to the background characters, for teaching us what love truly is.

Not exactly fair, since only two books are out
Straight up 5 years late, but I definitely remember Sootfur purely because of his death being insanely brutal. As I can recall, his hind legs were broken during the badger fight and because of that, he couldn't climb out of camp and to safety, ultimately leading to a badger murdering him infront of Firestar. Honestly kinda shocked me, even though obviously I was expecting some deaths.
Another honorable mention I would say is Featherkit, the white-furred and blue-eyed deaf kit born before Snowkit but who was mentioned twice and didn't even get a proper death (they literally said they didn't know how he died, just assumed a fox somehow got to him)
Well, without these minor characters, Thunderclan would only consist of three or four cats. They do serve a purpose even if we don't appreciate it. After all, the books are shared from certain cats' perspectives, and perhaps these cats who tell the story aren't good friends with these cats. It is a good list, but I still believe that many of these cats still served a purpose.

Brackenfur and Thornpaw are not pointless due to in the prophecies begin Brackenfur played a very important role and nearly became deputy in Sunset whilst Thornclaw was also played a role in the prophecies begin and was shown as a caring cat, he has now gotten a bit more popular being Blossomfall's mate
The original elders did actually play and important role as in forest of secrets as they mentioned when bluestar 'lost' her kits and they were kind of unsure about Firestar's deputy ceremony as it was late
Rainwhisker and Sootfur were getting quite important and i dont know why but if feel Sootfur's death ruins Ashfur and Squirrelflight's relationship a bit as the four of them would hang out alot and Rainwhisker was really caring for his siblings saying he wanted to tell Sorreltail about their brother's death and not letting any over cat do it
Shrewpaw was kind of important aswell as in midnight when we were introduced to him we learnt he was Squirrelflight's friend as they would always talk to eachother and he gets shipped with her alot, it was also another push to move the clan's out of the forest as he ignored the monster so he could feed the clan with the pheasant as they were all starving

I think Goldenflower had a bit of a role in the books, she was the mate of Tigerstar and had Tawnypelt and Bramblestar. Also, she toke care of Stormfur and Feathertail for a bit right? Just like Brackenfur, he was underrated, and so was Goldenflower.

If he didn’t become mates with Sorreltail, Cinderheart wouldn’t exist, Cinderpelt wouldn’t die, cause Sorreltail wouldn’t be expecting kits, Briarlight would be bitten by the snake and die, because Honeyfern wouldn’t exist. The WindClan and ShadowClan attack would have succeded, since Brackenpaw wouldn’t have scented them, Bluestar would possibly be killed in that battle, and Tigerstar would become leader.

i'd have to disagree with some of these mentions. Fernsong does get development, unlike his sisters, and Shrewpaw's death was emotional because it showed that ThunderClan was going through hard times while the forest was being destroyed. Also Runningwind shouldn't have been anywhere in this list because he gave Firestar one of his lives which is kind of major.

I have to disagree with this as they give the story more depth, and realism. If the clans consisted of the same main characters (who all have similar personalities) it would be flat and boring. Good job though :D
I don't have a problem with the inclusion of these characters. I just wish they were more developed.

when you say that the characters are pointless because of an uninteresting back story, it's kind of dumb. most cats in a feral clan won't have overly romanticized, tragic backstory, which you should probably get over.

I think what he's trying to say is that each character needs to have some sort of impact or something interesting happen to affect the main plot. And yes, Cryo is right. Just your basic everyday warrior makes them useless and boring. Basically, they are the equal of filler episodes in tv shows. Not needed and just pointless.

I just reread Into the Wild and realized their is a second Ashfur that helped firepaw, greypaw, whitestorm, Darkstripe and whoever was with them he was one of the elders that helped attack Brokenstar

WARNING - long rant.
The reason the Erin's add these characters is to populate the Clan. I understand where you're coming from, but if you don't understand why these characters were added, if they were to just die and then be forgotten, then i'm disappointed. The Erin's put a LOT of effort into this, and it's easier to just thing the characters are just names on an allegiance. And that's because they are. They are there, in the story, to serve the Clan, and that's what a true warrior is meant to do. The Erin's can't make EVERY character be special. It's like how they got so slack on naming characters, too. Why name a character 'Foxheart" when it is used as a literal insult? They got slack on that, and it's understandable when they have to satisfy so many fans. Again, they cannot always make 'useful' characters and names that make sense. Sorry for my rant, i hope you're doing well and good job on the video.
Kaity Eilleen there are too many cats in ThunderClan right now so they don’t need cats to be filler and it’s easier for their younger audience to follow along and imagine each character when it’s not jumbled up and disorganized. I love the series, a lot of the characters are amazing, but making your own universe is no excuse to not giving some cats some page time when there are over 60 books

Personally, I don't think ANY cat's are useless. They all bring backround to the story. Imagine Warriors without the other bystaning cat's. It wouldn't be as pleasing to read, as reader's sometimes need a break from the main story. Plus, it would seem very solitary. They bring point into the story, a bland story with 5 main character's and the rest scrapped, again, is solitary. This is just my opinion, I just think that all cat's have a purpose in all the series. Thanks for reading! :D
Yes, readers need a break once in a while, but the characters mentioned in this video ARE useless (most of them anyway). They have no personality, no events happening to them, so how is that fun for the reader?
If they weren't mentioned in the books again, then you probably would forget about them. If you forgot about a character even if it's been mentioned before, that usually means they have literally no point. I do respect your opinion, but I am simply sharing mine.

Literally everyone besides the leaders, medicine cats, in some cases deputies, and a select few warriors (Tawnypelt, her kits, and all the cats who went on the journey were somewhat memorable, but I can't name anyone besides them)
That probably wouldn't work because most of the forgettable ones come from outside the main series.

U should do a theory about what would have have happened if Leafpool had runaway with Crowfeather (besides for that one night) :/ like would jaykit/Jayfeather be blind? Would leafpool and crowfeather find Skyclan and become Skyclan warriors? (I mean I really hope that it would happen because Skyclan is the best clan besides for Thunderclan! Nothing beats Thunderclan XD) and if they did find Skyclan would leafpool be medicine cat again? Would Starclan let Jayfeather be a warrior? Also on a totally different note do u think when Jayfeather dies will he be reborn? I just don't think its fair that he didn't get to live his dream of becoming a warrior...
