For instance, Grey DeLisle took over VA for Martin Prince after Russi Taylor passed away, rather than retiring the character. Edit: I don't know if Hutz or McClure are deceased in the Simpsons universe but they are only seen in background (if at all) and they use other characters, like Gil the lawyer.

Have you ever watched Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law? That's essentially very similar to a Lionel Hutz premisea and I think you may enjoy it! :) (however I only recommend the first season, I didn't like the second as much.)

And only after his death do we find out that he has given 200 or 300 bucks to a homeless person. He's done this on a couple of occasions. How wonderful he was and with such a amazing sense of humor! And I was very literally no reason why the Phil Hartman show never got made......... Hollywood is ran by a whole bunch of jackasses. And that is the only reason why it wasn't made much earlier and like 1994 or 1993
