    2024 Mazda CX-90 versus the OLD CX-9. This is a great comparison to see what the exact difference are.

    Cx9 is known to be reliable... Cx90 if reliable is great replacement, but once the warranty is up, repairs will be very expensive. The timing chain is in back of engine and to replace or repair it, you'll have to lift engine out. Other repairs may require engine lifting as well. It's going to be some very expensive future repairs. Hopefully it's reliable and doesn't require this much.

      Wow. Hopefully they will be very reliable and not need to do that maintenance

    This isn't the latest release of the CX9. Notice old style infotainment screen. Reviewer very bias to the CX90. The CX9 IMHO is the better handling car, not everyone needs "Honda Pilot" space in a midsize car.

      Nope, not biased, just typically like what is new. Sorry for that.

    Bought CX9 because cup holders are in right place. CX90 cup holders location is awkward. Reaching over controls and shift knob while driving is something I just did not want to have to think about every time I reached for a cup of coffee or a sip of iced tea in my Stanley. LOVE the zoom gal performance.

      Yes at 76, I have had a lot of car choices. Driving 10 to 12 hrs in Texas to see my family, creature comforts are key. Two vehicles I miss: 1979 Jeep PU Truck with standard transmission and my 2002 Honda CRV with standard transmission.@@VagabondBuilds

    Although the Tukami pack for the CX-90 is beautiful, I far prefer the older CX-9 centre console arrangement. The cup placement for the new CX-90 is just strange, the console is just too big with a lot of wasted space.

    That huge differential tunnel on the second row of the cx90 is a huge let down. I wonder if it is due to the new transmission being too long with so many gears

    My CX9 has usb ports in the 3rd row... it's a proven driver while the cx90 straight 6 has no history. The cx90 I drove didn't add up to a sale - not to mention the 4" would exclude it from the garage pretty much

    I prefer the back of the cx-9. The Cx90 looks too bulbous with a hint of BMW

      Well Mazda is working their way up to become a luxury like BMW which it’s why they designed similar to a BMW

      @@Voluwest That is a good thing imo. What do you think?

    • @Voluwest
      @Voluwest Год назад

      @@VagabondBuilds I think it is incredible that Mazda is stepping up onto a luxury level. I didn’t think Mazda was going to do that, but they can because they’re a smaller brand. So, it wouldn’t make no sense for them to launch a luxury division like Hyundai did with Genesis and how Toyota did with Lexus because Hyundai and Toyota had much money. Mazda tried to launch a luxury division 30 years ago which it didn’t happen due to they didn’t have a lot of money to do that. So, it would make sense for Mazda to move upscale by itself instead of them launching a luxury division which it seems to be working for them because they found a middle ground as far as Mazda became a premium brand today than 30 years ago.
