50 more minutes and this episode can turn into a full length movie. It has everything, Drama, Tention, Love, Sorrow, Happyness, regret, hate, disappointment, failure and success.
I love how Dede is so kind and generous even after everything she and Dave went through it's so heart-warming to see them light up and bring back the lively spirit of the lodge from the memories. I really hope they're still doing well after Gordon's visit.
My heart literally broke💔 when Gordon started asking him if he ever took time out to mourn the loss of his son and the father said No😟 and he talked to no one. Men should really find time to address their emotions, so sad for him cos they really seem like a lovely family 😢😢
Love the way the wife acknowledges the years of work her husband put in to the business. Building that beauty from the ground up, absolutely impressive. Man has a good woman by his side. So sad about their son, its good to know that even though they coped in different ways, they did not blame each other for anything. Tragedy happens unfortunately. God bless their family.
I am so happy they are still open and have good reviews. These people deserve all the best and the place is absolutely gorgeous. I'd love to stay there if I am ever in Idaho. LOVE IT!
This is one of the episodes where the owners are wonderful people who fell on hard times and we truly hope Gordon helps them recover and flourish again
Losing a child is devastating. I would've struggled the same way. I am so happy for them to have gotten back on track after so many years astray. I hope their new life helps healing that wound in their hearts.
I swear, I go by the ethos of Gordon Ramsay to be as honest and blunt as possible. People don't like it but at least they know where they stand with things. Wish more people were like him.
they are such a beautiful family, you can just tell they love each other and want to make things work. especially loved dede, what a beautiful and peaceful human beaing she seems to be. this was a great episode. and i'm so happy that after doing some research, i found out that they are still running the hotel and are doing great.
aww i liked Zach. he was totally honest he doesn't want to be there, and he wasn't skilled, and he tried to defend his parents even if he was misguided and didn't understand Gordon lol
I can understand the pain when they lost their 10 years old son. It was the same in our family, we lost a 7-year-old, brother to cancer in 2013, Since then I remember the horror we had to go through, my mother could not overcome the pain and relinquished herself to alcohol and died in 2015 (November). My father would carry his photo on his chest and walk crying day and night until he died in 2016 (January). I remember ever since my brother died until my parents, we never had a good meal together. The kitchen was just like any other room in the home. But now, Since it's been many years, we live in their memories.❤ It's heartbreaking to know their story too. ❤
Chef Gordon you're a mean kind hearted man! Please keep it up! I hope someday that me and my family will have a chance to meet you and dine in one of your restaurants. .
Gina looks like a lady from the village selling charms & herbs ! But hands down with all the negativities around still it's a beautiful lodge with breathtaking views. I would love to stay there some day.
Wait, why am I crying watching this eps? What a gorgeous hotel for real! Gordon is extremely gentle here. He even has the key to open my heart now hahaha and maybe people on earth.
Owners checked out, son-manager has no idea what he’s supposed to do, the kitchen works as separate people, and the servers are there for their paycheck… possibly the absolutely worst crew on any hotel or kitchen nightmare
Great reviews on Google however there were 2 negative feedback well not everyone is gonna like u that's life ! But glad to see that this beautiful place is still open & followed Gordon's words.
Recent reviews about the lodge are mixed with alot complaints about it being too expensive, alot of stuff needing maintenance and the closest people get to customer service is via texting its a great place for a stop over or fishing trips worst place for long stay, honeymoon or holiday
It's always the money and pompous property owners charging too much for what they offer. I've had some of the loveliest times in cheap student motels and British lodges. Basically paying for a bunk to sleep in with the friends nearby in another bunk. With the high rate of visitors, the rooms were kept near pristine between visits. The other rooms of the facility were free to use and breakfast was included. This is for minimal cost. Sure they have potential, but the prices I usually see in Hotel Hell are ghastly when I've gotten better for 30€ a night or less.
I've just checked the booking and they've got 8.2 which is quite good. Also the prices don't seem to be too expensive. 410$ for 2 nights in a room for 4. 100$ per person for 2 nights does not seem too much.
31:20 Gordon talks about business during they watch family slides within watching the family once they had been, when they built up the place. Gordon asks: “what’s on your mind when you see these pictures…?” Gordon really does not understand it’s not all about business?! These pictures show the son they lost when he was 10. It must be understood how hard it is to keep on running a business without a sense of personal input when your heart is broken.
I wonder if behind the scenes the hotel staff are given certain lines to spice up the episode and create drama, because I could feel like that when Zack cursed he was spinning internally he had a hard time cursing 🤣😂
I was wondering about it too bcs he looks really anxious and awkward while talking back to gordon. And before that scene, he doesn't really show that kind of attitude so when he talks back to gordon, for me is looks like out of character of him. So I'm wondering too if the crew told him to acted like that bcs there's not enough drama or what
Gordon: Get me some wildlife for the intro! Team: It`s snowing and where the hell are we going to get some pics of some deer over here?!? Gordon: I don`t f`n care just do it you f`n donuts!!!
The chef lady didn't want to work as a team she didn't even want to try and it costs here doing same mistake again again again why she is good lessoner she is so stubborn the family look so happy wow happy ending 💕💕

I love this show but I feel like they picked on the dad a lot. He didn't ask for anything unreasonable, he asked the chef to cost compare and she chose to cut corners. I mean really.
Well i would live him become my therapist. I would paid more and flight far only he become my therapist. He very good at advice and give a good oppinions, very valid One.
These people are genuinely such good people. The father is a hard worker, he even built the entire lodge by himself, that's freaking incredible.
like, with his hands ?
Gordan went from the best Master Chef to the best Therapist on earth
30:03 And marriage counseling 🤣

He has so many professions.... What a legend....
How hard can it be to spell his name, its right there in the title

It's so hard for parents to lose a child. I cried just looking at this. I wish them all the best
especially when he's just 10
Like in lord of the ring king theodon said sometging like "no parents shall witness the death of their child" and then cried ...
That hits hard. That feeling will always be with them 😢. But I hope they try to cope with it

“i dont like that you swear”
1 min later…
*swears*
That guy looked like the most lost in this epi, even more than the chef.
This whole episode hit like a depression train… it hurt my soul to see them struggling so much
You know the pain is real when you make euphrmisms like "the tragedy" to describe it
Gina was the main problem here and I'm glad she's out, so I hope Zach will be stronger and learn, and this place can bounce back.
A rare case in Hotel Hell where the actual chef deserved a scolding.
Lmao, telling Gordon to not use an f bomb... who is this guy? Have you even met Ramsey?😂
I think him being called an Englishman was worse lol (he's Scottish)
That man right there...... Just like a shattered glass that no one see nor hear it... It's really just hurting me to hear it and now I'm sad
Just got home from work and I am here watching this show already. I don't regret it.🤣
Same here.
Same. Just now. Hahaha
Dave is quite the specimen, built like a Tow truck and solid and calm like a Oak...

Ramsey is sooooooo soooo soooo amazing

I love that Gordon is a straight up SAVAGE. But he is good at what he does though. That makes him who he is.💯%👍
This is probably the saddest one
This is one of few episodes that the owners really deserve help

That view is marvelous!
I think everyone in town just came in to meet Gordon Ramsey.
That's the point as they will come back for the better service.
As anyone would
What a beautiful family. I wish them the best
This poor family, God bless them
Omg its too hard to watch those memories 😭
I must say I am very glad that Gordon doing this. Really. Helping hotel get better
This family is actually sweet, their competition is the owner of Hotel Chester.
i've searching this comment
Wow ..the son is seriously weird..
7:47 Gordon: The view is breathtaking
Keanu: YOU'RE BREATHTAKING
Dave: Times help heal you but there's a hole in your heart that never heals.
16:32 probably the most awkward encounter in the whole series haha
The place is still open and thriving.

The chef is so full of excuses lol

Nice turnaround for this family who deserve there problem to be opened up and turned around for the good nice one G-R

The most logical owners I have seen on this show.
Weldone chef Gordon, much love 💕💖😍

15:10 This is the first episode I have seen where Gordon goes into the kitchen not wearing his chef jacket.
This is Hotel Hell.. he doesn't wear it usually.
Was it just me who felt Gordon was like Mary Poppins in this episode?
Why Gordon has so many amazing and entertaining shows. Maybe it's because he faces so many blokes full of stupid ideas all the time😂
Someone will surely update us on the hotels where about later🙂 I will wait here.

they need to add a bass pro shop to the property.

Still disgusting, isn't it?
True! Especially in a thatched house. Have to sweep multiple times a day when it's windy.
Welcome to another episode of therapist Ramsey, today he’s dealing with a family
Subscriber here from ph. love watching gordon change lives salute 🙌🏼
Normally in this series I side with the chef cuz of all the stress they go through, but that lady Gina sucked.
The old pillow cases match Ramsey's hair and clothes
Zack be like "u don't know shit"
Gordon be like "if u gonna talk later let's do it,someone might die later"
What a nice family, god bless u! ♥️♥️♥️
GORDON RAMSAY …… WHAT A GUY ❤
I love this show but I feel like they picked on the dad a lot. He didn't ask for anything unreasonable, he asked the chef to cost compare and she chose to cut corners. I mean really.

I feel bad for them 😢. Lost kid.
Gordon did not solve the kitchen mess. This is gonna go back to normal. He could not talk some sense to that head chef
