Steven Page is a Canadian singer and songwriter known for songs like "Brian Wilson," "The Old Apartment," "It's All Been Done," "Jane" and many others he recorded with Barenaked Ladies, the band he co-founded in 1988. A solo artist since 2009, he has gone on to release four solo albums as well as two with the Art of Time Ensemble, toured extensively both as a singer and as a speaker focusing on mental health. "Here's What It Takes," a new musical written with playwright Daniel MacIvor is scheduled to have its World Premiere at this year's Stratford Festival but we'll see what happens with that now... His brand new single, "Isolation," inspired by life in the COVID-19 lockdown, is streaming everywhere now.
God Bless Steven Page
If you ever hear this live you will never be the same. Out of this world
My all time number 1 favorite male voice on this planet.
It's one of the great ones.
He’s the best.
How does this not have HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS more views?! I think he’s gotten better with age. WOW!!! 👏👏👏👏👏
Agreed!
What a voice. It gives me chills every time.
An absolute class act and so underrated, been following him since early days of BNL , he's a one a one off genius.!
Natas bless. Simple chords and amazing voice!
I saw BNL live with Mr Page 4 times, and saw him solo twice. I am convinced that he is the Bob Dylan of GenX. This song conveys perfectly the pressure on those of us from our generation that were "gifted". Our parents thought that being gifted was a general trait, like being tall, or athletic. Well, you are smart, so obviously you will succeed, as if it were that easy. This song was the ONLY song, ever, that addressed the crushing pressure on us back then.
while i've had the priviledge to see BNL live, it was unfortunately after Steven had left the band. It was a great show, but obviously missing something. Great rendition of this song.
Bnl is boring w out steve. But love them all. Steves a one in a billion voice.
