Yes, the title of this video are the left-over interestitial bits of Smash Mouth's All Star that have not been part of Vlogbrothers titles over the last five months...and I guess that means WE'RE DONE?!?!? With whatever the heck we were doing!?!?
Anyway, Pizzamas begins next week!
Note: I made this video yesterday when there was not quite so much NEWS in the world, but honestly I don't know if I would have done anything different. I think it's very early to have many thoughts other than, like, compassion is not forgiveness...it is not something you do for someone else, but something that helps me understand the world better. And when I say I don't want Donald Trump to suffer, that includes with illness, but it also includes me not wanting him to suffer from the way he is terrified any loss of power, or that he mistakes cruelty for toughness, or that he seems to believe that illness is a character flaw.
Donald Trump's suffering has caused suffering in the lives of millions of people, and not wanting him to be ill does not have any affect on whether someone is furious and sad and frustrated by the suffering his suffering has wrought.
As for what his diagnosis means, I don't know. I am a little sick of the amount of uncertainty this year has brought, but I also don't have much choice in the matter, and I shouldn't pretend to know things when I don't know them.

Man... I watch because of the community. People actually care when it’s those who are invested and not just clicking a video cause it is click bait. In 2017 I watched all vlogbrothers videos, became a nerd fighter, got pizzamas gear, and joined a community that has effected my life in ways you won’t even be able to understand Hank and John. Thank you. Thank you for your goal of community. Thank you for inviting, but not demanding attention. It makes me feel loved. 🥰
I'm afraid I'm going to come off pedantic here and I apologize ahead of time. I really like the idea of joining a community that has "effected" my life. All communities have the potential to effect your life and affect your life for good and for ill. I don't know that I could say (nor for certain anyway) that this community has affected my life, but the example Hank and John set by donating various proceeds to charity, the clear love they have for each other, the unequivocal joy they feel for each other's successes, their commitment to building a community that holds people up, etc. etc. has effected my life. Y'all encourage and enable better behaviors in myself. Thanks for effecting my life.

I love that I had to read the title several times and not once, could I glean any sense from it. Yes! You put words to my feeling exactly! In many ways it feels a bit as if time has stagnated, but these titles and this project have taken a definite time to get through, and I feel that, maybe more than other measures of time in this weird year of 2020.
I've been here since accio deathly hallows when my friends and I were starting our harry potter club in 8th grade.
My first Nerdfigher experience was the Paper Towns tour at the Seattle Public Library, where Molly Lewis inspired me to learn ukulele. (now i write songs with my preschool class)
I was given the gracious opportunity to be on stage with you for trivia at Nerdcon Nerdfighteria a few years back ( "who's BALTO???")
I used to be so imbedded in the community that I watched every single video that Complexly produced from Cereal Time to Pemberly digital. Sparksflyup and Paige Railstone were my corner stone 'i'm in deep' references.
Now I have a full time job and full time life and while I'm subscribed to all the Complexly media, I only watch videos that I think might interest me in the moment.
I however have and will continue to, watch(ed) every single vlogbrothers video.

I'm a 25-year-old dude with a lot of responsibilities, and I've been watching vlogbrothers since John's "Looking for Alaska at My High School" video 10 years ago. I don't think I've missed a video for the past 4 or 5 years. They're the perfect size for a compact little snippet of interesting insights, funny stories, and intriguing projects you guys are always working on.
I don't care what you title your videos. In fact, I think I've enjoyed these past months of content more than ever before.
Keep up the good work!
When scrolling through RUclips recommendations or subscriptions, I'll think about how Hank and John made an intentional choice that 4 minutes was the perfect time for this kind of video. So many videos on the platform now are 15 or 20 minutes and could probably have been heavily edited to be much much less

Honestly one of the best things about this community, is that it feels like it has grown personally. Like, each of its creators and subscribers has learned and grown over the years. Feels like family.
From the bottom of my heart I want to thank you. I am crawling my way out of a heavy and deep depression. This is something I have been doing for about a year. One of the milestones was the third videos with all star title, that was when I realized this was a thing and felt real, joyous joy. That made it clear to me that joy wasn`t a thing of the past. You brought back joy, and for that I love you. After the bringing back the joy, you made me curious and interested in what the next title would be. Curiousity and interest really hurts that lousy depression, so you really helped me there too. I choose to assign this tremendous value.
Hank and John, you don`t know me, but you have really helped me in the six years my life was black and grey. Your videos gave me hope. Your videos taught me about Esther day. The first time I celebrated Esther day was two years ago, three weeks before my mother died. The last long conversation I had with my mother was the time I called to say "I love you". Remembering that conversation was one of the main things who started the process of getting me out of the depression.
Congratulations on finishing this project and thank you.

About 5 or 6 videos into this series, it dawned on me what you were doing. At that moment, I wondered how far you’d take it. Just like that I was hooked. My engagement went way up as I anxiously awaited each new video to see whether you’d given up yet, or what creative way you’d make use of another lyric.
While I celebrate the conclusion with you, I also sense a bit of loss. The loss of the familiar, and the loss of the anticipation. Regardless, I look forward to what pizzamas brings us, and the what this channel evolves to next.
I'd think "creator had a stroke" before smash mouth with this title.
I already knew the video titles weren't gonna make any difference in views. I feel like the grand majority of subscribers here love John and Hank wholeheartedly, so no matter what the videos are we're always gonna watch them. And I think that's awesome.
I love how it just happened to time out with the last video before pizzamas. Like you legit couldn't have planned that any better, especially because it wasn't intentional.

I always make it a point that whenever I see a new Vlogbrothers video that I instantly watch it. Doesn't matter what ever else is on my feed, I need to watch a Vlogbrothers video when it comes out. I love what this community has created and I love supporting it and that's not going to change even if you used Nickelback lyrics for video titles.

I actually subscribed during the Smash Mouth experiment. I really like the format of this channel, where you have a weekly check-in on whatever you're thinking about or whatever you're doing. It's inspired me to try and figure out how to incorporate that into my own workflow. I have found that I get new insight and strategy out of myself if I just take the time to check-in with myself. Out loud. To be able to get it out of my head, and figure out what's going on. What's good and what's not so good, and what I can do moving forward. I want to start a vlog series like this, but I don't have a good camera yet, and I'm scared. So maybe in the future, I'll get there.

Welcome to our little community. I never really tried to vlog, but from what I got from this and other channels:
-good Audio is more important than Video
- just start. You'll be bad in the beginning, but you'll learn way faster than if you just think about it (that's actually true for most things)
Talking things through to a camera can be so helpful. It's an unbiased and patient listener.
I have a hundred video files that I'll never watch, let alone share, where I contemplated, vented, cried, debated with myself, and celebrated, sitting on my floor and holding my phone up in front of me. Doing that helped me figure out so much, gave me comfort.
They say the best way to learn is to teach. I learnt about myself by explaining myself to a phone camera.
I’m obsessed that you made this the title. Beautiful. This project is the art that I have felt most connected to ever. Because of it I played All Star on repeat for 2 and 1/2 hours at work and my coworkers hated me. But it’s changed my life. So.

I barely ever look at the titles. I see a video pop up from vlog brothers or one with Hank or John's face and I think to myself, here is another beautiful slice of genuine humanity to add to my day. I LOVE PIZZAMAS!! I remember my first Pizzamas, I watched the videos like the 12 days of Christmas song, so every day I would watch the most recent video, then progressively go backwards to the first one (I had most of the first Pizzamas video basically memorized by the end of the week lol, and still have the intro line of it ingrained into my brain).
I am thankful for this silly project that has finally been acknowledged, and thankful for this community! And I look forward to what comes next on this channel and in all your other projects. But right now... ESPECIALLY for Pizzamas *insert pizza christmas tree party emojis here*
Hank it makes sense that there is no drop, it's because we and I think I can speak for a lot of us here really like you and John. You guys are some of my favorite creators literally when your videos come up on my feed I get a little excited and have get a heartwarming feeling. That has been really nice throughout having hard job and not seeing my family much encase of the pandemic, so personally I just want to say thank you. :)

the irony is that it's these videos that brought me back to vlogbrothers.
I started watching this channel in 2011, and in 2014/15ish, my attention got pulled away from youtube to podcasts instead.
I've been listening to the anthropocene reviewed for years, and when I downloaded tiktok, I re-met Hank as the "science-man" (through "don't eat grass").
A few months ago, some of your All-star titled videos made it onto my recommendeds.
I immediately was like, oh God what have these guys been up to now?
and since then I've listened to most of dear Hank and john, and come back to the channel multiple times
I come back to this video every now and then. I found vlogbrothers around 8 years ago. Far from a 'founding' nerdfighter, but long enough to feel a place here, and to know I'll watch vlogbrothers until Hank and John decide they're done. I love our little corner of the internet, and hope it stays how it is forever.

Five months ago I saw a video on my youtube home page titled “hey now.” I clicked on it and found my new favorite youtube channel :) I haven’t been here long but I’m glad I can say I’ve been here for this whole “pointless” project!!

I thought I was having a stroke when I read the title
I just had a stroke reading this and so did you; dont lie
I saw this title coming home drunk ( i live in australia) and I thought I was wwayyyyyy hammered then I am 😂😂
I'm a software developer, so I'm used to reading weird, complex things and trying to make sense of them.
On the third read through I remembered who was doing this, and stopped trying to assign meaning to it.
IF ONLY I COULD DO THAT WITH CODE. (More than once I have wondered whether compilers were insane.)
I dunno, I still feel like the title is trying to say something important and enlightening about life, even though it's very obviously not. Maybe it's just the way I read the words and there's also a lot of ands in the title, which tends to sound poetic and the but at the end feels quite important for it to sound like it's something very enlightening, although in reality it is literally nothing but a string of leftover words that mainly consists of conjunctions and articles.

I started watching in 2010 while I was in undergrad and I just realized I've been watching for a decade! Wow, I've been part of this amazing, connected, engaged community for A DECADE! Thank you, Nerdfighteria.
Genuinely one of the best videos I've seen today. And also, I want to say that people come into and out of communities a lot. One of the things I love about Nerdfightaria is that it feels like home, and to me that means that I can leave it and know it would be fine without me, but also that I can come back to it and feel welcome. I'm so glad my librarian shared your videos with me. I AM SO EXCITED FOR PIZZAMAS!!

For real, the energy here is so good because the point of your content is about ACCEPTING and UNDERSTANDING people who are different from you--and on learning and encouraging knowledge. There's no shame for not-knowing something either, as long as you learn it moving forward. It's beautiful and perfect. I love it!
