Well even in 90s many ppl used to say 70s and early 80s was so blissful but now everything spoiled. Thing is we are never happy with the present coz as the saying goes GRASS LOOKS GREENER ON THE OTHER SIDE. Now our future generation will also say 2010 to 2025 was so good but now everything spoiled.

Wow wow wow... what a video..... it just polished my wonderful memories of Bangalore ever since my first visit in 1984.... I`m from Kerala and I studied in Bangalore during 1993-96 and later got my very first job on Magrath Road.. I was pretty much there until early 2001, then I moved to overseas countries.. During my times in Bangalore; I used to roam around every corners of Bangalore city on my Yamaha RX 100 and Maruty 800 and also neighbouring places like, Tumkur, Mysore, Kolar, Hosur, Nandi Hills etc etc.. It is from Bangalore city I first travelled to Bombay and back on board train. Been to my home town in Kerala from Bangalore on bike as well as car many times.. both via TN and also via Mysore. I could definitely go on and on for hours, days even months... that much I love Bangalore.. My last visit to Bangalore was in January 2009 when I flew from London with the defunct Kingfisher airlines.. and then return. Although I had just five hours transit; I managed to catch a taxi to visit Infant Jesus church in Vivek Nagar which was one of my regular visiting churches before.. I was hoping that I might be seen riding my RX 100 somewhere on this video.. hahaha I wish... I can`t wait to explore Bangalore again.. Thanks a lot for positing this video..!!

1995 BLR vs 2109 BLR Back in the 90s when i was school going kid, i had a head full of thick hair just like how 1995 BLR was a city full of trees. over the next 25-30 yrs, hair line started receding bit by bit just like how trees were getting cut road by road. Now @ 40, i am half bald and so is BLR, half the trees are gone. Some fell off due to weather, some cut to widen roads, construct metro etc etc. Thank God they cancelled that monstrosity of a project, that steel bride in CBD and all that. By 2030, i will become completely bald and 2030 BLR will loose all its greenery.

CBD at the center of City, then surrounding area are the burbs, i.e. suburban areas which have individual homes, no apartment concept, max , 2 or 3 homes in a big plot. so, plenty of room for trees and greenery. and also very effective , bus and train to and from suburbs and CBD. Here, in bangalore, people who work in E-City stay in Koramangla and people who work in koramangla stay in E-City. so both ways traffic. white field was designated as IT ZONE then ECITY too but growth was so rapid that city areas like koramangle, indira ngr and ulsoor etc too started seeing IT companies mushroom and along with that eateries, shops, malls etc. so, solution is simple, ban all offices in residence areas and move them out of city, first arrange for transport , train or bus of course. then stop this apartment business. see, a small plot of 30x40 has a 3 floor building with 9 houses in it! or 9 floors , 10 blocks apartment in a huge plot! this just increases the amount of people per sq km. less than mumbai but highly unmanageable traffic, water, road woes.

By early 1990s itself bangalore had become a dirty congested city. Bangalore lost its charm in the late 1970s. After that with every passing year bangalore started worsening. The only solution is to decongest bangalore by shifting some state govt depts to north karnataka, making WFH mandatory wherever possible and by shifting out central PSUs like BEL. BEML etc

The only solution is to decongest bangalore by shifting some state govt depts to north karnataka, making WFH mandatory wherever possible and by shifting out central PSUs like BEL. BEML etc
