For those who never experienced this expansion, I'm jealous for you, these were the best times for World of Warcraft. It may be boomers nostalgia talking but man the feels.

Even if Dungeons xp was crap for leveling, i remember that dungeons were so good implemented. While leveling in the zone, you got the dungeon quests with good loot reward at the end of some quest chain. So you were incentivize to look for group and do the dungeon for the quest and loot. It makes you feel like you completed the zone.

I played a druid so when TBC came out I didn't give a fuck about flying mounts. Then we found out about the nether drakes. I turned into a flower picker bot and skinning bot real quick. I still have my screen shot the day I got that mount buried in my photo bucket account.
I didn;t start until Pandaria came out, but after I saw those mounts I grinded out the rep for the, I can't imagine how tedious it will be with the place filled with other players!

HAH! This is great, takes me back to when I played TBC... Never been a role player but I happily remember that on every character I leveled I had this routine where I would Alt + Z for cinematic mode and slow walk through the Dark Portal, taking a small stop right before the entrance to stare at the dark and stormy skies of Blasted Lands, trying to remember the most relevant moments I had 1 - 58 before leaving Azeroth and entering the new world... Ahhhh great times...
I remember those first few steps through the portal and being in awe at the sky and the giant battle waging at the bottom of the steps. My first play through of vanilla, tbc and wotlk will always be some of my favourite gaming memories.

Yeah, but let’s be honest, it was Very different and fairly harder since we just had lvl 50s blues and a mix of bc quest greens, instead of rocking t2.5 to t3 gear. Idk if anyone remembers but t3 gear was better than level 70 5 man dungeon rares. Basically equal to 70 heroic epics and was equally good to t4 if you had the set bonuses and enchants.
TBC and WoTLK held peoples attention FOR A LOT longer then any other expansion since then I mean look at Shadowlands its like a ghost town already lol..

its weird that in tbc you get a quest to go to outland and then you get there shortly and then the music starts and it feels so good and now a days you have to do 60 chores to finally feel you have arrived in shadowlands i got so bored when i had to do ardenweald that i almost felt like not playing i actually started fishing and skinning just because i needed a break.. the rest of the maps were fine but to me ardenweald was such a drag
I played TBC from start to finish. Even as an end game raider. Only time in my WoW history I was in a sorta hardcore raiding guild. Just I was in the military and worked a terrible 5 days on 4 days off shift. So I basically missed half of it haha. My guild was awesome in getting me in raids when I was home. Thanks Green Crusade! Can't wait to come home every day and log in all night.

luckily we have youtube videos from 2007 that show xp off of blood furnace and ramparts, so we know by comparison this version of the beta is incorrect on experience gains. Dungeon leveling will still be the best way to level taking reputation into consideration.

I was following a hunter bot there in tbc i had reported it i get an ingame/w from a gm who spawns infront of me after some chatting he spawned that fel reaver ontop of the bot until it logged out :D
Damn. Good old days. It was also saddening to see my tier 1/2 gear slowly being retired as I progressed toward 70. And then fighting through tier 4/5/6 raids knowing at the back of my mind they'd become obsolete too on WOTLK (although I didn't play that expansion).

I have 9 different classes i play and i took them all though outlands. Probably ran thru tbc 25+ times all together. Not once have i ever played the alliance quest line lol Horde for life!! It is cool seeing the dif quests tho. Nice to know theirs still 50% of the game i haven't touched yet.
I love watching people get excited about content that's been here(for free) for such a long time. Jesus fucking christ if u are LITERALLY DYING to play tbc just go to private servers. Plenty of people there and there is much better staff that actually knows what's good for players. That being said I'm happy because I've never played tbc seriously before so i might try it since there will be so much players
I mean pservers did get a lot of players, but they were always sketchy and sometimes even had in game stores for buying items, and many More problems etc
They need to bring Need before Greed loot back to retail. The game is all about making gearing easy now. When in all honesty the concept of rolling against ppl for loot was part of what made wow....wow.

Levelling was done nicely in BC. Only criticism was having everyone funnelled into hellfire to start.

dungeon xp is from the quests in the dungeons , you get like 1 level from the quests, the idea was to force people to see the content on the ground.

Started playing wow in 2015, and I genuinely enjoyed playing Classic when it released. Can honestly say that I enjoyed it even without the nostalgia goggles

I have 9 different classes i play and i took them all though outlands. Probably ran thru tbc 25+ times all together. Not once have i ever played the alliance quest line lol Horde for life!!
It is cool seeing the dif quests tho. Nice to know theirs still 50% of the game i haven't touched yet.
I love watching people get excited about content that's been here(for free) for such a long time. Jesus fucking christ if u are LITERALLY DYING to play tbc just go to private servers. Plenty of people there and there is much better staff that actually knows what's good for players.
That being said I'm happy because I've never played tbc seriously before so i might try it since there will be so much players
I mean pservers did get a lot of players, but they were always sketchy and sometimes even had in game stores for buying items, and many More problems etc

They need to bring Need before Greed loot back to retail. The game is all about making gearing easy now.
