I did return into the sims 3 for a long time, and it was still excellent. Almost no bugs, and so many possibilities. Way less frustrating

The bugs in Sims 3 were kinda fun. Once my sim pushed the stroller through a river, another time there was a fish swimming through my kitchen. Those aren’t games breaking and had me rolling
Scenarios give me big pet stories, life stories and castaway stories vibes, god I wish they would do that again, those were so fun
I deleted the Sims 4 to have space for other games, they got rid of the scenerios????? That was my favorite thing! It did give the Sims stories vibes, it was awesome. I was so happy when it first was implemented.

I love how honest you are because it makes me as a consumer make smarter choices about what packs are worth it. You including mod details is the best, I only get mods you recommend
I like doing " collections" retail spaces as well, you can collect certain things and base a store around them, you can have strip malls for sims who collect everything. It can be really fun to pair this with traveling.
the sims 3 with mods and fixes, while taking a while to set up, is so so worth it
The main thing keeping me coming back to the sims 4 is my Ultimate Decades challenge, you play in the 1300s and you roll Death rolls every time a baby is born along when any of your sims age up. This with historical events which makes the gameplay difficult but fun i can't reccomend enough to those that are wanting a harder experience
I'm so confused, how do you do that? What world do you start in? Every time a baby is born a sim dies?
look up on youtube ultimate decade challenge. it basically gives you A LOT of self improved rules that change as you progress through time. one of the big rules early one is when a sim is born you roll a dice and depending on the roll determines whether they live, and then you do the same EVERY time a sim ages. you do need to keep a spreadsheet to keep track of things so it’s not for everyone but i love it!
I highly recommend making an off grid commune and give it the simple living challenge! It’s so fun!
i haven't tried off-the-grid yet!! simple living is super fun though and i find myself in henford for most of my gameplay

I love simple living but I had to quit because my garden kept glitching out all the time. I can't go through & manually cheat fix every single plant on a big farm lot twice every in-game day.

I have watched enough of these videos to know most ideas already but it's the first I've heard of a super sim, sounds exciting!! I want an immortal sim who simply does ALL the stuff now...
I kinda wish I had the game guide me more to explore different gameplay aspects. Because there are so many I genuinly did not know existed!
I absolutely loooove Sims 2 and I played it recently when my WiFi went down (Sims 4 wouldn't play without WiFi since I downloaded the jungle adventure for free)

I recently made an archaeologist (melody gofindy) and she bossed it all and got pregnant in the temple by a stranger (thanks wicked whims) then had Bebe then he grew up but died of hysterics and she was engaged to baby daddy (evil scientist) but the. Tried to rob him so they just existed whilst he was there.. then when son died he cheated on her and she left now she's a conservation expert in sulani and lives her best life alone by the sea

@@DiscoTimelordASD sims 2 is GOAT. I didn't like sims 3 unpopular opinion, the open world gave me anxiety, and rabbit holes are not the one. Plus I had a laptop that couldn't hack it even just basegame. I just played sims 2 on PSP (on a phone emulator) and OMG it's so good and is set just after sims 2. But the. My emulator glitched at the end and I couldn't face the final boss but I forgot how good it was
You could do a lets play of sims 3 horses or pets in general, just to compare before the sims 4 horse pack is released.
Boss level: make a super sim... in the sims 3! That's how I always like to play and the Sims 3 aspirations were so much tougher, it will keep you busy a long time!
I also like to move them to different neighbourhoods including custom to go with their current aspiration :)
Jungle adventure is not free. It was given away by Epic a while back but it's no longer free.

i hope that the sims 5 will be more fun than the sims 4, like if it will have an open world and like no loading screens i wouldnt get so fed up like i do with the sims 4

According to the sims team the sims 5 will be playable on all playforms including mobile phones, which is why the sims 4 is the way it is. The sims team also wanted sims 4 to be playable on mobile which is why they cut things like open world and the color wheel to make it playable on mobile. They scrapped the idea some where during development but it left it's nasty ass finger prints all over the sims 4. It looks like the sims 5 will be doing the same thing.
We should atleast have some hope since ea realized we know exactly what they're tryna do and pulled it from the shelves 😭
I wish we could make our custom scenarios so that we could have the whole story set up as we go and not get lost in between. The scenarios have an end and goals, and if I just follow my own ideas sometimes I just get bored or unmotivated and leave the family and focus on build&buy and cas. If the scenarios were something we could customize, the whole plot of the story would be set up already for us storytellers and we wouldn’t get distracted
the potion shop is such a good idea!! also for the "super sim" it might be interesting to have it be a generational gameplay so each kid does one
There's a reason why there are so many TS4 builders and TS4 challenges - the gameplay sucks. I don't ever remember NEEDING to find challenges for myself in TS3, you just played it.
It was challenging just to live and do what you wanted! Death was also way easier. Like I sent my kid to school one day and then all the town children were murdered by a meteorite 😢
the sims 3 is literally a dollar on instant gaming right now and the expansion packs are 1-7 dollars

I have a Sim who is a homemaker. She's famous for her homemaking channel, where she cooks, bakes, knits, gardens, arranges flowers and makes her own jams. She's working towards opening stores for each of her homemade crafts, writing guide books, and opening her own restaurant 😀
It's such a big goal that has her so absorbed in skill gain, but I'm also taking my time to pursue it realistically. So right now, she's just selling stuff on plopsy and making videos on her channels. Ageing off, though. Got to pursue this dream as a young adult, right 😏?

Playing my super sim save is my go to, especially when a new pack comes out. Great for playing sims in a different way than I would usually :) Striving to get all collections is good too.
I was so bored of Sims 4 recently that I've installed Sims 3 with all packs and damn was that the bsst decision I've made 😂

Tried the stall for the first time. Had a bunch of preserves on me so sold those. Full mark up and sold fast.

Have you experienced the gardening bug? I just started playing again after taking a year long break, only to find out that there’s a bug that makes your plants disappear or just return to dirt mounds even if they’re healthy and flourishing. It’s so frustrating because gardening is my favorite way to earn money. Even if you use cheats sometimes the plants never become harvestable again
I used to love the live off the land sort of thing until this bug. MCCC has cheats to re-grow your plants but it gets annoying with a big garden
This bug is really annoying, I use cheats to re-grow my plants everytime, but because it's so tedious, I don't plant any big garden as I used to do on previous sims games.
i will say that i've done the complete aspirations and it hasn't glitched out for me at all BUT i will say that was the only sim i had in that entire world
Some of my tips for keeping the Sims 4 fun:
1) - Roll or come up with some random skills that your Sim might get invested in and try to keep up with it in their free time. One of the things I've realized is I get bored when my Sim isn't at work because then it's just me trying to work towards increasing their main skills so I like to pick skills like Wellness, knitting, gardening, video-gaming, just a random skill outside of their career to have them get invested into.
2) - When you're a fresh young adult, play on long-life span until they get married. The reason I say this is because you won't feel as pressured to bee-line their career and you can accept having your Sim take days off work, going out with friends when invited, etc. It gives you time to really think about their partner and how you want their future to look.
3) - Change your sims look every once in a while. Give them shorter or longer hair to show growth or a major chop. Change their nail color and entire wardrobe.
4) - Pick a flaw. This one is hard because I tend to make my sims "perfect" but perfectly happy and good Sims gets stale after a while. If they live in the city maybe they hate cooking, so you always have them ordering meals to be delivered instead or they go to the stalls to eat. Maybe they refuse to learn how to repair things so you always have to hire help. Maybe they hate Penny Pizzaz.

You are so right about World Adventures, i bought it last year and it gave me so many hours of gameplay... Way more fun that the Jungle adventure.

Creating a save file is super fun, i just started and i cant wait to finish in like a year 😭 it is my dream to start a new save and not have to give makeovers to every single sim and then place down a spa and a million different restaurants. But the best part of having your own save file is that you can make them realistic, i plan on going into every household and cheating their relationships so that they have friends and romances outside of the sims they are living with, i also want to cheat their skills and career levels and give them degrees if their career would require one, and im building my own community lots that have air conditioning and fire alarm sprinklers because realistically they all would. Except for like sulani and strangerville, the more rundown or off the grid type places are not up to code 😝
Whenever I get bored in playing TS4, I download save files of other simmers or I go back to playing Sims 3 or Sims 2.
Another fun way is getting someone who being doing the singing career making a lot of friends then having them invite them to different lots for a day or a weekend with a "star", where they busk.or you could do a similar thing with a "wellness guru". Using the : host a guide a meditation skill. Its not good money but its something differernt if they are already well off. A partner to prepare meals, etc. Is handy for the weekends.

currently playing as Don Lothario. Seeing ho many children he can have before he dies, currently he has 50. I switch between normal and short lifespan I was inspired by. lady on tik tok who got Don to have have over 300 babies

I have a few Sims who have the Top Notch Toddler trait, completed all kid aspirations, finished the Scout carrer, also the theatre one, finished at least 25 adult aspirations, maxed out all base games skills, most of those from packs and extensions, have maxed out at least 6 careers, are 5 stars celebrity, plus some skills, aspirations and careers from mods. Then, make them alien spell casters with 50 perk points they can't use as they already have all of the perks, know all spells and potions.
Does that count as a Super Sim ?

I had to stop playing sims 3 with only about half the expansion packs because my computer just couldn’t run it. But that was back in the days of buying discs. I wonder if it would run better now if I got it online.

Step 2 - open the Sims 3

GREAT TIPS
When I get bored with the sims in general I play Zelda or look at manga or anime to come up with ideas for a story in the sims.
I don't know how you got through TS3 World Adventures. I couldn't figure anything out and had to cheat my way through. Although, I'm also one of those who had to cheat my way through Myst and still use SimCity in sandbox mode.

Can anyone advise me on how to see my neigbours in City living apartments? I moved in a family from gallery but when I return to my current save and hover over the apartment of the family I just moved in, it says to “move in household” and appears empty, but then I’d see the Sim randomly outside the corridor still homeless.
Its so frustrating when your game progresses gets deleted in the Sims 4 happend to me three times so a backup makes a lot of sense
Also the Sims 3 is a really great game except the graphics (just prefer the look from sims 4 but as you already mentioned that's one of the little good things about the Sims 4) when I started playing the Sims 4 at the time it was released I even started playing the Sims 2 because of the toddlers (which didn't exist in the first Version of the Sims 4)

My pc died right when i was ready to give into mods. Ive been playing on Playstation, and saving up for a new desktop. I honestly can't wait to try all the mods, and cc.

There are restaurants in the library that came with the game. I made the gym in Del Sol Valley into a spa, because celebrities don't want a gym they want a spa.
I always ignored the townies storylines in Sims 2.
I've already gone back to Sims 3. But! Next time I have to play Sims 4, I intend to play as a bear. Yes, a bear. They can raise bees and berries and have everyone be scared of them. Sounds fun.
I so want to go back to sims 3! But I had to sell my gaming laptop a few years ago (to buy my dog, worth it!) and now I have a smol Macbook that wont be able to run sims 3. A PC with similar stats might have been able to, but the port to run sims 3 on a mac is SO bad that it gets even harder to run. But I miss sims 3 to the point where I got teary eyed when I saw Plumbella play in Appaloosa plains the other day 💔

Im actually not bored cause Im inspired to play the game like in a real life, and if you do this you will start feel like you have always something fun to do, and btw I have all the packs too, for making my game fun, and custom content! Ashleyplays its my favourite simmer, the way she plays, makes me want always play Sims 4, she play the game like in real life and you become attached to the Sims that way, makes me love them even more🥰!
I keep trying to get into the sims 3 but after I play a save for a few days, it can’t run for over 20 min without crashing
-Play the game as a game. Collect the things, finish aspirations, complete the careers, use all the EP features, play the scenarios.
-Build. Build existing building you know, famous buildings, floorplans, or a unique build based on an idea or scenario. Build up new rest or demo an existing world and create to your liking.
-CAS. Create a self Sim, people you know, famous people, a Sim the exact opposite you in every way, a Sim for every stereotype or character archetype
-Play a fan challenge. NSB, R2R, 100Bebe and general Legacy are the basic (bech) ones but there are some unique ones out there as well. Create your own.
-Create and play a storyline. You're a director and so you must play out the scenes you see in your head. Use movie or TV plots to get you started.

I randomly started playing Planet Zoo and was shocked at the amount of gameplay and things included for a fraction of the Sims 4 dlc price. It looks better too. Sims 4 is a house building simulator, that's it. Even when we do get some gameplay the game is too buggy to enjoy it properly.

Great ideas. I've never done the complete all aspirations challenge. That sounds like it would take 4-ever! But definitely engaging. I guess you would turn off aging to complete that?
yes, i've actually been doing this with my sim and it definitely keeps you engaged!! i've been doing this with one for agesss and i haven't lost interest. plus, opens up some things you may not have known about other packs and aspirations you don't usually use if that makes sense

Lowkey liked the sims 4 even tho not open world, the small area is enough since you only play around that area anyway and the loading screen is fast. The sims 3 loading screen is so long + longer if you want to play with mods.
The sims 3 loading screen is long but you only have to sit through it practically only once. After that, no more loading.

the sims 4 is more stable.
With the right mods and cleaning out caché files my sims 3 runs better than 4 with only a 10 /15 minute loading screen, all packs and store content installed. Minimal crashing and that's only if I've been clicking around to fast for the game to catch up! If you haven't tried mods for 3 and want to try again with it, look into nrass and lazy duchess mods.

They’ve fixed Dine Out! I’ve had successful eats this whole mon… ok past 4 weeks I realize it’s early in the month. But even gallery restaurants I’ve had decent luck with! Shocking, I know
Also! You can save a sim to your gallery if you need to do a new save file, they will have all their skills and happiness point reward thingies
sims 4 just really isn't for me. i gave it multiple chances but nah. still end up finding my way back to older versions
i usually play sims 3 and i absolutely love it still. and sometimes when i get bored, i go play some sims medieval
but
recently i decided to play some sims 2 and, my god, i remembered why i love this game
in order to be perfect, sims 5 just needs to combine sims 2 and sims 3, honestly. and have only some things sprinkled in from sims 4
The fact that amongst the 4 sims franchise, the sims 4 is the only sims game who have videos dedicated on how to stop yourself from falling asleep in front of your computer/console after 30 minutes of opening the game is... sad.
that life legacy where you make them work, go to university, get job, move to suburban, have a family, sounds nice, like how people's life is. i'm too impatient.. i always want to build so need money and ended up giving them motherlode..

MY PROBLEM IS I HAVEN'T EVEN STARTED TO PLAY IT YET ENOUGH TO GET BORED. I'M JUST SETTING UP A MASSIVE SAVE FILE WITH EVERYTHING CUSTOMIZED SO I CAN FULFILL STORYLINES I'VE BEEN BUILDING UP OVER THE YEARS WITH MY DOLL COLLECTION... SO, THERE'S THAT. BUT I AM LEARNING ALOT ABOUT BUILDING BY SPEDING TIME MAKING MY SAVE FILE WORLDS. AND WHEN I LOAD INTO PLAYED SAVES WHERE I JUST DABBLED A BIT HERE AND THERE, THE UNIVERSE SEEMS SO BLAND AND BORING COMPARED TO THE COOL SIMS AND LOTS I HAVE IN MY SAVE FILE SO FAR. YIKES.

I bought Sims 3 recently but it’s unplayable for me, it freezes every 5 mins, if anyone has any advice please help 😭
I would recommend a few mods:
1. Nraas - They have a plethora of performance mods. Definitely grab Overwatch, Error Trap, Master Controller and Story Progression with their respective modules (finds and cleans up errors, gives you various options to control everything)
2. Lazy Duchess Smooth Patch (makes the game so much faster)
3. GPU Add-on (adds support for more recent graphics cards)
Even with these mods, TS3 requires a decent computer to run smoothly.
Things like allocating more RAM to the game are also an option.
I would recommend watching a video on how to improve performance.

If you search on yt for acottonsock she has a brilliant step by step guide for everything you need, nrass and lazy duchess mods are a must, they fix a huge amount of lag!! Also ella charmed has fixed routing of worlds which is covered in the video.
I have noticed if your computer fan starts going crazy if you press windows button and go back to desk top, watch task manager and when all numbers go back down you can normally go back into game and have avoided many crashes!!
