It likely is a story that takes place in one of the locations in dead by daylight's lore.
I'd assume this game takes place outside the entity/fog and then maybe at some point inside the entity/fog. We see the huntress mask here.
It takes place outside of The Entity’s Realm, set in the 70s about a group of filmmakers. The poster for their movie “Murder Mill” is hidden the Greenville Theatre map
