They didn't build before they married and their health is failing too. Twenty year olds please delay marriage until you have set yourself on solid ground. Your future self will thank you. Yes. I agree completely. You can get divorced at any age. However, you’re still finding out yourself in your 20s. 30s in my opinion is the best time to start a family and be married. At that time, most people are financially and emotionally ready.
I disagree actually. I did what you said and now I’m 48 single and no children. I kept pushing it off for my career (I’m a woman) and now it’s too late. You’ll never love as purely and deeply as you do in your first love and for every other partner you have your chances of divorce sky rocket. So call me old fashioned but I say marry your first love if he is good and kind and whether you become millionaires or not you’ll live a happy and blessed life surrounded by kids who will be there in your old age. If I could go back now I’d do just that. No shaking up. No giving the milk away for free. No running around enjoying myself at the expense of a family and future.
I disagree. I met my husband a week after I turned 21. He proposed to me 4 months later and we got married 9 months after that. This year we celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary. I was still in college when we got married and he was working full-time. I would never delay being with the person I love for a job or financial setup. It’s the same for those people who say don’t have kids until you can afford them - then you’ll never have kids. If you truly love that person, and they love you, and you are both committed to each other, you figure it out.
I disagree too. I got married at 22, been married for 21 yrs now, we have 4 kids and life is great. Granted we were poor when we got married and had student loans, but we were able to pay them off. I stayed home with my kids working part time for a few years and even thought we never took extravagant vacations life had been good to us. Wouldn’t change a thing. Those verses aren’t talking about not being like everybody else its talking about giving yourself to God and through the word of God having your mind transformed to know the will of God. At least I think that’s what it partially means.
I wish John would actually address what goes on behind abusive relationships instead of just seeing one person as the victim. As a Christian, as hard as it is, we need to pray for, have compassion for, and try and help all people, even if they are abusive addicts.
Believe it or not Dr. John has actually taken calls from both abusive men and addicts on his own show and he was extremely compassionate to both of them. John is the most empathetic, loving, and caring guy there is HOWEVER, it is not the time to pray for an abusive jerk while a hurting lady who wrote in needs help.

So the guy that is abusive to his wife and ended up in jail; it’s so easy to call him a monster like Dave and John are doing but they need to get to the root of the problem. I’m going to assume he’s abusive because his wife makes more money than him and he feels belittled. But the cause could be “friends” he hangs out with that aren’t being friends if they mock him by saying his wife wears the pants in the family. He needs counseling and needs to remove any “friends” from his life and someone needs to speak into his life and make him realize that his wife loves him and wants to be his partner in life.

30$ an hour to work on airplanes? Chevrolet hiring at 75$ an hour in Los Angeles. thats messed up 30:00
My V8 Ford Explorer Sports Trac 2007. $8K cash. 4 door truck.
How is every dollar calculated when paychecks vary from sometimes overtime sometimes not. Is this just on the basis of 40 hours a week?
Statement idea for shirts..."so when are you getting married?"...for all those unmarried couples blending their finances.
I wish I could get the debt free hoodie but not yet 😊
Reddit, Twitter. Stay for 5 minutes then leave! I only go there to look at pets. Why would I seek advice from random strangers that I know nothing about?
John, "that's cool, let me tell you about myself" Delony
You forgot to add bro.
250k for a house!!!! Where the hell do these people live!
Beans and rice
Rice and beans
That on a shirt please!🎉
I sure wish I could buy the better than I deserve cup and shirt, but I’m in baby step 2 😭
I would pay money to watch "Home Renovations with Dave"!! LOL
New to Ramsey, but, why do they give a free course to people who have the money to purchase one, and not the guys who can't afford and are in debt, like the last guy who was newly divorced?
Don’t rag on us clothing sellers Dave lol 😂
Can I have a DELONY shirt?🤙🏽
There's another issue w/ home renovations on older homes. We found that out when we had two bathrooms redone. When our house was built everything was in feet and inches, now much (like tiles) is in metric.
None of my homes are in metric. Not my older homes, and not my new construction. So I'm not sure what your looking at. 🤔
@@BrendaBodwin What I was talking about was not the measurements of the house, but of the items you need to use to renovate, like tiles. Our bathroom measurements of the space is in feet and inches, but all the tiles we wanted to use were in metric measurements which meant the guy doing the renovations had to do some creative measuring and cutting. That happened to be a job for a pro, not a DIYer.
@@Trustbutverify2651 I see. I cut my own tile, with a marble cutter, aka a wet saw. Works great.
@@Trustbutverify2651the only thing that would be creative would be the ordering of the material the contractor is going to measure it and cut it on the job site
Should do a shirt that says "Beans on rice, rice on beans"
Like money? What’s that?
Is this the Ramsey show?
Why not whole life?
Where in the steps do you save for a house? theyre written as if I already own one
Not written, but referenced as 3b in discussions😊
@@marysaltlife1427 do you work 3b and 4 at the same time?
@@noaspenceryou can, if you want to, or you can throw all your money into saving for a house, as long as it's not more than three years. The other option is to put some towards the house down payment and some (less than the full 15%) towards retirement...again, not for longer than three years.
@@noaspencer I'm not sure, but I know 4,5,&6 are worked together, so maybe not. I'd wait for someone who really knows that answer to type it. I hope the very best to you on your financial journey.
3b. Dave explains it in the Total Money Makeover book.
Romans 12
12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Those verses aren’t talking about not being like everybody else its talking about giving yourself to God and through the word of God having your mind transformed to know the will of God. At least I think that’s what it partially means.
I downloaded every money app. I would rather divert the 18 a month to pay off my bills.
Men’s boxers that the butt says “rice and beans, beans a rice”😂
I wish John would actually address what goes on behind abusive relationships instead of just seeing one person as the victim. As a Christian, as hard as it is, we need to pray for, have compassion for, and try and help all people, even if they are abusive addicts.
Believe it or not Dr. John has actually taken calls from both abusive men and addicts on his own show and he was extremely compassionate to both of them. John is the most empathetic, loving, and caring guy there is HOWEVER, it is not the time to pray for an abusive jerk while a hurting lady who wrote in needs help.
OP is a troll. He can always find a reason to belittle John. It’s sad
You cant just sell the home. Both names are on the title. He's not just gonna let her sell the house without a court order
Oh yes you can. You can certainly force a sale by going to court.
1:18:22 "my daughter is 15 but we don't have money to pay for college". Dude, where have you been 15 years? It never crossed your mind that one day your daughter to go to college and you need some money
The math some people do in their head is funny. Spend 200k to save on rent...
Wait for it - flash the corgi will declare John the greatest and the best of all times.
He is! You know me so well. Dr. John is the BEST!!! 🩵
Why doesn’t Dave like gold and other commodities?
Because they don’t have a great long term track record of growth.
@@snipetownsamright but that’s why gold is an inflation hedge/money/savings. Not an investment. Dave has a problem holding 5% gold and silver in a portfolio?
@@snipetownsamGold has increased in value for thousands of years. It has been used all over the world as currency. It's inflation proof and a tangible asset with intrinsic value. Most Billionaires have quite a bit invested in Gold. The biggest economic mistake The US ever made was making the US dollar a Fiat currency no longer backed by gold. Now the Federal Reserve has full control over the economy by just printing more money, which decreases the value of the dollar, thus causing inflation which is basically a tax on the working class that we never approved of. Gold is at the highest value ever, over $2000/oz and will go up as more countries no longer use The US dollar as currency.

"Like drugs were in the pipe pipe dream" buying a new camper and truck by borrowing over $150k
Here's a hint: when you don't make enough and have a high enough credit score to buy a small home, that should be a clue you can't afford a $150k new camper. And Dave blames Camping World... This pair REALLY could not read the writing on the wall.
Please ,please do not take God's name in vain.
30 dollars a hour equals 50 thousand a year.
After taxes, perhaps. $30 an hour x 40 hours= 1200 a week. There are 4.3 weeks in a month= $5160 per month. Times 12= $61,920 if my napkin math is correct.
You know what I’ve noticed. It’s mostly the wives that are making these phone calls Dave where are the husbands?😂
😂😂 sorry sorry, Dave “What kinda debt are you in bro” 😂😂
Work out 6 days a week with kids wow
Wow are you guys support life insurance what a trip off
Dave has a lot of rants about term life insurance versus whole life. He states that whole life is the scam and that term is helpful.
John is going to carry this show into the next generations.
I hope not. He's an irresponsible "therapist" trying to give advice to people he has no actual knowledge of past a 30 second conversation
Not in this lifetime.

Where was the wife's money to pay on either of these cars? Did she just sit on her @$$ and let the military guy support her?
After all she took one of the vehicles so she should be paying off that debt and that debt should be expunged from his record since she chose to take it over
Euphemia Nazis wanted equality, have at it but it also comes with responsibility

John adds no value
Dr. John adds A LOT of the value. There is a reason he is the most popular/ most liked personality on the Ramsey team. He’s the BEST!!! ❤
@@flashthecorgi2053 Every comment he's made on this show is super basic, surface level crap you can hear anywhere.
@@Greyreal. You literally heard Dave say that the letter idea was fantastic. Also, what do the other personalities add? They just parrot the baby steps. John actually thinks for himself, and uses his counseling PhD to answer the questions. Not to mention, multiple different times Dr. John has literally saved lives on this show. Several times has detected abuse and gotten someone the help they need. So he adds infinite value on this show! Ramsey won the freaking lottery getting Delony on their team!
