Glad you can get it to work. My sync has not worked at all from my Mac to my Windows PC Arc. Even my user card has a different date on it. If I try to enable the Sync switch, it just says "disabled". And support has not responded once, for about a month now.

Favorites are built off of profiles, which are not synced at the moment, it’d be nice if they could be though
please make it so that it seamlessly integrates tabs without having to pin from mobile

I have a Galaxy S, so I'm glad to hear Arc Search is coming to Android. I hope one day we might also get Arc for Linux, and be able to sync across everything. Just an idea, would love to see Arc Search also able to find things on the phone itself as well. Then I could download things like maps, pictures, songs, etc... and bring them up in Arc Search offline when I don't have a connection. Or maybe that's already a feature, don't have an iPhone so I don't know.
Would love to see history, extension, and settings/preferences (e.g,. Air Traffic Control) synced to all desktop instances, as that's a crucial part of how I research and do prep.
Love these updates! It would be really cool to have a gesture to pin tabs to our spaces. I think I might even prefer the "pinch to pin" over the current "pinch to summarize" gesture. Maybe we could have an option to pick what we want that gesture to do? Love Arc! Keep up the great work, team!

Ohhhh!😱I waited for it for a really loooooong time🎉Browsing across desktop and mobile platform is the most critical core feature to me in my daily routine. There’s still one last step to make it perfect is to get it compatible with iPad or other wide resolution, which really fulfill my complete workflow of a day. Let’s get out of all of other browsers and make Arc our primary ones💪
I'd love to be able to set some spaces to not sync - I don't need my Work, or main browsing space on my work computer. But I would love to have a space synced between my work and personal computers. (Being able to get a bit more granular on what syncs would be amazing! Loving the sync so far between my work Mac laptop and my Windows PC! Can't wait to be able to use it on my Android phone as well

Cool point. Personally, pinning seems like a spike. I usually use an Apple feature that suggests open the last tab from the iPhone on my Mac. Or if it’s luggy😂 I close Arc on my phone and it’s sync the open tab history with my Mac. For me it’s more clean way because pinning is rather save for a long term purpose

You can add the new shortcut to the share sheet. Then, when you have a summary, pin it by selecting the carrot button->share->Arc Search

Although I am a bit confused.
Favourites are not synced and what if I don’t want the tab synced to be pinned but just in my today (general) tabs?
On the other hand, Arc for iPhone had that functionality for months and I just can’t help but ask, why these 2 apps coexist?
Plus there is no iPad app which makes the whole Arc on mobile inconsistent and confusing 🫤
But to keep things positive, I really enjoy Arc on macOS and it’s running great on windows too!

The sync is a pretty basic and super useful feature in a browser. But what I do miss very very very very hard, is that it doesn't sync the favourite tabs.
I was thinking why they aren't set up for syncing and the only reason I could come up with, is that they are linked to profiles. But then I was thinking about why profiles aren't synced.
If you have feedback on this, I'm more than happy to listen to the reasoning behind it.
Or if you would like to more input from my about this, I'm more than happy to jump on a call.
Please add the feature to translate Web pages for Windows. Also no theming options in Windows, would be glad if you guys bring it.

a way to toggle the two ways the arc browser can open the sidebar please, like eithher the ctrl or just by hovering on the side
Can you sync Arc with Chrome and Safari Bookmarks? Would be really useful as I use Safari on iPhone, iPad and Mac and Chrome in Windows atm and I already sync the Bookmarks between both. I like Arc but right now I couldn't imagine making it my my standard Browser because of all the features it lacks. It has so many innovative things but on the other hand doesn't have many basic things

The Sync feature is great! I have had a great experience using it across multiple devices. However, I have encountered an issue where the Sync feature cannot be enabled on one of my MacBooks. I have tried logging in again and reinstalling the app, but it didn't work. I have written to customer service many times for help but have never received a response. Arc's products are really good, but I hope my issue can be resolved
Hello, I am a big fan of the Arc browser, however, I own both a Mac computer and a PC with Windows 10, and unfortunately, I cannot install it on the latter because it is only compatible with Windows 11. I was wondering if there are any plans to make it available on Windows 10 and Ubuntu in the future? Thank you

For a Chinese user, I'm not sure if it's because of the network, but even if I'm connected to vpn, the "turn on" button in the arc sync function can't be clicked, which makes it impossible to use the sync function in arc search.
Interestingly, even if I don't click this button, the arc app on the Mac side and the arc app on the mobile will still be synchronized, as long as I log in to the same account.
Please please please - sync extensions as well. We are at the forefront of web3.0 and I'd like to use my wallets across devices / profiles. Unfortunately the sync doesn't work here. Other example: I'm using a different ad blocker and for each profile I have to delete the extension, reinstall my other ad blocker and config 1password, dev tools and the rest over and over again (also the view and pinning of them all). This would be so awesome if at least for desktop they could sync. For mobile - not a big deal as extensions don't work there anyway (wallets and pw-manager is a separate app). Hey! Why not implementing a Continuity/Handsoff-like integration?
It's been around for almost a decade now. Apple users are used to browsing on Safari iOS to macOS, back and forth. Hence having to pin a tab to sync it seems cumbersome.
I assume this is MVP (due to cross-platform complexity?), and it would ship later 💌

I had the same thought, checked their “other apps” on the app store and saw they don’t have it anymore. She also addressed it at the end of the video, said they got rid of it.

Arc sync is great, but I really miss a possibility to sync also passwords and profile settings if using different profiles with different Arc spaces. That would be really the thing which allows seamless work...

i know its not on priority, but windows users arent critical at the moment if cost is a factor.

Arc is the best browser and I'll die on that hill.
How about a new Space in Desktop for iphone? And all open tabs on mobile just show up, and of course on Desktop we can move tabs between spaces already, so could save a bunch of time in not pinning all the tabs

I really would want to access my mobile tabs without always pinning them first. So maybe a space for mobile tabs is an idea, or more heavly integrate spaces (like in the old arc app) add show all open app tabs in the today section.
Selecting a Space on mobile should put you IN that Space (and the color of the interface should change to match it). If you open a new tab - it should automatically be in that space, just like any new tabs on Desktop. If we want a "mobile" space - then we can just create one and set our space to that on our phone.

Will passwords and history also be synced between ios and windows at some point?
I did solve the password issue with a third party password manager. Arc on iOS doesn't feature a global device keychain like Chrome or Google Search apps (or the built-in that Apple offers), that's what was stopping me from completely switching to Arc

I just realized by viewing another post that there are two different apps for the mobile: Arc and Arc Search. If you download the latter, you will see the icons she is talking about. God only knows why there are two...but that is the problem - not the cropping of the video! Hope that helps!
