How I Downgraded An Old Computer back to Windows 8.1

  • Watch as I take an old family computer running on an outdated version of Windows 10 (Version 1511 to be exact) and downgraded it back to Windows 8.1!
    Now for some disclaimers:
    - This downgrade will only work if you have a product key for the original Windows operating system. I do not condone the act of pirating and downgrading computer software willy-nilly.
    - There are parts in the video that are intentionally blurred out or masked to avoid accidental leaking of sensitive information: email addresses, passwords, network names, faces, and most profile pictures were all censored for confidentiality assurance.

Hello. I can see you know a lot. I've a question . I've win 8.1. I've C and D partitions. Partition D: has System Volume Information folder and recycle bin. I want to reset pc (to win8.0) ... should I delete D drive files? (There are 2 options. Only c or all drives)
I want to still have the factory reset option in the future...
And clean pc (delete many restore points, and files)
What should I do? I don't know if delete D: (where is system volume information) its important to make factory reset in the future...

10:20 Those other partitions are from windows 10 so if you keep them, they will stay there along with the duped ones from 8.1
First thing you do when doing setup is DELETING all partitions, every single one of them.

I respect you upgrade to 8.1, but I have a lot of complains in this video (Not hating on you, just wanted to add this because it frustrates myself), firstly, it is so long which i don't complain but whatever, how do you not know about Rufus, how can you install Windows inside Windows in the first place? (first thing I do is boot from DVD/USB), FORMAT YOUR HARD DRIVE, YOU WASTED LIKE 300GB BECAUSE OF WINDOWS.OLD, the time Windows installs depends on your HDD/SSD speed, you can get out the USB any time you want after the copying files, disable everything in customized settings, do not connect to to WI-FI to skip Microsoft account, and last of all, THAT LAPTOP IS PERFECTLY CAPABLE OF RUNNING WINDOWS 10 22H2 unless you got a HDD, SSDs are so cheap nowdays that you can get them for nothing, I do respect that you upgraded to Windows 8.1 though because I myself hate Windows 10 and 11 so much, I also use 8.1 as main although mine is Embedded Industry Pro not just Pro

My 2.1 Ghz Amd was slow when I installed Windows 7. After some use, the win learnt that the boot speed, the overall speed is too slow, later it became much faster. Now, at energy saving mode 50% cpu speed, 1 ghz, 333 mhz ram speed, it is really fast. The cpu usage is 0% -10%. Only power consuming websites use more cpu, at 80%. 720p youtube videos need 100% cpu power.
