All music used in this video is from the RUclips Audio Library. When you want to upgrade from Windows 1.0 to Windows 11 but the VM doesn't, this is what happens.
AWESOME Thank You! What a trip down memory lane! I am watching this on a linux install on a flash drive that took about 10 minutes to download and install, and it runs everything seamlessly. I remember the feeling I had looking at the stack of floppies for 3.11 and that shiny new win 95 box.....😁
Great video, man! Though you seemed to have skipped Windows ME. Was there any reason for that? Is it possible to include it in the future? Again, great video nontheless!

These compilations show to me a big issue with Linux. I still haven't come across anyone doing an update run from a version that's 10yrs+ to a recent one. Because something always breaks :(
I did that at work a while ago with Ubuntu 10 or 11 to 22.04. Basically no issue: you need to redirect to the archive servers for apt to resolve packages. also the older systems didnt have a release-upgrade mechanism. so you just change the distro name in /etc/apt/sources.list to one newer, and run apt upgrade, reboot, done. in between, you need to pay attention to the many questions apt asks wether to replace config files or not, and sometimes adjust by hand after the installation to incorporate new defaults. but its doable. after ubuntu 14.04, it was really only doing do-release-upgrade multiple times.
10+ years? I don't think I've ever had a distro install last more than a few months before I break something and just want to (*cough* have to) do a new install lol
in ~35 minutes (sorta) this virtual PC went from several versions of Windows earlier than I've ever used (my first was 95) to newer than what I have now (still 10), that's kinda nuts
Do you have a legal copy of all these operating systems? And also i got a pro tip for you: In virtualbox when you open an OS you can click rigth ctrl + F and it will turn your OS into fullscreen mode!
@@memelian4 I just mainly used generic keys; ones that let the user proceed with the installation, but do not activate the OS. Also, I did use fullscreen mode with resolutions of 1280×1024 pixels or higher. The reason I didn't with smaller resolutions is because the status bar doesn't appear in fullscreen mode, so I can't see disk activity.
I have no doubt whether you can have Windows from 1 to 3.x at the same time, in the same hard drive/partition, but is it possible to have all Windows 9x at the same time in some tricky way, also together with the ones I have mentioned earlier? I learned that MS-DOS 6.22 and later cannot support earlier Windows, but to run Windows ME you need MS-DOS 8.0, and MS-DOS 8.0 is Windows 3.x compatible, I know.
