The reason he quit working with comedy central years ago was that comedy central wanted him to make his jokes "edgier and more racist". Dave didn't have any interest in doing that, so he walked. Comedy central then signed Carlos Mencia to fill that "edgy racist" joke void that Dave wasn't around to fill. We all know where that went.. Now, Dave Chappelle is under fire for making remarks that are too edgy? 🙄

Sometimes it seems arbitrary, or it's selective outrage like Chris Rock said. I remember reading about Mel Gibson getting fired from The Hangover sequel, because the cast didn't want to work with a possible antisemite. And even though I don't like Mel Gibson, and couldn't care less if he's "canceled", I 𝒅𝒊𝒅 have an issue with that. In the first movie they had no problem working with Mike Tyson, a convicted rapist. I'm not saying they should've kicked him out the movie, but they should be consistent, or at least explain their reasoning.

I felt personally vindicated by that, I had been saying for years that she's probably a monstrous ghoul in real life, because anyone who tries that hard to convey themselves as this super positive, super happy, always doing the right thing kind of saint typically has some skeletons in their closet. Had several ex girlfriends get mad at me over that, saying I was just being pessimistic, blah blah blah all the rest. I always told them I was just being realistic.

Well, these lists and reasons were created by other users, so we can't hold it against WatchMojo too much.
In Armie Hammer’s case, he was abused by a priest, which let him to be exposed to all sorts of sexual misconduct. After hearing this, I actually feel really bad for him, even if what his victims say is true, it won’t change my feelings for Armie. I love the guy and hopefully he’ll make a comeback.
You know, Robert Downey Jr. is helping him out with rehab and such.

Did you watch the documentary his aunt made, House of Hammer? It was very interesting. According to his aunt, Armie is a byproduct of a wealthy family who looked at women as sex toys. The things she described that the women in that family have to deal with is insane. Three generations of that family lived in one mansion in Barbados. The aunt says it was not an uncommon occurance to walk into a room, and her father or brother would be having sex with the maids. Crazy family.

The Kevin Spacey shit really gutted me. I was at his premiere of Albino Alligator working the gala afterward at 16 years old. There were a bunch of us kids working that event to get community service hours. I got to spend time with him for a few hours the day after as he took a liking to me (I’m female, and/so it wasn’t sexual at all). I had the gall to ask him why he didn’t “come out” (this was 1996) since he showed up to the feature with a very flamboyantly queer man. He told me to turn off my tape recorder and said he didn’t think “the world [was] ready for [him] to admit [being gay], and he wanted an “aura of mystery” to protect him. I’ll never forget that. I’ll never forgive him for coming out while admitting he “probably” sexually molested a minor as so many “Christian coalition” types put homosexuality in the same category as paedophilia. Anyway, I didn’t turn the recorder on for the rest of the “interview” (that’s an even longer story), and I had a great time hanging out with him eating danish and smoking Marlboro Lights as he was my favorite actor at the time and was for many years. I was considering the career path myself at one point, but too much luck is involved, and I wanted something a bit more grounded. I did the stage for many years as a dancer, (oh!) I did get to dance with him at one point, too! I hate that this memory is sullied by his abhorrent actions. Sorry this was so long. I’ve been up for 75 hours now, and I’m over-sharing. Apologies.
