Speaking of "hair bands" of the 80s that produced solid blues based rock, you should break out the best of the bunch. Great White. Mark Kendall was (imo) a better guitarist and Jack Russell a much better vocalist. The official videos of Rock Me and the full version of House Of Broken Love are pinnacle examples of this on display... especially HOBL.
As far as grate lead singers who can play grate lead guitar, you cannot go past Ms Vixen Janet Gardiner ! The white guitar with the spikey dude on it she still plays , the one from Daytona Beach 1989 live concert of Vixen and she plays it in her latest song Talk To Myself / 85 , she rocks lead !
Take me back Cause I need to be reminded What I left behind me so far away (Take me back) Cause I need to feel the fire Yesterdays desire ain’t far away…
"Bad Seamstress Blues / Fallin' Apart At The Seams" is one of my favorites In concert they would do the classic guitar hero poses playing then suddenly spin the guitars 360 degrees around their body in synch by throwing/spinning them on the straps, so badass. I have seen all the greats and loads of the almosts and Cinderella was top-shelf showmanship like Alice Cooper, Kiss, Van Halen, AC/DC, and Mötley Crüe . . .
A lot of bands I think we kind of took for granted and didn’t realize the talent and greatness that we were witnessing in real time. Looking back has made me appreciate the great bands of that time even more today. I’ve loved music all of my life but there’s something special about the music from about 1980 - 1995. They were pure talent and many were classically trained. Some of my favorite songs and bands never made it big. There’s something about a band’s struggle and hardships to “make it” that produces their best music. For every big moment or event that’s happened in my life there’s usually a song attached to it. 🤘🏻🎸🎤🤘🏻
Cinderella is my favorite from that era. The first time i heard Tom Kiefers voice i was in for this band. He gives it all every show and so good live. Still rock out thirty years plus.
I’ve read/heard he’s incredibly shy and actually suffered from stage fright. He’s very sweet and very soft spoken according to a friend of mine that was on the Def Lepard cruise with Tom Kiefer
I have been a fan of Cinderella since 1991. I actually bought the first three albums all on the same day from two different shops that faced each other on my local high street. I had never heard the band before, but at that point I was pretty much buying anything hair metal that I could lay my hands on. Loved all three albums, and shortly after I picked up the 7" picture disc of the single, Heartbreak station. It took until 2011 for me to finally get to see them live when they did a one off show in London, England. So glad I got that chance as the band fell apart after that, and sadly it was mostly down to Jeff and his issues. I remember an interview with Jeff and he always regretted the band would never work together again because nobody wanted to work with him anymore. Sadly when Jeff passed away I was totally unaware (same with Johnny Solinger) as I was hospitalised at the time for three whole months and my brain was kinda messed up. Months later when I was out I randomly found out about both Jeff and Johnny and was stunned. It's just a shame that Jeff and the band never made up. Don't know what you go til its gone is very apt for their relationship.
Burch/Alexis……I know I’ve commented in the past, but honestly, I don’t have the words to describe how much I LOVE your show! Burch, like you, I am an 80s Hair fan! Cinderella/Dokken/Poison/Doo….love it all….but, and I hope Alexis knows the song, “For You”, by Keith Urban……is one AMAZING country song! As a Veteran, it strikes a nerve, with me….and is just amazing! Been a fan, from the early days, and I LOVE you guys. I admire you, and what you’ve made. 👍🇺🇸❤️
I've heard Tom in an interview for a local radio station a couple years ago and he has a great speaking voice. You wouldn't expect to get that raspy sound with how he sounds when he talks. After all these years he still sounds amazing
Saw Cinderella open for BonJovi in '87. I was 20 doing the cover band thang around town with some originals and working at "the" pro music shop in El Paso. The shop was invited as guests, and we met both bands before the show. All the guys from Cinderella signed a Kramer guitar that we later sold at the shop. Jeff was a Kramer endorser. He is playing a Kramer guitar in the vid. Both bands were badass. 🤘
My first concert was Cinderella and Bon Jovi on the Slippery When Wet tour in 1987. Tom Kiefer kicked a beach ball and it smacked off my forehead in the first row. 13yr old me was hooked!
BURRRRCH ... awesome song. I've met Tom several times here in Baltimore when he's played here over the years. He's a great guy and extremely humble. Thanks for having Alexis check these guys out. Edit: Can confirm, his speaking voice is NOTHING like his singing voice. I feel that he strained his vocal chords to get that high pitched rasp sound which contributed to his vocal paralysis later in life. A ton of vocalists did things like this to get to a higher pitch than they normally could because in those days, having a high pitch singer was equal to having a lead guitarist that could play 1,000 notes in a 12 bar frame. It was all about one upping the next band. Sad but true. You can thank EVH for the guitar competition and guys like Tate, Dickinson, Halford, and Dio for the Vocal competition.
listening to this song took me back in time, it was really cool in the 90s we had a crowd that really liked the band and many other bands I love Cinderella, I love this song
Thank you for reacting to Cinderella, there are few bands that their debut album changed the game, "Night Songs" absolutely changed the landscape of things.
Last summer I went to my highschool reunion (graduated 1982) and having the dj play this song brought back so many memories. All the stories, the music, first cars, lost loves, all the former classmates who passed away in the meantime RIP, ... its just a song that brings out all the feels.
This song brings back so many memories. Me and my friend would rewind this song ( on cassette) in the car and listen over and over on the way to school
I can tell you what they sound like when you talk to them. My girlfriend and I hung out on their tour bus. We just talked and hung out great times! Tom just talks with a regular voice.Great bunch of guys!! 🤘💜💜
I had the pleasure of seeing them back in the day once when they were an opening band and again when they were the headliner. Both were great concerts.
I can listen now and enjoy and smile. Years ago when it came out ithis explained my poor aching heart. Funny how time and distance can change things. I love Cinderella please do more of them I love watching the reaction
Love the channel,as a gen X I'm stuck in the 80s music was like many of us kids music was our escape and this song hits a lot of memories for me and he always had one of those distinct voices of the '80s
My all time favorite band is Cinderella, even have an original Night Songs t-shirt. My favorite song by Cinderella is The Last Mile which is also my favorite song ever. I will totally watch you play that one if you choose to.
Hey Guys I've heard him talk and his speaking voice is very clear. I grew up with alot of bands you guys react to. Nothing but love guys you are awesome ❤
Seen these guys on tour with while Lion and Tangier in Morgantown WV I wanna say back in 89 on the Long cold winter tour and I started playing guitar right after that show and never stopped.....What an inspiration in music these guys were!! Also Tom's voice talking is pretty normal.
I got to see them LIVE when they toured with Def Leppard , Slaughter, Reo Speedwagon and Styx. I knew of Cinderella but when I saw them they were a laid back group like watching blues concert with the lighting like you were in a lounge setting and they sang all there classics from the 80's and then some others great show by all that took the stage that night.
This song came out right around when my high school crush and good friend was killed in a car wreck. We were just 15. I played this song over and over. Always makes me think of him.
I recently heard Lzzy Hale name him top ten rock vocalists of all time. Said he used a vocal layering technique without equipment and he is the only vocalists she knew of who ever did.
Love watching your reactions. It's fun to see Burch, who may be close to my age (60), have Alexis react to music that my generation grew up with. You give a Dad/Daughter vibe and there's something really cool about that. Look forward to the next video.
My first concert ever was Cinderella (Night Songs album) opening up for Bon Jovi (Slippery When Wet). Never looked back. Tom's voice was just as raw live.
Love your videos. At first I thought you were related, you have such good chemistry. I enjoy your commentary and emotions. I'm 59, the older rock videos are so nice to see again. I seen them in concert when they were an opening band, again about 10 years ago with Fred Corey as the drummer. I went to school with him in New York.
Terrific reaction and commentary. Terrific/impressive vocals in this song for sure. Heartbreak Station is my favorite from them. I would like to see your reactions of "Shelter Me" as well. A real fun song ;)

One of the best concerts that I've ever been to. When it comes to experiencing a studio quality performance live. I've seen lots of Metal bands live in my time. And, no kidding! My top three are... AC/DC, Van Hagar, Cinderella. In that order. Of course this concert was before Tom blew out his voice. He sounded exactly like he did on the albums.

Love your reactions....just discovered you a couple of days ago and I cant stop watching Burch spreading the good 80s music and the vibes of all those bands that made my teenage days great back in those days...Hope you can react to bands like Europe and some new ones like Lord of the lost!!! Greetings from Tenerife, Canary Islands.
Great song off a great album. . I love this jam. . Cool video too. . Great guitar work and guitar solo. . This whole album kicks ass. . Saw this album tour twice. . Met them too. . Signed my CD 💿. . 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
This is one of the great ballads of the 80s, along with Every Rose, and Sweet Child are the Top 3 of the 80s. Oh, and we'll throw in Home Sweet Home by Motley in there as well. 😉
@@TheEnnisfan Shout Out to a few other kick-azz ballads from the 80's! "I Remember You, Skid Row" "Love Song, Tesla" "Heaven, Warrant" "Fly To The Angels, Slaughter" "Save Your Love, Great White" "To Be With You, Mr. Big" "Burning Heart, Vandenberg" & "Alone Again, Dokken" just a reminder in case you forgot. Cue um' up, drop the needle & kick out the jams & enjoy the music, ya dig? 🤘😜🤘 +Peace, Funk & Rock n' Roll 4 Your Soul My Friend+
Cinderella was such an underrated band, their album long cold winter was so good, their blues influence could really be heard. The hair metal era will never get the respect that was due and this band especially deserves that recognition.
Great choice of artist, and of song... This song nearly puts me in tears every time, so much personal relatable history here :) Nobody's Fool is a close second (same relationship, in fact!)

@JonathanJHovde not sure what burch's marital status has to do with it, but Thanks for clarification
You guys should do Cinderella's Nobody's fool. Keifer's register changes during that song are legendary!
Absolutely...... the song that got me into Cinderellq
plus there's a story inside the video clip, and those two quirky girls that showed up everywhere
@@sandipchakrabarty9656me too! Best song, still loves it 😎
One of my favorites
Agree, but do the live in Moscow version
Coming Home really shows his range.I’m sure Alexis would love it!!!
That really is a great vocal.
Cinderella is one of my all time favorites. The bluesy guitar playing in long cold winter brings chills to me everytime.
Yes one of my favorites from long cold winter is bad seamstress blues
Gypsy Rose will never lessen. Classic.
That whole album is fire!
THANK YOU guys, Cinderellla is one of my favorite bands

Heartbreak Station, Shake Me, Somebody Save Me, Gypsy Road, Coming Home, Bad Seamstress Blues. All great songs.
Gypsy Road has one of the best and most recognizable opening riffs ever. Such a great song.
I was in High School when this song came out, I saw them in concert in Montgomery, Alabama. it was great.
