So good to see it back in the air. You made the repair look easy. Actually now that I think on it, it may be easier working on big planes vs small ones. Kind hard to get your hands inside the fuel compartments of the 40-60 size. Love the Lazer.
    Edited for spelling.

hehe About 1980 +- a year or so, I was flying. I did a steep dive with the intent of pulling out and doing a low, fast pass down the runway. But I did not pull up in time. The airplane scraped the pavement on the entry way, the metal landing gear went sliding along the ground, the engine stopped, and the airplane bounced about 25 ft into the air. (Tail dragger style plane.) "Well, it seems to be flying," so I did a 360 to loose enough altitude and slid her onto our grass strip. Damage? Broke the screws holding the metal landing gear, broke the prop, and put a couple scratches on the bottom. Some screws, a prop and a little 5 minute epoxy to seal up the scratches and she was back in the air within an hour. It had a .40 glow engine. I guess they call that "nitro" these days.

I love repairing my foamies. I have a small 50mm edf f16 belly lander that flies about 90 mph on 4s. Occasionally ill come in too hot for a landing and something like the anti-missile rails on the wings or the nose cone will break off, the bottom gets torn up, or something like that. A bit of glue, some lightweight spackle, a bit of finish sanding and some paint, and you cant tell anything ever broke. Funny to watch people who dont know about rc planes see the plane that was in 3 pieces looking as tho nothing ever happened to it. (Note: that f16 is like 100 bucks for a pnp kit when i got it, i wouldnt be so excited about repairing my eflite 70mm f16 lol)

Sir Martin...Bloody opposed to hours of epoxy, parts, reconstruction, and on...we see that maneuvering as a liability...not so in performing full size aircraft maneuvering and clearly much more so...thus we fly them as models, albeit realistically, and much more often...(almost comparative to control line/RC 'combat'destruction)...life can be really short...spend our time well..Cheers! Put it on floats and fly off water, it's MUCH softer (usually) even tail touches do nothing to the covering but wet it a little......it would give you a whole new realm of possibilities too, you could be the FIRST to do the submarine pull out, sink it and fly out from 2 foot underwater....that will test the vertability of your GP123, if it can lift the airframe and 10lbs of water, it's a good engine.....😜
