  • Jase Dussia: IGNORING THE LAWS OF PHYSICS !
Seriously, this guy has zero respect for the laws of physics! Any other RC pilot understands the basic concepts of gravity and lift and turbulence etc and stays within them...but not Jase. He just ignores those limitations and puts his airframe through unreal torture...all for the appreciation of the Weston Park International Model Show crowd. Breathtaking stuff !
Apologies for any gasps, laughing and gibbering comments I make during this video but there are rare moments when I can't actually believe what I am watching.
Filmed by Dom Mitchell for the 'Essential RC' RUclips channel using the Panasonic AG-UX180 Pro 4K camcorder at Weston Park International Model Show

Well... yeah. I mean, I feel a bit sorry for the guy. I had a free-flight model just like that. It was ALL OVER THE PLACE. Spent ages trimming it and mucking about with extra tabs and lolly sticks and side-thrust, but it was always a pain.
So I sympathise with you Jase. Don't give up, mate. More incidence under the leading edge and a bit more weight in the nose and I'm sure you'll iron out that nasty twitchiness. Straight and level from the hand-launch... About 1/16" on the rudder tab... Gentle left-hand circuits... No problem.
Of course I'm kidding. This is one of the most remarkable 3-D displays I've seen. I'd be very interested to know if it's all flown 'on the sticks' or if things like the constantly alternating top-rudder in the rolling circles (etc) are set up on the radio. [Please note that I don't mean that as a snide insult or a criticism of his astonishing flying ability - I just find it amazing that he can exit a high-speed tumbling, rolling, just-about-to-stall manoeuvre perfectly level every time. Maybe I need some more lolly sticks.]

really awesome! to be breathless throughout the performance.
it would be nice, for a layman like me, to have in a picture box, the synchronized images of the movements of the joysticks of the transmitter: I can't even remotely think of what frantic work there could be from the pilot during a 3D flight of this kind .
Surely finding a pilot of this caliber who is willing to be filmed in this way will be difficult but perhaps with an actioncam fixed to the transmitter near the antenna ... it could be a not too invasive way to get this footage
In all cases, thank you for these fabulous images, Dom!
P.S. during the fast tonneaux your camera didn't follow the wings !!! the angular speed is really impressive

He comes to an RC airpark about a mile away from my house in Saranac Michigan. You can always tell when he's there by the sound of the engine. Just listen for the high speed aileron roll....He's the only I've ever heard doing one there.

i am most impressed with the rolls and moving the direction he wants... every single input to the sticks that has to take, every second.. is beyond belief.. He violates those laws of physics.. he must be some sort of machine. i wonder if he sees the plane flying in slow motion, and stops time for us and then it is just that easy.

he’s not ignoring the laws of physics he’s simply bending them to his will
