    This piece is an absolute masterpiece. The more i dig into the score the more i see how incredibly clever Debussy was with his compositions.

    For me, Paul has it.

    Si j'étais capable de bien jouer du piano, je commencerais par apprendre ce chef d'oeuvre de Claude de France, comme il se nommait lui-même. J'ai connu des Français (dans ma propre famille) qui n'aimaient pas Debussy. Moi, je suis transporté par cette musique. Incroyable comment ces harmonies célestes nous élèvent au dessus de nous mêmes, de nos misérables vies...Du coup, demain je vais à la messe de 11h00. Carrément.

    Thank you Paul for reuploading. I can't get over the fact how beautifully you play it. The wristbands won't have any influence on people claiming your video, as RUclips only decides by the audio. There isn't really much you can do because this system is hugely flawed. Why can someone claim your video automatically within seconds, but why do you have to manually appeal with low chance of success? As a meager comfort: You're not the only RUclips channel this happens to.
    Please keep doing what you're doing and stay an inspiration for so many people. Thanks again Paul!

    • @mudkip_btw
      @mudkip_btw 5 лет назад

      How are people claiming it over audio if Paul is the only one playing with a harmonic pedal? The copyright claim system is broken... People can lay claim to almost anything and stop any revenue to the rightful person.

    • @smikkelbeer6352
      @smikkelbeer6352 5 лет назад +8

      @@mudkip_btw It works by detecting melodies rather than the exact same sound. It's works quite well on pop music, but for classical music it's absolute garbage.

    • @annaroseannadanna1
      @annaroseannadanna1 5 лет назад

      I have no clue how any of it works but...can’t he put a watermark or logo in bottom corner of vids? Seems like I’ve seen others do this.

    • @hoblogbicycling
      @hoblogbicycling 5 лет назад +1

      @@annaroseannadanna1 I've been told that the melody in a video is "recognized" by software. No person looking at the video involved. So, I would expect that a watermark (or a wristband for that matter) won't prevent the software from claiming the video by its melody - it may however help in the dispute process.

    • @rupe82
      @rupe82 5 лет назад

      RUclips's content id system automatically detects the audio in video as soon as it is uploaded. His last video was manually claimed, i.e. done by a person. The wristband may protect against manual claims although it's unlikely.

    Content ID self-immolates when it comes to Classical music; I can see where the difficulty arises, but I wish they'd fix it. I often get "from 0.15-0.48 there's a match with Ronnie the generic pianist" as if I've roguishly opted to splice a snippet of their recording into mine... Incredibly frustrating.

    I'm listening to this on my phone in the background, and my husband is a room away. "Is this 'The Sound of Music'?" he calls. I tune back in to focus on the music and realize what he means. There's a section that sounds a bit like the line that goes "for a thousand years."

    Hi Paul, this is a magnificent performance, played with the great emotion and mastery you are known for. This is a wonderful version. The overhead view is perfect for the student and very kind of you to do it. It's a real shame what is happening at YT with the copyright. I sure hope they get their act together on that as it has affected many. Thanks for reposting this. It's been quite awhile since we have corresponded and really hope you and the whole family are well, to include your elephant family, too of course! :-) All the best, ~Jackie

    Merci pour cet enregistrement; très beau comme toujours, bravo. Je voudrais juste signaler des erreurs dans la partition qui défile : mesure 5 , ce n'est pas un triolet de croches mais un triolet de noires, sinon il manquerait un temps dans cette mesure. Idem mesure 21, encore un triolet de noires, et non 2 croches + une noire pour les deux premiers temps. etc ... (Sorry I'm not good enough in english to explain the problem in this language)

    Enjoyed and a thumbs up from me. I can understand RUclips being caught in genuine disputes about copyright. I only hope they have some sort of register where they can log false claims. Maybe three false claims and you are struck out. The villains will come back with another identity of course but in the meantime you and RUclips have put a handbrake (of some efficacy) on these scumbags.
    I think the wristband is a good idea as it identifies you and should speed up the copyright dispute process.
