Wow, Jim! That was great! I couldnt imaging picking a lock like that with 6 rows and 20 pins! Let along trying to figure out where all those pins went after the disaster! Oh, man!

Jesus… my heart broke for you. It’s scary that you can get to a level where you burn hundreds of dollars of lock in seconds. It’s terrifying.

LOL, all good. Reassembled and working flawlessly. Just took a good hour or so of trial and error.

Such a relaxing hobby sometimes lol

Takes longer to reassemble than pick.

That’s an awesome job. I get so frustrated sometimes on a simple lock. A lock like that would warp my mind. And putting that mess together again shows your unbelievable skill. Good job

@@dascue777 they’re usually much easier to reassemble and gut when they have bible covers. This one gets driver pins in the empty chambers and makes it much more difficult. I took a pic of the guts in the proper order for reference in case this happened lol.

LOL yup. I do have a pic of the guts for reference so i can match the key pins up. Thankfully the drivers are all in the right spots already.

Tremendous skill , & patience , that has to be a black belt lock , does anyone know if the " black belt" level have even higher degrees ? But really fantastic picking , bye moe

Thanks. Black belt locks are ranked from black belt 1 to black belt 5. This is currently unranked but would likely be either bb1 or bb2.
Black belts also have the “Dan System” that goes from 1st dan which is the initial black belt to 20th dan, it’s basically just a game to keep black belts picking and interacting with the community. Each lock at blue belt and above is worth a certain amount of points, the required points and two black belt locks per dan are required to progress. There are also bonus points for first recorded pick of a lock, picking a notably unpicked lock, tool making, and other disciplines that help the community by keeping experienced pickers involved and looking for new locks and ideas.

@@shadowshadow2485 nice, green and blue locks are great lock to practice and refine the fundamentals. I use my phone to make videos, nothing fancy needed. Just focus on enjoying the hobby, belts are just internet flair.
