Struggling to master those tricky isolations I mentioned in this video? You're in luck! I'm offering my Poi Isolations course for 50% off when you use the code "isolate" at learn.drexfactor.com/p/poi-isolations
I'm excited for you! What kind of poi did you choose? I started back in April and feel like I'm already at an intermediate level. Drex is an amazing teacher, I learned 100% through online and RUclips instead of someone teaching me in person and I couldn't have done it without this channel
I was at a faire years ago and one of the nights I was there, my uncle gave me a set of glow in the dark poi to play with. I quickly caught on to the idea and began spinning them around as I walked around the fairegrounds. At one point a little kid passed me right as I felt like I was losing control but somehow I didn't and all I heard was "WOOOAAAHHH!" I'm so jealous of that kid because I have no idea what I did or how to replicate it. Anyway, your vid helped inspire me to get another poi set and practice again. Maybe I'll figure it out along the way!
I feel confident in learning the couple out of the first 4 i have not mastered. The flower is the hardest that you mentioned to get to a level of profficiency. Im somewhat onto the rest pretty good. However ISOLATIONS i just cant seem tk wrap my head around the timing. I underatand it perfectly its just putting it into effect, yet its SO impactful to a spin
I wana see you do all your crazy tricks but with actual fire poi! Would be so cool. I spin and practice with fire poi only (used to do glow) but the things you can do would be amazing with fire
Drex!!! Most of these moves seem to need weighted poi. I normally spin light weight LED poi. Stall s are extremely difficult. And what in your opinion is the best way to hold poi? I use the loop around 2 fingers instead of the ball end.

Caps? Huh? I still don't even understand what I'm looking at, much less understand why it would make poi fun enough to spend time doing them. It's like vitamin B16. Do I really need it? How do I fit it into a realistic diet. Maybe caps are more like flossing. Dr.Drex has the truth to back his suggestion but despite my actual need for a root canal, I really can't see sticking my hands in my mouth with string stretched between them. Great video. Sound advice. Keep up the Good Work.
They're also fantastic in duo or group performances. Tunnels with 2 or more ppl each doing a different cap can make for some pretty awe inspiring results, especially in slow mo vids, fast shutter photos. So many uses for caps.

5 > Crossers
4 > BTB weaves
3> top stalls
2> caps
1> isolations
;)
I feel like top stalls and btb weaves are hardest

They can be quite useful mostly as a transitional trick in my experience
