your diligence and patience paid off in getting the FIRST shots of that snake..I am guessing your crew had to wait and hope for a long time in the respective areas....thank you
Love this video definitely one of my favorites and can’t wait to take my trip to Africa. Keep up the great work and be safe out there. I wish you the best and hope you have an amazing day and a wonderful week 🙋♂️✌️
I'm watching this with one of my reptile friends. She doesn't appreciate it but I do! (On a serious note, I wonder if a king snake of some sort would have a reaction to other snakes on video)
Обожаю вас!!! Спасибо вам большое. With all the stuff happening in the world this is so great to get my mind off the horrible things and your videos are getting so good. I will share with everyone I know. Thank you, Спасибо, Gracias, and love/peace
The Eastern Snake Eater (Polemon christyi) is the only one species listed for Kenya in Rep.Database. Polemon graueri & P. fulvicollis sspec. listed (not only) for Uganda ; maybe both species lives in adjacent areas of Kenya. Lamprophis fuliginosus meanwhile changed to the earlier name Boaedon fuliginosus! There is really little known about some species. btw..many years ago I had a beautiful Atheris chlorechis with lightblue blotches; it was a very aggressive snake. Another snake eater species (living in Kenya too) is the Cape File Snake (now: Limaformosa capensis; formerly Gonionotophis c. & Mehelya capensis). It's widely distributed in Africa. Another great clip, congratulations!
Yes, P. graueri and P. fulvicollis are recorded from Uganda, but from areas bordering with Democratic Republic of Congo, about 1000 km from where we found our Polemon in Kenya. Wow, there are so many changes in taxonomy these days. Thanks a lot for watching!
That African rock python is beautiful! This one is definitely P. Sebae, however, Kenya also does have Python Natalensis, the Southern African python. They even have naturally occuring hybrids of the two! One of the rare places you can see pythons hybridize in nature. Ive never been to Kenya myself, but i have seen videos of a couple of hybrids filmed in Kenya where their ranges overlap. The side of their face looks a bit different from either parent species. I also keep Python Sebae as a pet, they are my all time favorite species of snake. Its a shame they have such a bad reputation. I have no more difficulty working with my African rock python than any other large python. Mine doesnt even strike her rabbits. She waits for me to put them down and then slowly eats it without even striking at all. Shes absurdly gentle. Shes very strong and heavy, but gentle. its kind of weird how strong and dense they are even compared to burms and retics of similar size. Just more solid i guess. Firmer to the touch too.
Thank you for watching. There are at least 2 cases of deaths after a bite of a Green bush viper. In general, these snakes are quite small and there is a big chance to survive the bite with antivenom.
It is not easy to find snakes! They are afraid of people. We travel around the world and look for snakes during days and nights. You need to look in good habitats and walk a lot after the darkness. We hope that you will get lucky in the future!
The quality and skill in production on these is 10/10.
Super professional content through the lens of people that love reptiles.

That’s a variable Bush Viper. Possibly Broadleyi. Green Bush Vipers are Atheris Chlorechis.
A. chlorechis is called Western bush viper. A. squamigera is called either Variable or Green bush viper.

Me: I wanna hold the green skek
Narrator: this viper’s bite is responsible for some human deaths
Me: oooh I just wave then, no touchy snek
Yes, with some snakes it is better no touchy touchy :D
Great videos. You should also let us know if a given snake is venomous or not.
Thank you very much for watching! Only the Green bush viper has front fangs and it is dangerous for a human.

Thank you for watching. There are at least 2 cases of deaths after a bite of a Green bush viper. In general, these snakes are quite small and there is a big chance to survive the bite with antivenom.
Wow, I have been to 8 African countries & I have never seen a snake! How is this possible? I spent over a week in Kenya!
It is not easy to find snakes! They are afraid of people. We travel around the world and look for snakes during days and nights. You need to look in good habitats and walk a lot after the darkness. We hope that you will get lucky in the future!
Have you found any Kenyan sand boas in the wild?
Unfortunately not.

Are the snake eaters venom dangerous to humans ?
Not much is known about them, but their venom should not be dangerous for humans.
