You might not have used the word "dopamine" once, but you never played the sound once either. How dare you edge us in such a way.
He also never got into Pyro fights with the Loose Cannon. This weapon is the best grenade launcher, for dealing with Mr. M2. The adjustably-short range makes it so that, even _if_ the Pyro airblasts your attack, he can still wind up getting donked backwards. Plus, even if you're going against someone who can airblast your attacks with inhumanly perfect precision, you can just Cannon Jump out of their range before they even get close, without risking the sanctity of any of your stickies.

I don't know how others feel but getting a random crit feels unsatisfactory. You basically got get a free kill without any of the effort which made a kill satisfying

Things that feel undeserved just don’t seem fun like a random crit or a body shot on sniper or sniper as a whole
I mean hitting a market garden/back stab feels both more satisfying to do and fair to receive. Then just randomly doing 3 times the damage.
I actually just feel bad for getting random crits especially if it's a Crocket/crit grenade it feels cheap and undeserved. In my opinion anyways

Some more insight from an experienced cannon hybrid-knight player:
-You can still jump on cannonballs to grenade jump like with any other primary. This lets you overload jump in mid-air to achieve crazy mobility. ...Provided you have a good medic.
-Shield resistances do not reduce self-damage. Charge n' Targe is not necessarily the only pick, as a result
-If you time your overload right, you can charge an enemy, deal charge damage, and then blast off into outer space dealing additional area damage and carrying you to safety.
-If you REALLY time your charge right, you can shield bash someone INTO a double-donk, at close enough range that you can still explosive jump away from the encounter. Paired with the splendid screen, this is Demoman's highest burst damage outside of a full sticky trap. (You can get extra shield damage with the Eyelander, but this playstyle is self-endangering enough as-is.)
-My loadout of choice is Cannon/Turner/Claidheamhmor, but I do swap around quite often. Half-Zatoichi with this is kinda busted.

When using it, I don't think about everything, it's more of a feeling. Like "I know not the numbers, but this should work."
Calculating numbers is for nerds, if you want to get good and have fun at the same time you just learn the vibes.
Loose cannon is basically a Scorch shot that actually takes skill to use and is fun.
Learning to jump with this thing is the most unexpected thing for the enemy. Quite literally a loose cannon in all ways of the word.
I wouldn't count knockback as movement inhibition. Big difference between "I got pushed at a high speed away from the enemy, but I can still strafe or charge or even explosion jump with good timing" and "My movement keys are decorative for the next 3 seconds"
You're completely right about how the knockback works with the loose cannon and why it seems like it stuns on headshots! When I was programming the loose cannon into minecraft the cannonball had to look towards the players feet when calculating the knockback trajectory in order to replicate the effect. I'm sorry its just so nice to see all the weird stuff I know about this silly weapon being shown!

imo, my favourite mechanic of the loose cannon is that instead of shooting your projectile up, you can shoot the floor and the granade will bounce up, often being a more simple strategy

Demoman in general at least does 100 damage to the people in your face instead of 50.
I would also like to point out that Loose Cannon kills from point-blank can avoid self-damage because the cannonball will gib the enemy and then continue moving away from you. When I used to use the Loose Cannon regularly, this aspect saved me several times. At the very least it will still knock the enemy away, and good players can use that to their advantage, either by doing what Fish said by having a prepared sticky trap, or by following up with another shot from the cannon.
Fish: there is no other game that let's you run around with a cannon!

Ah, the Loose Cannon. I was so happy to unlock it, immediately played with it, got kills, loved it -- felt like such a breath of fresh air compared to pills. I was shocked when I went to check builds for it and everyone was like "yo, this weapon trash" and I'm all like "?!?"

The loose cannon is like the beggar. It so different and weird to use a lot of time and can be difficult to use, but God damn, it is so fun and be funny with it.
Also despite being first advivste for mvm with the vaccintor and rescue ranger, it probably the worse launcher due to the knock back screwing over your sniper and very rare time spy trying to giant slay. Also you can screw yourself for the sticky traps

The Double Donk of the loose cannon feels great, second only to the pure euphoria of blessing those uninitiated in the ways of the Mighty Righteous Bison.

Using the stock is like making an orange juice in a juice press. Using the LC is like making slightly more orange juice using your hands and forehead while tightrope walking and on fire.
There’s definitely a sweet spot, right at its 1 second detonation timer.
All demo primaries have one, but this one’s sweet spot is the best not just for fun, but for damage too.
Usually you have to charge a shot to get double donk, but if you just tap fire it then it has the same fire rate as the other launchers.
Haven't watched the video yet but if this isnt 14 minutes of explaining why the double donk sound is orgasmic i will be disappointed

A primary you can use to pseudo-sticky jump automatically makes it good. I get to wear a shield and keep the vertical mobility.
I main the loose cannon because it's easier for me to land hits with it than it is to land pipe shots

I remember getting a kill with the loose cannon by banking a cannon shot off a wall, with me below a ledge by accident and I feel that that was a really cool moment for me.
I used to demo main a long time ago, loose cannon was my primary, it's a banger. Not too long after loose cannon came out it got nerfed. If you weren't aware, the knock back feature of this weapon used to be WAY stronger. I remember pushing a whole crowd of players off of the second to last point on upward, at the spiral wooden structure. The reactions were always just as funny as the kills.
well when i played tf2 and did not use medic i used demo, i was mostly playing loch n' load and the bat straight outta hell, but the loose cannon was one of favorite weapons to use, and this video explains it well! If you were wondering how to make a baked potato
Heat oven to 450°F. Yep, you read the temperature right. The oven needs to be extra hot, so that the potato skins will crisp up quickly.
Prepare your baking sheet. If you happen to own a wire cooling rack, I highly recommend placing one on top of a baking sheet, so that the potatoes can cook evenly on all sides. Or if you don’t own a wire rack, you can either place the potatoes directly on the oven racks (with a baking sheet below, to catch any drips) or you can just bake the potatoes on a foil-lined (or parchment-lined, at your own risk) baking sheet.
Poke your potato all over with a fork. Because no one wants to deal with exploding potatoes. ;)
First bake. My best advice for how long to bake a potato - in two rounds! For the first round, bake for about 25 minutes, until the skin starts to feel dry and slightly wrinkly.
Brush the potato with melted butter (or oil). Next, carefully remove the potato from the oven. Use a pastry brush to brush the potato with melted butter (or oil) evenly on all sides. Sprinkle the potato with a generous pinch of Kosher salt. (I like mine fairly coarse so that you get a bit of a crunch.) Then place the potato back on the baking sheet, opposite side up, so that the potato can cook evenly on both sides.
Second bake. Bake for an additional 20 minutes. Then very carefully, use an oven mitt to squeeze the potato (it will be hot) to check for doneness. If the insides are nice and soft and give under pressure, remove the potato from the oven. Otherwise, continue cooking in 5-minute increments until the potato is ready to go. Cooking time will vary depending on the size of the potatoes, but on average, they typically take 45-55 minutes to cook.
Cut, squeeze, fluff, season and serve! Finally, slice the potato open lengthwise with a paring knife, give it a good squeeze to open it up, fluff the insides with a fork, add your favorite seasonings or toppings. Then a perfectly crispy-on-the-outside, soft-and-fluffy-on-the-inside, and oh-so-delicious baked potato will now be yours to enjoy!

I like the cannonballs the most becuase of the modicum of control DEMOMAN gets when they engage Pyro's with that fuse time. Won't work all times, but it will for once keep the pyro on their toes.

You forgot to talk about one thing that Lazy also mentioned. While charging the weapon, you can't spend time reloading, which reduces the overall shots per minute you can throw out.

my favorite loadout is the Loose Cannon, Sticky Jumper and Scottish Handshake.
2Fort and Hightower snipers will literally switch to engineer and pyro JUST to slow my killstreaks down, and then i just switch the cannon for the iron bomber and ruin their plans a second time, and im really bad at normal pipes, but somehow decent at iron bomber/cannonballs.

The most important distinction with the Cannon's knockback is that at no point is air mobility restricted. It isn't a movement restriction mechanic. It's what airblast is supposed to be.
I still miss the 173 damage 2 second cannon.
I'll say this, the loose cannon works very well with the quicky launcher because if you are in a pinch with a scout, or you run out of ammo, you can use the faster charge time to catch them. I really think this combo is very underrated.
The LC is just like TF2. Unpredictable, Fun, gets lucky, works the best whenever it feels like it.
