Definitely one of my favorite-CLUTCH songs!! It was the morning of All Saint's Day, ninety-eight When that old blind dog started roaming around the graveyard Wouldn't have bothered me so much Were he not walking on his hind legs and smoking cigars Recite my lineage and genealogy You've got to know your history, son of Virginia Everybody's in the church believing they're a sinner And looking for a sign from the true son of Virginia When the storm blew over we made our way,,- the old hay wain to infiltrate the sarcophagus By the dim light of a narrow window we saw The God's honest truth staring right back at us Recite your lineage and genealogy You've got to know your history, son of Virginia Everybody's in the church believing they're a sinner And looking for a sign from the true son of Virginia Stare into the embers on the first of November And remember you were born a true son of Virginia I was thrown to the ground as my world broke asunder Truly we are living in an age of wonder Truly we are living in an age of wonder It was the morning of All Saint's Day, ninety-eight When that old blind dog started calling me associate Wouldn't have bothered me so much were it not for the fact That was the truth of it Recite our lineage and genealogy You've got to know your history Son of Virginia Stare into the embers on the first of November And remember you were born a true son of Virginia I was thrown to the ground as my world broke asunder Truly we are living in an age of wonder I wept like a child as the son rose above her Truly we are living in an age of wonder Truly we are living in an age of wonder You'll forgive me if I seem somewhat vexed by your statement However, um, if that is the way you recall it happening You go ahead and you put your name there at the bottom And, uh, thank you for your time You have a good night, now
Wow. I only watch live performances just to see members of bands live, since actual quality of sound, musical performance and singing (especially singing) is usually far below their respective recorded versions. But man, this gets as close to a recorded track as possible.

I play (& sing) & its not (kinda like walking & chewing gum.) I doubt he has a hard time playing guitar Its just that we've all seen gutair players, they're a dime a dozen. Vocalists like Neil are RARE, and the way he works the crowd into a frenzy is amazing, maybe some of us feel the guitar detracts a bit from it.
Ok..... thanks for the heads up All I really ment is when he started playing live he just kinda stood there stiff and now it seen like hes more into it (moves around ect.) like hes having more fun with it but I don't play and wish I could? I give people that play guitar with the highest respect because it might be easy for you and other but for ones that cant "like me" SUCK so keep playing and keep ROCK alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope JP is recognized as one of the best drummers ever in 20 yrs
Frank Costanza So true. Hell, these guys are absolute masters of their crafts.

Frank Costanza totally agree
Anyone who has ever seen them live will agree. This guy is Bonham v2.
Dude is such a beast live, I love him.
One of my life goals is to blast this song from the speakers of a '67 GTO while ripping down a deserted highway somewhere.

It was the morning of All Saint's Day, ninety-eight
When that old blind dog started roaming around the graveyard
Wouldn't have bothered me so much
Were he not walking on his hind legs and smoking cigars
Recite my lineage and genealogy
You've got to know your history, son of Virginia
Everybody's in the church believing they're a sinner
And looking for a sign from the true son of Virginia
When the storm blew over we made our way,,-
the old hay wain to infiltrate the sarcophagus
By the dim light of a narrow window we saw
The God's honest truth staring right back at us
Recite your lineage and genealogy
You've got to know your history, son of Virginia
Everybody's in the church believing they're a sinner
And looking for a sign from the true son of Virginia
Stare into the embers on the first of November
And remember you were born a true son of Virginia
I was thrown to the ground as my world broke asunder
Truly we are living in an age of wonder
Truly we are living in an age of wonder

Wouldn't have bothered me so much were it not for the fact
That was the truth of it

Clutch is one of the few bands that I almost always enjoy the live version of their music to their studio recordings.
The song I play when someone is on the fence about Clutch. Then I slowly feed them the letric hobo gospel so now you know.
@@gonoannowhere hell yeah
I jump straight into Escape From The Prison Planet with first-timers.
When I (an old man) grow up, I want a legendary beard and voice like Neil Fallon.
Addicted to this song

It's just pure truth and rock n roll at its core
Neil Fallon is GOD!
Their personality and lyrics are equally as valuable as their sound, and that sound is boss.
Thank you very much! Cheers!
These guys are so fucking good people......realize it!!!!

Awesome. Thanks
Mr. Fallon makes it look so easy, it's almost like he's lip syncing. But I've seen these gentleman to many times to think he would do that!
Neil's dad was Lemmy
I ain't no Virginian, but fuck, this is gold.
Portsmouth VA
Launch Brothers , Hell has become US
What's with the wax crowd?
I like Neil jumping around singing better!!!!!! he looks like he has a hard time playing guitar like it hard? still god song!!
There's some songs where neil plays guitar and it probably isn't too hard for him he's a pretty good guitarist too
Playing guitar AND singing at the same time is fucking hard. But he's awesome at it!

откуда такая хорошая запись?
True son of Virginia is Jesus Christ ..
DoobieDarrin you can believe that if you want. I'm personally not religious.
TardisPilot 2004 I'm not either..
Neil Fallon was born in Portsmouth Virginia, imaginary friends for adults need not apply.
this is a horrible sound quality
