To me NHL has the healthiest salary structure, easy to track production of players, hard salary cap where teams have to pay 90% minimum of the cap, and what you end up with is the best player's make the most money, and it trickles down from there.

Yes his record stink, but he was leading the league in yardage, if you don’t pay him now, and he goes this season and put up monster numbers, what will you do when he demand 60 or 65. Dak is about to get paid, not because he knows how to play it is due to what the market ask, and do you want to start over when you are looking towards a goal (SuperBowl) with a lot of upside. Tia will be worth every penny and more.

Dom is soooo right. You'll hurt the entire teams growth if you just throw away a above average QB. Nobody does that in good organizations. Cheifs, Eagles, Ravens, 49ers, Rams, on and on. They all signed a dude and kept drafting and looking for a better guy to fit into a team that was getting better. Not the Panthers model.

Because no one who is being paid top money has a 1-6 record vs good teams. You pay guys like that because they can be THE guy....and this is his ceiling btw. He has the best WR in the game...another WR1 playing as the 2 and still cant beat good teams....y'know...the thing you eventually have to do if you want to win a superbowl.
And now the jets will ALSO be a good team he has to beat. His offense is loaded...yet he can't beat anyone worth bragging about...

Currently, both the packers & fins are taking a big risk with tua & love, signing them to huge contracts. Love doesn't have as much experience most QBs with similar contracts & benefited from a rookie season (beginners/rookie luck is a thing) when he could completely fall off the next. It happens more often than you think. Tua, with the team he's had hasn't had the best of luck & the injuries he sustained (partially due to the fins) could be a problem in the future. & no, we didn't forget the favorable position Mahomes went to. Most just blantly ignore it, try to make the situation he's in worst than what it actually is. Chiefs are one of the best teams in the league with out Mahomes & Reid. With them, they are the best team in the league. No way around that.

The fact that yall want to ignore the fact that Tua CANT beat good teams is hilarious. You CANT ignore the division/conference he is in. How do you win a Super Bowl if you literally can't beat good teams? Paying him was a horrible decision and the dolphins won't go anywhere for the next 5 years now.
