my father n law was in Law enforcement and depended on his MP5 on high risk calls and I cant thank HK enough, it brought him home every night. Hes long since passed, but He didn't stay on the department long after they switched to the AR-15. his reasons was simple. You don't know the backstop and whats behind the suspect or the barrier, hiding from danger. The MP5 minimized that risk.
PLEASE MAKE A BRACE FOR THIS GUN!
Yeah you gotta modify hk ones apparently
@@thecoolnerdplaysvr5674 What are you talking about? Hk ones?

Alot of u guys are bringing down this gun its a fun little range toy that i can shoot for practically nothing i got 1400 rounds for 100$ i got the pistol one i have a optic on it and brace ready to install any time just decided to keep it off because it looks better to me its great for people that want a old school HK slap and not come out of pocket 2,500$-3,000$ if the gun is not for u then move along to the next guns plenty out there
Really fun to shoot. Love mine 👍🏽
Zinc alloy receiver … no thanks
Previously bought the Walther MP5 A5 and now picked up the HK MP5 SD6 since they are newly available. Want to get the MP5 pistol and know that there are a few out there, but may have to save my pennies to get another toy. To me, both the earlier Walther Umarex model and the recent HK offerings are solidly built and totally rock the cool factor. Since my budget will likely never, ever allow for a real MP5, these will have to do.
Aren't the new ones built by Umarex as well?
@@bsmithhammer yes, its printed right on the upper receiver.
@@urbankyng6467 Thanks. Hence my point.
@@bsmithhammer @Urban Kyng - The quality on the two new items is near what it was on the previous Walther Umarex iterations. The only thing to note is the finish is very so minorly better on the earlier versions. But it's very minor from what I can see. Internally, I believe it's all the same.
@@toolman67 Not quite: The internal trigger housing on the new release is polymer. I understand this gives the selector a less positive feel, but I don’t have one of the older ones to compare it to.
*NOTE* New Issue with both pistol and rifle mp5s from 2021. The charging handle seems to get STUCK and becomes a really hard PULL every few charges. I am wondering how long before both pistol and rifle charging handles break. Odd that both have the same hard pull. My guess is a factory defect in both models. Its almost like a round is stuck in the guns, yet there is no round in the gun. Time will tell...
Pulled a brand new one from HK out of the box today and played with it. Seemed fine. We got 5 this round so ill check all of them
@@phoenixnfa keep pulling the charging handle with the mag out. Pull the trigger and after a full pull you will see it. Seems the trigger is hard to reset every few pulls
No charging handle problems with mine, just put 200 rounds on it. I will update after 1000+ rounds
I can reproduce this. Curiously, if I drop the hammer per the instructions and then try to pull the charging handle with my LEFT hand it won’t move. However, if I pull the charging handle with my RIGHT hand it functions normally. I did this numerous times and it’s consistent. It’s really bizarre and I have no explanation for it.
@@joelargumedo94 How is the 2yr mark treating ya?
Got one sold out everywhere
Whats next? MP7 in .22LR?
I wish they'd make a more realistic/original looking version. The latest airsoft models are nearly identical to the real MP5 now. It's missing that glossy coating/sheen on the metal and some parts just look off. Still glad they offer them for a reasonable price though!
Pretty cool! Any chance to get it legal for sport shooting in Germany?
Yes please
Oh wow! Take that ammo shortage! I can now afford to shoot!
Said no H&K customer ever
Swear to god that's something a borderlands weapons manufacturer would say
Looks like a great gun for hikers
❤❤❤..yeah..Galil..,Ak47..but HK... Rules,!❤😂🥰💖
I just got one, can't wait to shoot it
😁
Cuanto sale con silenciador ,viene incluido?.En dolares cuanto cuesta gracias.
Shut up and take my money!!!
*NOTE* To people wanting to know. Both Pistol and Rifle DO NOT take anything from real HK models to put on these guns. You cannot put real HK parts on these guys. Both models seem to be a notch smaller so you cannot use anything real on these. Even optic mounts dont fit these models. Kinda sad that you cant do anything to these. I own both.
Well that's a pisser. I guess it's spray & pray then. More of a sprinkle I guess?
Question but how is the durability compared to the original... I read somewhere that seals use this in particular because it can be submerged in water and when taken out and still function correctly...
Once again dumb question but have you tried that out
If it's a similar design I was just wondering if that would translate over
That's about the saddest thing i'v read all day.
@@adamhearts9195 cant speak to the durability. I can say that one both models the charging handle feels stiff and almost like i am going to break it when i charge sometimes. Its a bit scary to be honest. So its not 1 model but feel have the same bad feel. Sometimes you charge it and its smooth. Other times you charge either version and it feels very hard to complete the charge. My fear is will the charging handle break. I own at least 5 real hk sp5 different models and variants and none of them have ever felt this way. I will also say the sd rifle feels very heavy. I am wondering wondering if the real mp5 sd feels super heavy. I somehow doubt it does.
Do you think the Franklin Binary trigger pack will work in this?
When are reasonably priced magazines going to be available?
Why not make a .45 USC pistol?
When & Where can I get a few??
I bought one instantly 😂
When will the stock be available? I ordered the pistol, planning on registering it as an sbr.
Same here!
Is that just a matter of replacing the end cap with a retractable or fixed stock? Does HK offer the right parts for lining up on the pistol?
Toolman it should be just an end cap switch. I have heard from tfbtvs video that all stocks won’t fit the 22 version. I’m waiting for hk to release the rifle versions stock and will put it on a sbr.
@@andrewsemrinec1346 It’s made by Umarex so there’s speculation that their airsoft stock will fit. We should know once more of them start getting out AND SBRed. (Since as James noted it would be “illegal and immoral” to actually fit a stock to one without the proper paperwork)
Theres already a adjustable stock that fits this gun, as long as you are going SBR. Only problem is, is that it cost almost as much as the gun.
Really? We asked for an MP7!!!! Not this trash!
how do you pronounce your name
Buy the pistol version !!! already set up for threaded suppressor, use SB Tactical (FS1913) folding brace on a 5 slot 1913 rail mounted on the butt cap! Looks and works great. No SBR !!!stamp
Make a video on yours
Bro can you dm pictures. I wana put a brace on mine but i cant find any braces available
@@joelargumedo94 Arm or Ally $155
Lol I have seen you on every video about the MP5 .22
How did you mount the 1913 rail on the sling swivel?
Um sonho de consumo !
Where the hell are all the magazines to go with these guns HK step up and produce alot of magazine's as all are outta stock , the ones in stock are $59+ it's a 22lr mags should be available and for less then $29 🤬
Just bought the pistol version and would absolutely love to SBR it and put the telescoping stock on there. Only problem is it seems that stock can't be purchased anywhere. Any chance HK makes it available to purchase the telescoping stock that fits the mp5-22? Or am I gonna have to break down and buy the rifle version just so I can steal its stock?
Please sell a stock separately for those of us who will eventually SBR the pistol version
You don't have to sbr it. You can just get a pistol brace from smith smg. It's like$180 then get a tail hook
@@BrassProSidearmsshorts I know I don't have to but if I bought of these I would SBR it eventually, I think HK made a mistake by not making the 22 lr versions compatible with the Regular 9mm mp5 braces and stocks
Very nice
.22 LR Caliber is Lethal ?
Sure
With 16.1 inches barrel, i think HK MP5 .22LR can shoot about 300 yards using the high quality ammunition ...
I have the rifle in my name... I just want more mags for it tho...
Anybody know if they have braces for the pistol version?
Has anyone here bought the recently released HK MP5 pistol yet? I have the Walther Umarex MP5 A5 that I bought back around 2012 and am debating selling to get the new pistol. Thoughts?
This one looks to be all plastic, don't do it
@@tapig3322 I bought the newly released HK MP5 rifle SD6 model and it's the same heavily built type as was released by Walther several years ago. Some plastic, but still well built it seems like, especially at around a $500 price point most places.
@@toolman67 are new and old parts interchangeable? Can you verify what parts are plastic in the new version? It seems like mags and receiver are now made out of plastic.
@@tapig3322 Just picked up the newly released MP5 pistol and while it does feel lighter than the older Walther Umarex MP5 A5 model, it's primarily due to the fact that the end cap on the new pistol is plastic, while the rifle has a metal endcap with the collapsible stock. Have my older Walther Umarex MP5 A5 now on Gunbroker and high bid at $515.00 with two more days to go. That sale will offset the purchase of the pistol, so I'll be left with only the new HK MP5 SD style rifle and the MP5 pistol.
This current release is NOwhere near the original .22 versions quality externally and internally. My 2015 A5 and 2016 SD both with Walther markings are still running like tops with over 7k rounds through each. Bought the new SD 2022 version and the plastic trigger assy/housing is a huge turn off. The fire/safety selector feels horrible. Also being that the trigger housing is plastic it’s going to be a huge problem when the serial number gets scratched off, which is easily going to happen. Another issue design wise I have with this new vs older version is that the trigger housing is molded for the small nuts like on the metallic variant and yet it’s empty with just the small screw going into the plastic housing. PLEASE HK/Walther/Umarex address these concerns.
Why is not available in Europe?
FINALLY!!!!! THEY CARE ABOUT US
Do it in 380acp please! !!!!!!
Palmetto, mp5 .22 mags
Can it take a normal Hk trigger pack ?
No it cannot

They did I just scored one from Omaha outdoors it’s the 10rd mag version but all they had in stock so I took it now on the hunt for the 25 rd magazines
@@mrblue4897 i know they USED to make/sell mp5a5 and mp5sd rifles. The new ones all seem to be mp5sd rifles or mp5a5 pistols.
Is yours the older walther version?
@Mr Blue Omaha Outdoor does not have currently nor has carried the A5 Rifle version since July of 2016.
WOW
Gsg 16. Same thing and waaay less
Somehow more reliable, with cheaper mag options and the 110rd drum, and compatible with more aftermarket parts. Have an HK stock and handguard on mine and love it. The sights on it are horrible though and I wish there were more options for irons.
Great... nice
Purchased a new MP5 22 LR from a reputable dealer. Took it to the range one time and had feeding & ejection issues. Ended up with a case stuck in the chamber with the head/rim completely gone. Had to return the firearm to HKI in Columbus, GA for warranty service. Took the firearm to the range a second time after getting it back from HKI service. Still having feeding & ejection issues but not quite as bad as previously. Will be trying different ammo next trip to the range.
I have read several other HK MP5 22LR owners have reported the same/similar feeding & ejection issues; some using ammo that HKI has recommended. It is disappointing to see so many owners of this model firearm having these same/similar issues.
I cannot label this model firearm as reliable when I see so many others having these issues.
I never have any problems at all with this model. You and other people might got a bad batch of the MP5s, I guess….
1000s rounds of junk . 22 ammo thru mine and not one single issue
P.O.S. Who cares if you make a weapon if you are never going make magazines for it! It has been almost a year since it has come out, and not once have extra magazines been available. Someone in the products department should be fired.
My dad just got one of these and the ejector broke off when he locked the bolt open
Maybe add a pic rail to it after so many years???? And maybe some more polymer?
What's the point of downsizing from 9mm to .22 LR? Stopping bank robberies by garden gnomes?
If you just want to do something for fun, you should consider making one of these in .50 AE.
9mm range: $18.99 50 round box
22lr range is about ½ if you go for the pricy stuff
You don't buy one of these to defend your home, it's a fun gun only.
Come on, pal. These are sub $500. That's the point.
Just got one today I love you guys !!!!💯💯🤌🏽
pretty epic ngl
