you can also assign key commands to record enable and monitor, and then just hit those keys one right after the other or just the one you need to toggle whenever you need it. for example, mine are ctrl+shift r for record enable and ctrl+shift w for monitor, so if i want to activate both of them i just hold down ctrl+shift and hit r and w real quick in succession and don't have to move the mouse at all or click on anything, it saves a lot of time
Hi, Thank you for your wonderful video. I’m using UR28m with cubase. I set up my auto monitoring system to the tapemachine style. and Problem is started. When I want to record my voice, my voice is sounded twice like chorus or echo something. The play cursor is recording or stopped, both of them are sounded twice. How to solve this problem? Thank you.
One fine day the monitoring button started to work differently... I still don't know why and it drove me crazy. I wanted to tear my hair out looking for the preferences for the monitoring option and I never found it... Great puffff, I feel fulfilled hahaha. But what is the reason for including that option in the VST section? hahaha I have looked for it everywhere except in "VST" and "COLORS". What brilliant mind thought of putting it there? Or is it entertainment for the "boring producer"? hahaha greetings
I will never undertand why I need to press another button just to be able to listen to what I've just recorded... This particular point makes me always run to other DAWs when I TRY so hard to love Cubase and remember my gold old times from Cubase 5...
Coming from Logic Pro X, I find it highly annoying that you have either input monitoring on a track, or hear the recorded audio on a track during playback, and can't have both at the same time. I find it much more logical to have the input monitoring button work independently from playback of audio on the track. I'd like to hear my instrument via input monitoring *during* playback as well.
Great tip. Was hard to find where that was and this video took me straight there.

Theres a choice in the preferences that enables monitoring on record enable
As always killer consice & to the point... Tapemachine style is my go to preference too... Thank you CUBASE.... 🥇🎆
Tapemachine style it is then and should be by default. This has puzzled me for years so thankyou!!

well done mate
Please make all videos on this channel in 4K. Makes a big difference in clarity when looking at the GUI being shown.
Don’t need 4K just need to magnify whatever he’s talking about
Thanks
Whenever I press the monitor button, feedback sound from my studio monitor start to build up. Can you help me?

BANG ON SIR!!!
😍😍😍😍😍😍
Whats missing here is the mentioning of latency! Latency makes the whole input monitoring concept rather useless on most systems.......
Is it possible to find your Videos in German? Love your videos, but not so easy to understand all in english😬
how come there's no way to hear your previous lane take while recording a new one. stupid program.
