I am loving how my Mercury edition sounds with the Cabzeus speaker emulator - taking the rec out and the speaker out and I turn the mono amp into a stereo signal
@@GUILLE-nu8rv Recording out is stereo. It will give you the full tone shaping and IR's just without the power section. You could use one record out back into the mono power block and the other into an Amp1. The digital effects will be stereo also.
yeah man, way to go! I also have a stereo setup with two Amp1's and two BluBoxes. It totally rocks. I MIDI control it with the G2/Step Audio status. I really dig everything about it.
All the current modelers out in the market are great (awesome even.) But those base clean tones in the Amp1 products (in my opinion) sound better than any of them. That's a really nice board too !! I love all things stereo, this is a great rig.
Ah by 'eck, back in my day we were lucky to have a cable that worked between t'amp n guitar and we was happy I tell thee lol Best set up I ever had for studio and live was a 1970s Marshall Bluesbreaker, some old battered overdrive and an amazing 1960s phaser pedal with two wheels, one on each side with "Balls" and "Speed" on them. Now as I puzzle to get the sound I want from a host of devices and quietly sob in the corner. I am a simple man - I just want a great clean sound, a growling OD sound, a bit of reverb and occasionally some delay. I wish I had the money to build a slightly smaller version of the rig in this video as it looks perfecto (prob only one BluGuitar amp needed for me) but I'm looking forward to making my own version with the Boss IR200 and DD200 (and a few of the fx I love already) when they arrive. I really just want the tech to get out of the bloody way so I can concentrate on playing and writing. It's what we all want really. Lovely rig by the way Paul - well jealous :)
Thanks for your great informations. I have nearly the same equipment, Mercury and Iridium, Bluebox, Boss SD1, Boss Tuner, but till now no Remote Contro (it is not to buy anymore).Your Orange A/B switcher is interesting. Is it possible to run both amps on only one 4/12 Marshallbox? Regards, Chris
I have the same set up using the ME and Iridium editions. I use a full tone aby box . I still figuring out how I can use the amp1 foot switch to change channels . You have given me some guidelines .Thanks
I’m looking at doing this very thing currently for my live rig. I have the original Silver edition and the Mercury Along with the remote 1 and two Nanocabs. Any pointers / lessons learned?
Dang Sir. You have a sound that is incredible! You have quite a talented musical ear and mind. Fantastic sounds. Do you build rigs for people. If you don’t, you probably should.
Paul Paul Paul… you must have a wife that is most humble. My wife would hang me! “What do you need with this, that and the other ! So what am I getting that we can’t afford!” Yadda yadda yadda. But boy is that special 😆
I wouldn't call it an Amp X, but the cost of everything it took to make that board will be less than the cost of the Amp X. As I recall Thomas quoted it at around $2,500, and that was a couple years ago, so I expect it to be around 3k when it comes out eventually.
Paul, can you help me determine the best sounding home studio FRFR speaker to use with this type of board? Regardless of budget what would you pick for home use?
What Paul is saying is the BluGuitar amps are proper power amps and not modelers, so you would hook them up to your favorite speaker cabinet and you’re good to go.
Yes you did two that whst i did to 2 amp1 edt but got victory the duchess all up wet dry wet but most time just 2 bluamp . Play some pedal gurus tube comp & dd deck drive mix things up strymon too . I think blue amp more feel in tone over victory duchess. New one update give you poweramp feel still love victory things . But blue amp 1 great 👍 Two a#b set cool on abc orange y out two amp you did cool . If use different drive on two cool vintage on 1 classics on 2 amp cool . Great better amp some lite weight speakers box great strymon big Gilmore tone . With good guitar prs Special you are in heaven an other prs an other makes . Amp 1 kick ass over other digital one axe fx other they good good routing options in them . But amp 1 feel like real amp in room
My setup was inspired by this video. Killer rig👍🏼
The bluguitar amps are the guitar world's best kept secret...absolutely lovely amps.

Sounds fantastic! I have the Iridium and Mercury as well and will have to give a similar set up a try. Thanks for posting!
Anytime
Which do you prefer and why? Thanks
nice work dude. I think a lot of people will be drawing inspiration from this
We can tell by the smile on your face how happy you are with your new rig. And rightly so: it sounds fantastic. Congratulations, Paul
Amazing rig and tones!
That is one sweet-sounding rig.
Great sounds! Cant wait for Amp1X-hopefully everything you are doing here and more!
Amp-X will be stereo but not stereo power.
@@poulwinther oh how so?!? Please share how it would be different to this, please and thank you

I want to do something like this! Terrific tone *and* playing mate!
Thank you very much and greetings from Switzerland.
Thank you too!
I was planning of doing something like this myself. More of a wet/dry setup. Thanks for showing us this.

Nice one!
Nice playing and nice board .
Many thanks!
Very cool. Great playing as always

It's not a modeler - it's an analog preamp and tube power amp
Looks and sounds great! That's a TON of work...
Hello Paul,
can you please tell us the exact signal chain?
How does it work with the two Amp1?
I do envy that board, that is great.
Sounds marvellous! Shout out for the Reverend guitar too ... a Greg Koch signature, yes?
Outstanding maestro. Thank you for all your doing Paul. Invaluable knowledge and advice. I’ll buy you a beer if we ever meet. Cheers 🍻
It’s s pleasure. I’ll look forward to the beer.

Hey Paul off topic but what model reverend is that ? thx love the channel alot !!!!

How are you controlling Both amp1 using remote-1? How are you setting up the midi?
Very nicely done! Did you install anything underneath eventually? Other than the power supply obviously
Paul, just curious why did you run the delay through midi to the controller and still have it up on top of board
I’m gonna guess it’s so he can access tap tempo

You would use a FRFR with this board. You’d only need it for a modeller.

Sounds great as usual! Quwstion_ So I can pull up ANY of the channels/boost/reverb with a midi pedal?
yes you can. i have a very simple setup with a Boss MS-3 for effects and the MIDI output of the MS-3 swtches all the AMP functions.
@@cosmikrelic4815 Thank you!

I suspect you’re a prog fan. Rush, included.
happy man...
Should’ve just used the quad cortex 😜
That delay is too big.
Lil big but it’s a such great stereo delay
