    I like this very much. The figuration evokes a meditative, night-time atmosphere most effectively.

    This music is so very beautifully crafted, Phil. In particular the lilting accompaniment creates a celestial ambience that wraps this Advent melody in divine mystery and reverence and veneration. Your setting is simply exquisite and reveals the mastery in your compositional work. Just awesome: bravo!

      @@OrganGuyPhil In my parish, we sing in Gregorian so this hymn is sung even if it is not prescribed in the liturgy of the mass but in that of vespers.
