I'm doing a 2018 R/T and swapping in the Hellcat 6.2 complete swap next. Already have 2 complete cars to make one Hellcat. Super easy and reminds me of my Honda days.

Sounds like a lot of the issues with the V6 swap wouldn’t be an issue if you got the engine and trans with harness from a hellcat. Then add a different rear end and drive shaft. The question is, is it cost efficient to do all of that lol
The transmission will slip immediately. The torque conversion is an issue. Also a v6 needs a bypass valve for the throttle he said. My friend has a jeep Srt w 60k miles and his front diff is bad somehow. Even so it’s meant to be a rear wheel drive car...a v6 is barely all wheel drive. Something tells me it wouldn’t be able to take that power even w the proper electronic harnesses etc etc. think about why the hellcat has so many coolant reservoirs as well. The heat from the supercharger mounted on top of the manifold is one.
I’m converting my 2020 Jeep srt to be pro charged right now to decrease the heat soak issues common w hellcats (found one for $3500 online auction). The piston material is different than a hellcats however. It’s possible if I add too much power that that is an issue let alone all these other potential problems mentioned in the video. I’m not too worried because I have a good connection w my shop owner, but when thinking of upgrading to a trackhawk/hellcat I would def consider this video...and I’m absolutely fortunate I didn’t drop at least another 30 k to buy one to some “stealership” asking another 30k above msrp - in lieu of what was said here.

Yes, but you'd have to sacrifice AWD. The Hellcat's torque will shatter the GT AWD's transmission, differentials, and CV axles. Not to mention the fuel system isn't up to snuff either. Out the door I paid over $33,000 to get my car to a place it needed to be, that’s not including your R/T to Hellcat, simply add $30-40k to that smh. That’s like brand new slim body. U still need to pay the $$17k-20k to convert to Widebody through dodge direct connection regardless. Then add on Exhuast and mods. It’s expensive no matter which way you cut it.
Definitely don’t need the widebody for traction, just need some name brand tires and stop buying used tires not worth anything but going to takeovers.

Is it worth swapping a 5.7 hemi in a 2016 ram 1500 3.6 pentastar?
forged internals with a supercharger on 392 is a better option in my opinion. or just get a hellcat.
Alfa Romeo and Hell cat engine swap possible?
I have a 2016 hell cat motor an trans an all the coolers an I’m trying to put it in a 2015 r/t charger ,the prob is will
I need to change the whole wire set up if so i know the dashboard has to come out then
do not try to change the harness, too many communication issues, the engine will bolt in, recommend you contact Stuart at A2speed, he has a stand alone bypass controller that works beautifully
easier to slightly modify the harness you have now and run a separate bypass controller
Can you do an info video on putting a hellcat engine into a durango srt 392?
really same process with a Durango, will need a boost controller a custom fuel system, etc, as long as you start with a v8 engine
Is it possible to put a hellcat engine in a 2011 rt charger
So if I have a totaled trackhawk, smoked in the rear but with a 100% intact drivetrain from the tail of the transfer case forward, it is possible? Harness, ECU, cooling, and cradle all swapped with motor/trans?
Swapping into a v6 grand Cherokee
@@IammKiNGjames i would not do it, not with a v6, anything is possible with enough money
Yes just look at the numerous videos on RUclips of people doing it in less than a week

Quick Genuine Question: So can I put a Hellcat engine in my Grandma’s 03 Astro?
Yea
I own a 2016 Charger RT…can I engine swap a 6.4L that came from a Challenger Scat Pack that is the same year?
That's why you get the entire wiring harness from the hellcat as well.
Exactly this guy is talking like someone is going to just swap engines but leave the v6 trans and ecu
For me I feel like it’s worth it, I have a 50th anniversary challenger widebody. It would be all the more special to have the powerful hellcat motor in an already special car.
checkout Dustin Williams Sema build.
What if you want to do a hellcat motor swap on a ram 1500?
Besides a guy on here just did a older model v6 swap to a 5.7 then to a hellcat and apparently it was pretty easy for him I have yet heard how much in total for everything
So what if I got a V6 and want to put a 6.4 will it be the same? Problem?
I want to swap my 07 Navigator engine for a hellcat. Which engine should I get?
www.stevewhiteparts.com/oem-parts/mopar-complete-engine-68303089ab?c=bD0xJm49U2VhcmNoIFJlc3VsdHM%3D
will need a fuel system, a computer system to control, oil cooler and heat exchanger system as well, all will need to be custom
I agree if your still paying for a V8 it's better to trade and get a used hellcat all together, all around good advice thanks
Not if you want a hellcat in something other than a challenger or charger
Hell no thats a house getting a swap is way cheaper the repo auctions are full of scatpacks and hellcats 2k car payments or buy a v6 charger get wreaked charger hellcat from auction just for the motor transmission drive train suspension wires etc. Depending it's people who'll do everything for like 12k that's way cheaper then buying used because hellcats used ive looked they're people selling hellcats with over 50k miles for more then 60k
There are a couple of guys on RUclips that installed an actual Hellcat supercharger from Mopar on a 5.7 or a 6.4 Hemi.
I have a 2006 5.7 Charger I was wondering if I could swap a 6.4 into it? Or will I have lots of problems?
can someone please answer this question ( can you put a R/T engine in an SXT Challenger body ?
Yes. If you open your hood, it gives a list of the size engines that will go in that car.
Where can I contact you guys to do a hellcat engine swap on my nissan maxima 2012
Just now finding this video. Would it work with a 2012 Chevy Impala 👁👁
Sell you 16k engine or 45k car🤨
What about swapping a hellcrate into a 74 Duster with slant 6? Add subframe connectors, disc brakes, aluminum radiator, 6 speed manual transmission and a 9 inch rearend?
That should work. The Hellcrate was designed to function as a standalone engine, so as long as you plug in the wiring harness, you'll be good.
You will save in car insurance!! Lol
does this still apply with installing 5.7 hemi in a v6 car..?...im thinking of doing a 5.7 in my v6 car...i am going to buy a hemi parts car...so i would have a complete donor car...and doing it myself...
cheaper to trade
@@moparnation2235No it would not. Especially if he's already paid the car off. Labor for a swap is anywhere from 1500-3000 on the high end
Definitely would work and cheaper than buying another car that's going to be either older or high mileage compared to the amount you'd spend for the complete swap
Unfortunately there's a RUclipsr that is swapping Hellcat internals into v6s fourtane Grande so it is a point of being greedy because this guy is just killing it making his channel bigger than ever buying junk hellcats and transplanting their internals into 300
It’s been done bro
All you'd need is a full swap
Lol exactly 😭😭😭 hellcat engine and trans , he must be a car salesman 👨💼 lol trying to get people to buy a high car , when you can just do a full swap ... duh
Man you guys gotta think, it’s not that easy. Go look on CoPart for a wrecked hellcat with a good engine trans, rear end and wiring harness. It’s gonna cost you over 25k. If you are a mechanic and have all the right tools I would say go ahead but if not you will be paying a ton in labor.

Can i hellcat swap a 300s in California ?
If i have a charger 5.7 2016 and i swap with hellcat engin am i going to have any problem with the axle or the transmission?
Basically the question is, do i have to change also other important components or just the engine itself is enaugh?

$10-15k for a new transmission and differential!!? I don't think so. If you got a v6 don't trade your car for a V8 just to swap a motor into it!! Just buy the hellcat motor trans combo with the harness and pcm. Find them all day long at auctions 15k and up
good luck

Got a 2015 SXT plus. Been toying with the idea of a V8 swap. Not hellcat, but a regular 5.7 Hemi. Found a whole 2014 donor car at a good deal. Not finding anything about the 8 spd transmission until 2015. Would the motor and trans bolt up together and work? Harness, pcm, and everything else is available on the donor car as well.
did you ever do the swap?
@joshuaochoa9839 no, a dog ran in front of it and insurance totaled it. We ended up moving up to a 19 Scat Pack.
But I wonder if the fuel lines of a 392 the same as a hellcat?? 🤔
Hellcat fuel lines are bigger
Yeah I realized when I finally built my hellcat lol..
is all what you mentioned viable with a 2018 RAM 1500 single cab?

cheaper to trade, especially when you take into account, all the additional mods required
Get the motor trans and rear end and harness no problem
What if I have a full car
Can I just do all full transplant? Lol like literally just replace everything from the donor?
Hell cats aren’t 47k anymore they are literally twice that which is why we want to swap
8 speed will easily cost 4500, upgraded differential 3 to 5, axles 1500, driveshaft 1k, won’t take long to get over 10k

How much with parts & labor if I have motor & transmission if I have a 2017 scatpack
Would the hellcat engine fit in a challenger that had a base 5.7 hemi?
I think so
Yes
Is there any way to swap in awd and a hellcat motor into any mopar cars plug and play?
Youd be better off trying to use the jeep srts or trackhawks drive line with it. Youll also need to drop to the 5 speed as the 8 speed will NOT fit with the v8,and awd in the charger or challengers. Thats one of the reasons they did the trackhawk, awd and 707 were high in demand and they couldnt get it to work in the cars
