    I think its only in INDIA that such a worderful engineering videos are present for every topic in the WORLD. thanks a lot for your hardwork to explain us in FREE OF COST. Otherwise there r so many institute earning chunks of money just by providing same concepts.

    That is the best explanation of axial compressor theory I have ever seen: so logical, clear and well presented!
    I don’t think I have ever understood it as well as I do now, having watched this lecture. It is a real privilege to receive such clear instruction from someone who really understands the topic.

    Sir u didn't explain what is relative velocity, Absolute velocity, flow velocity and whirl flow

      yup and that was what he was doing for this lecture ... he missed that explanation because he didnt create a format to teach it in he just wung it for the video ... and it showed ... he didnt even follow his own conventions nor did he actually drawe the vectr diagrams to his conventions ... he taught the right stuff in screwy order ..., add to that his poor english ... wargdone .factor ... until he scribbled it down I didnt know he was saying work done factor ... not to mention not even keeping his equations the same .. he swapped alph and beta without proving they were equal that way as well ... he showed the solved version of a1 -a2 and b2-b1 were but that doesnt prove the other way around either ... he didnt have notes to follow he went off the top of his head and screwed it up often ... thats why he had to repeat things so often he kept catching his blunders ...

    Thank you Prof S.K.Som, but there is soeting I don't understnd. Because of compression, you nede a smaller angulus area from stage to stage, because of constant axial speed. O.K. But why do you use diffusorblades in te stator for expanding the anulus area aain to reduse speed. for me, this is a discrepance. Or is this an additional method to gain higher pressure values, reducung the tangetial speed component?

    lecture NOTES are your friend ... use them ... then you dont make errors as you drop things out of your brain and into your mouth ... knowing the subject is one thing teaching the subject means you have to relate your knwoledge in a way that follows logically and does not jump back and forth and into things you havent even covered or mentioned ... such as at the start when he saw the rotor blades direction of motion he said that vector was not supposed to be there ... YES it is ... it is what the rotor does it converts incoming air pressure into work on the rotor compressing the air and it is how you get the actual velocity component and the apparent work velocity ... V is the right angle ... created with alpha and beta when drawn to line U ... Work of Beta + velocity of Alpha = U or total work done on the system ... tan needs opposite and adjacent sides to figure out an answer ... the cos is used when you have the adjacent an the angle and want the hypotenuse . V cos Alpha or V cos Beta either gives the U value for their given angle ... and sin is used when you have the U value and the angle of the vector ... or Usuba sin Alpha or Usubb sin Beta ... tan is only usefull when you know V U or the angle ... any two of those you can find the third ... which would be tan angle = U / V

    He just teach like robot....with expressions and expressions ..........those who r keenly interested to understand the concept or those who has pressure of exam so only they can absorb this 53 min...if someone just come with fun mood to learn about axial flow compressor this lecture cant create interest in him..........
