(Akiro comes down the hill with weapons and armor) Subotai: "Hey man, where'd you get this stuff?" Akiro: "The dead. The Gods are pleased with you. They will watch the battle." Conan: "Are they going to help?" Akiro: "No." Conan: "Well then tell them to stay out of the way!" \m/
The scene at 2:35 is epic because here’s a dude who has faced adversity all his life with pure muscle and willpower, never with the aid of any magic or gods. But he knows the stakes are so high that he’s willing to discard his secular mindset to appeal to Crom, with the twist that if Crom doesn’t give a damn, he’s gonna do it himself like how he’s always done it. The whole “to hell with you!” phrase is basically saying that he’s accepted his fate regardless of the outcome, and that he’ll fight to the bitter end.
We know why we're all here. We're here because we know something is terribly wrong with Hollywood, and we wanted to make sure that we weren't imagining that they used to make epic soundtracks, like this one, and Predator's.
Damn straight. Let's not forget the likes of commando and rambo❤ Conan has to be one of the ultimate great soundtracks tho. I grew up watching this film in the 80s and 90s. Arguably the best time to be a kid.

im glad the true soundtrack is still around on yt, theres a few "remasters" with so much stuff missing, the choir during this is the most important part!

It was a Great Movie in its time... No one else except for Gary Gygax then invented Dungeons and dragons and JRR Tolken with the lord of the rings can sit in this story's light.
I love Conan. I own the comics. I own the movies. I own the books. I go to the gym and think of (almost) being like Conan. These movies were so cool. I think the world that was built around the narrative helps give the character so much life. He's also very multi-tiered as well, as opposed to just being an action icon. In short, he kicks ass and gets hot ass. Like a man.
you and I would be good friends, like Conan and Subotai. I very much always wanted to be like Subotai. I was bossing this loud and when I came to kitchen to get something for myself I noticed my father cuting air with knife, he wasnt ashamed, he told me connan spirit caught him.

I guess it is kinda randomly asking but do anybody know of a good website to watch newly released tv shows online?
@Angel Korbyn Flixportal
@Braylen Abraham thank you, I went there and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :D Appreciate it !!
@Angel Korbyn no problem =)

This is one of the best orchestral film scores ever written, in my ignorant opinion. It's up there with Alexander Nevsky.
speaking of which, guess which film was the inspiration for the "riders of doom" motif
Wich one?
Alexander Nevsky
You can hear it in the score, along with a litle Wagner, and Carmina Burana.
I hear a lot of Night on Bald Mountain
We know why we're all here. We're here because we know something is terribly wrong with Hollywood, and we wanted to make sure that we weren't imagining that they used to make epic soundtracks, like this one, and Predator's.

I want Mako to chronicle my life, then maybe it might at least as if I was more that a life long couch potato.
The 18 dislikers needs to contemplate this epic music on the tree of woe. Such a powerful theme for Conan
The Governator, Aku, and a Hispanic guy playing an asian. Nothing will ever top the original Conan!
A hispanic pro surfer playing a mongolian warrior!
He still looks mongol. I don't see the issue.
Edit: other than the damn hair.

@@willazeppeli Makes sense, considering how the native americans came to the new world through the bering land bridge
Hispanic Hawaiian playing an Asian, which is proper since his Hawaiian part is basically Polynesian.

Oh geez... same
They just don't make EPIC soundtracks like this anymore. You know, the ones that stand solidly on their own but when mixed with great visuals become legendary.
Han Zimmerman's Batman songs are just as epic especially in "The Dark Knight" series with the Joker
Hans Zimmer makes pretty epic ones. Inon Zur. Jeremy Soul. Jerry Goldsmith.
Bear Mceary. Enough said.
Music by Ramin Djawadi the composer made some awesome music for Game of Thrpnes.
Why is this the greatest of all Sword and Sorcercy music?! Every time I introduce new generations to it they grow wide eye'd with fascination.
because its just not done anymore but it was better then what we do now.
"What is best in life? Conan!"
"To crush you enemies, see them driven before you and hear the lamentation of their women!"
It's pronounced 'dribben' ;)
This movie might have the best soundtrack of all time
The crescendo from 2:32 to 3:17 is simply wonderful, those violins... I have no words.
Yaron Ben-Merteyn
1:03 is where it actually starts.
Yeah I just rewatched the battle. You’re right.
“And if you don’t heed my prayer, then t’e HELL with you.”
1:26 is when the horses could be seen in the horizon and Subotai informs Conan that it is about to start.
@@Jen-Yueh_Hu When it kicks in at 2 minutes is really fucking huge too,. This is a masterpiece from basil.
This piece touches highest level of might and epicness. Never before and never again there will be music filled with so much emotions and feelings.
I am excited every single time I listen to this music .

Goosebumps everytime I hear this.
UMA DAS MAIORES E MELHORES TRILHAS SONORAS DO CINEMA DE TODOS OS TEMPOS ! SALVE BASIL !!

"VALOR" pleases you...
"then to hell with you"

I played this when I fought in the Battle of Bruma in Oblivion.
This score fits perfectly with the action of the film ... Quite stunning !
Basil Poledouris is one of the few orchestral composers whose scores make you want to open up this fucking pit
All this album is beautiful and amazing. In the movie, the mix of music and images are perfect.

Jut can't remake these fantastic original films!
My personal favourite piece was always 'the orgy' ..great part in the film also!
I went to a Cryptopsy concert many, many years ago.
They played this song as their outro.
Was the most epic thing I ever saw in a concert, bar none!
The best soundtrack, the best film, the best hero and the best actor=Conan the barbarian

I got the Atlantean sword for xmas. It's amazing
I tried to shave my beard with this music on the background. The blades broke.
TyrStark hahahaha
It's cause the people who made them, never truly knew the secret of STEEL.
Conan Has no beard though ,your steel aint gud
Hair too strong! , need bigger blade ! XD
One of the greatest scenes from the film. Just bought this on bluray and I must say I am well pleased and so is Crom!
It was a Great Movie in its time... No one else except for Gary Gygax then invented Dungeons and dragons and JRR Tolken with the lord of the rings can sit in this story's light.

All that matters is two stood against many.
I have the entire soundtrack........loved the movie.......
best movie soundtrack ever composed
If only Robert E. Howard could've seen this movie based on his barbarian.
One of the best epic fantasy movies ever made with one of the best soundtracks ever made.
Am I the only one that thinks this among other Conan song's is perfect for playing in that background while playing battle games.
rather go out ride a horse with a sword on your back
No, you’re not.
This song is perfect for love making.
This is one of my favorite movies and soundtracks EVER!
"Grant me revenge!"

2:13 point, I always thought they were singing "Arnie" when I was a kid.
This movie really had some great music
1:57 I can hear the galloping of the horses in my head as this hits.

2:00 ,goosebumps in my body,oh my god what an epic music ,the best ever
Subotai: the best friend you could have not named Samwise Gamgee.
@EroticVultures "Hel" is an ancient scandinavian concept though. The name was borrowed into English and christianity.
3:35 I heard this in Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D trailer
"When I die, I shall go to a realm of cold hills and icy winds under a harsh sun. Super
Epic
Would love to see Barbarian, Conquer, ect as a GOOD remake, faithful to the original
If I could play Golden Axe with this song in the back, Death Adders head would be mine with one quarter.
That bit is why I came here to listen to the soundtrack...Awesome indeed! Have a green thumb :D
