When I found the weapon and saw the ash of war was called “flare, O serpent” I thought it would summon a fire snake out of the weapon or something cool. I was VERY disappointed
That kill at 7:15. That was some of the best teamwork I've ever seen from a random red. Sleep arrows to stun for lost to take the jump attack. I wish you'd had the flails buffed to hit him with the explosion. Insult to injury

that double kill was hilarious, there was so much visual clutter on screen, that not even you knew what has happened until it disappeared, imagine what that looked like on their screens? They're probably confused about how they instantly died, lol! xD

It's fast enough to be one of the few weapons that can land a guaranteed R1 after the pull from Gravitas-- the gravity ash of war-- which makes it usable even against backhand blades!
you can run almost the same build with fireknight greatsword + flame skewer and 1 shot people as well. fire scorpion charm, shard of alex, fire + oil cracked tear, ive hit a host who was arc'd for 2300 with the AOW, can run flame serpent and messmer orb for funzies as well, just have messmers helmet equiped for the crazy boost

Double spread shotgun, one with sleep, the other with flame bolt. Oil yourself, and buff yourself up. Could even troll by using life steal fist with the sleep spread shotgun... Or double explosive spread shotguns with all the fire enhancing buffs? Shoot the floor point blank at the enemy?
something I'd like to ask, but in dungeons where there's those flame breath imp pillars, I know you can make them move by popping Margit's shackle, but does that still work as an invader?
honestly its sad that its tied to the flail heavy attack mainly making it a powerstance jump attack only build because the wind up on a charged heavy is 10 years for this weapon type
I found it a while ago and, it's fun. Wish the charged heavy was more viable because the explosion is really powerful and knocks people down and feels great to land..... But you won't.

Flail has always been decent (not fantastic for the record) yet so many players think they're terrible. Rather use a flail than an axe or a whip ANYDAY.
in pve when you can use a horse, flails make it easy mode because of their charged attack, they also have enough poise damage, good scaling, guard bypass and even bleed, you can use wild strikes when you're not in horseback to melt bosses instead of the charged attack, so flails are not bad, skill issue.
@@Efylan hammers bad in pvp as well. One-handed normal, but dual too slow. In PVE it's doesn't really matters, but un PVP it's very important, because people can dodge all attacks easily, if you too slow

Boom hammer was much better though, both looks/visuals as well as overall effectiveness. Also was free to charge up, too.
