This guy is everything you'd want not only in a hockey player but a person. Imagine having your job taken and having reporters everyday ask "how do you feel about that" He's handled unbelievably and will go down as one of the greatest penguins in history. His # will be retired as a penguin and he will be in the HOF. No one better then him.
I smile every penguins game this post season. And I smile because I am SO HAPPY that fleury has been playing so terrific and showing everyone that he's still worth a first overall pick.
I know people are going to hate on me for saying there's a chance, but if the pens keep Jarry and Murray they're going to be in a pretty tough spot in a few more years. Jarry has been amazing in the AHL and he's the same age as Murray so when Jarry is ready to come up he's going to want starter time as well. The pens are going to have to ship out one of those two eventually or they're just going to get lost to free agency. If the pens management have faith in their system and Tristan Jarry then I could see them either trading Murray or just keeping all 3 to basically force Vegas to take a Goalie from Pittsburgh rather than one of their Forwards/Defense. If the pens buy out Flower's contract like everyone is expecting then they lose Fleury basically for free and still don't have a solution for the Murray/Jarry problem and still have to worry about who vegas is going to take from them. If they trade Murray they risk Vegas taking Jarry as a future prospect and being left with just Fleury. If they keep all 3 they lose Murray (assuming Fleury doesn't waive his no move clause) for free but they're left with a goalie for now and a goalie for the future. I personally think trading Murray is the best long term option for the pens since Murray's value is likely through the roof since he's 22 and won the cup last year. You can use the trade to make up for whatever player you lose to Vegas in the expansion.
+Sultimate Jarry is why I've told my friend it would honestly be better to keep Fleury and trade Murray, because of his age I feel they may be able to get a lot more for Murray then Fleury.

Ok I am Leafs Fan 101 percent and a French Canadian from Northern Ontario. With that said, right from day one I have followed Mr. Fleury through out his career like I do for most players in the NHL. I don't think he is aware of how much he means for us Canadians and he is a humble classy man. Peace Brother!!!!

He has been a god this playoffs and nobody can argue he's been one of the best if not the best goalie so far in the playoffs. He has the third best save percentage and his GAA is like 6th but the penguins have the most shots against average and Fleury has to face almost 40 shots a night and to be playing as good as he is while facing 40+ shots a night is incredible.
I am not positive but I swear I heard since Murray is under his rookie contract and has only played so many games and is so young the he doesn't have to be protected he is automatically protected because he is still a rookie.

The reason Murry has taken over is because the Pens realize that Marc may be around for the next 5 or 10 years Murry will be around for 15-20. Gotta go with the longevity if the skill is close to the same
