Within the first 5 minutes Joe gets 2 Zonks. Air suspension is standard on that Limited AND with that 3.21 rear diff it will NOT tow 12,560 lbs as you claim. Just to get to 11,000 lbs you'll need the 3.92. I digress.
4:42 Joe I believe the recessed rear bumper is rams answer to the "step system". You kinda skipped past the bumper, it does increase ease of entry to the bed. I step over the tire but my wife at 4'11 uses the lower portion of the bumper.
Thank you Joe for putting this video together. I was looking to maybe make my next choice of vehicle a truck and this is one well put together vehicle.i would definitely consider this as a viable option :)
There is a step system for the truck, it is an option. From the back of the truck its on the left hand side, tucked up under the corner of the bumper. You press it down with your foot and it pops down off to the side below the corner of the bumper. When you lower the tailgate and step on it, it allows you to easily grip the corner of the bed and step into the trunk.
16:09 One thing im gonna do is Zonk Raitis sense of direction, I mean you would think in 2020, much like frameless rear view mirrors, we would have a host who knows his left from right 🤣🤣🤣

@Francis Cash Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site on google and I'm in the hacking process now. Takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I remember I was close to getting a Limited last summer when Ram was selling them fully loaded with discounts at $47k. My only issue was finding one with the 3.92 and 5.7l Hemi which was a requirement for towing. Btw that truck in it's current configuration with the 3.21 can only tow around 8000lbs
By far the best reviews on RUclips , no bull straight to the point with nothing missed. Everyone else seemed to ignore how much snack food you can haul around in this puppy!
Must admit it is a nice “luxury” truck model. I’d be hesitant on the Ecodiesel though, they had to replace 80% of the engine components from the previous generation, doesn’t exactly inspire much confidence and of course the Ecodiesel’s numerous recalls in its history.
now you can see why i traded in my oil burning f-150 for this truck Raiti, I'm in heaven driving my truck when i get in it..Great review my friend and thumbs up...if you get a chance on the blacked out 1500 limited i would love to see it..
Me and my dad have decided that his next vehicle is going to be this Ram 1500 but in the long horn variant. The v8 has a great rumble and feel but the diesel is going to be smooth as silk and the fuel expense is going to be 60% of the v8. That’s a big chunk of money over a year esp here in Canada where gas is expense (Toronto area)
Jealous of the sunny Florida weather. Here in Scotland it has been overcast with rain every day since August except for 2 days in December.12 inches of rain since December 1st
It would be awesome if you can review another Ram video this time as a Laramie Long Horn Edition, having it cowboy theme and see if this competes with the Toyota Tundra 1794 Edition.
The 22" wheels also comes on the Longhorn also. I have a 2019 Ram longhorn. The limit and the longhorn is the same truck the only different you get is the grill design and the color inside
Most vehicles with 6 or more cylinders have an eco mode so when under little to no stress on the motor it will go into eco mode and only run on 4 cylinders
Will this be good as my daily driver to go to work and run errands, etc, etc. About 50/50 city highway driving.. I won't plan on towing anything. I just like it cause is so roomie and conforable inside and whenever I need to haul something then I will. I do not really like the mid size trucks cause back seats are too upright or not conforable and mpg not good.
Personally I like both the longhorn and the Limited night edition alot better. Either one and they're a hell lot roomier than the F150s. My favorite parts about them are the reclining seats. I'm definitely getting a ram 1500 Longhorn or Limited night edition, either one. I'll take it. And a hell lot cheaper than my dream truck the raptor powered F150 Limited.
My buddy had that same truck but it was the 2018 I guess they made a little bit of revisions for the newer year but his motor blew up I think it threw a rod if I'm not mistaken and it only had 2500 miles😳🔫... That's a Dodge 4 ya. Thanks Joe for the badass review
Yeah I think that might have been a good idea haha we were just laughing about it like WTF happened here he traded it for a Ford I don't know if that's much better to be honest the Dodge was the nicest interior but what good is that interior if the motor don't work? Lol
BTW my other friend has a Dodge Ram hemi I think it's a 2018 it's just the work truck single cab and his motor just blew like a week ago Dodge's going to put a brand new motor in it he just got the call today that they're replacing the whole motor. Both my friends have had shit for luck with their Dodge trucks 1 regular motor 1 diesel
Reflection off of that ipad is going to be a problem. Too glossy. I like their screens in the lower models. The matte screen is easy to see day or night.
On the note of the branding, Fiat wanted to make Dodge a purely performance brand, so they took the commercial (RAM) aspect and move it to its own brand. Also RAM made for most of the brand's sales (as the RAM 1500 outsells all of Dodge combined) so in the event Dodge would need to be scaled back or put down, the real money maker would safely be in its own brand. This turned out to be a phenomenal move as the SRT guys got to mess around and open the gates of hell, while RAM focused on bottom end capability and top end luxury (RAM was no longer bound by Dodge's shit interior design). The one thing that surprises me to date is that FCA has not made any Chrysler branded luxury crossovers, considering they have the jeep platforms like the compass and cherokee. Anyways onto the Ecodiesel 1500. I would only get it if you only want a diesel and only want a RAM 1500. The best RAM 1500 is still the 5.7 HEMI and the best diesel is the GM 1500 twins with the 3.0 duramax. This Ecodiesel as well as the Ford Powerstroke branded 3.0 v6 (which is from land rover yikes) both have the same fatal flaw for truck use: no exhaust brake. Diesels by nature of having no throttle body have very weak engine braking, but the 3.0 duramax is the only one with an exhaust brake. So if you tow with your 1500 you will eat through brake pads. The 5.7 HEMI provides amazing engine braking (I know this because I have one). Also if you plan on towing with your diesel, either you get it in a 3.21 rear end and have a much lower tow rating and compares very well to the GM diesel or get a 3.92 and drastically your highway fuel economy (looking at around 25 instead of 29). Now if you're talking about highway cruising in a truck, like I said before unless you really want a RAM for everything else (interior, air suspension, ect) the Chevy has a more efficient diesel (gmc uses the same diesel but the sierra has the face of a brick and ultimately loses mpg over it). I would only get a RAM with a HEMI, to me the 3.0 duramax would be more important than the luxury interior of the RAM. And the GM trucks have a nice enough interior. The GM interior is still better than fords which most people refuse to admit for whatever reason. Also the refreshed 2020 titan is throwing some major punches which was not expected.
Looks nice... but one can only wonder if a FCA product has any semblence of reliability... And is this truck basically existing at an inflated price to keep the company afloat? Because this truck, the ProMaster work vans, the Jeeps, and the Charger/Challengers are about the only things that sell over at FCA. Personally, Dodge/RAM and Jeep should divorce FCA and leave them to die.
I love the RAM 1500. I test drove it and really love it. I'm just worried about reliability and resale value. What can you comment about it? What do you think about the Toyota Tundra?
In the Detroit area, there was a deal where could qualify for up to $5,800 off a brand new ram if you lease or finance, but you need to spec it with eTorque. The EcoDiesel is a far more efficient option. However, I don't trust Italian built engines for reliability, wish they stayed with a small displacement cummins. The Italians are great at making engines for Sport sedans like the Giulia Q4, not trucks.
I'm for any way of getting better fuel economy especially with a truck and if with the EcoDiesel that may be the way to go. However I wish Joe would have mentioned what MPG's are with the EcoDiesel. Also I know some people are for a normal nattily aspirated engine compared to either a turbo or supercharger or in this case a Diesel engine. For me as long as you don't loos any performance/horse power. Then it's all good.
According to the EPA, two-wheel-drive Ram 1500 EcoDiesel models should return fuel economy ratings of 22 miles per gallon city, 32 mpg highway and 26 mpg combined
The only thing that bothers me on these trucks is the tail end of them. I feel like it should be wider. Other than that though it's a great looking truck.
According to the EPA, two-wheel-drive Ram 1500 EcoDiesel models should return fuel economy ratings of 22 miles per gallon city, 32 mpg highway and 26 mpg combined.

I love the Ram Limited trucks. Ram nailed it with the interior.

Congrats! I really need to get my hands on one one those!
Dude if they added the ventilated seats I would be ALL OVER your build. Phoenix gets too hot.
Raiti could sell ice to Eskimos, but in this case the RAM 1500 is a superior product. I have a 2020 RAM 1500 Laramie 5.7L eTorque. Highly recommended!

Wow that’s a nice truck. Did you mention mpg? Great towing capacity and mileage. Best of both worlds. Definitely a consideration for me.
Is the v6 mainly an diesel option or regular gas as well only see v8 for all gas option
Awesome review keep up the good work !!!!
That really means a lot!
What does eco stand for, what does it do to a diesel
It is a marketing ploy to make it sound environmentally friendly.
Most vehicles with 6 or more cylinders have an eco mode so when under little to no stress on the motor it will go into eco mode and only run on 4 cylinders
