    Nice vid. Couple three comments.
    1. Yes, its a "parking brake" perhaps at one time it was an emergency brake. Kinda like Guard Rails are now "guide rails".
    2. The 4 threaded holes you had the good fortune to use to drive the rotor off with are actually there for the wheel speed sensor tone ring on DRW trucks. Your brass hammer is a bit small to pull rotors.
    3. Before removing a rotor you should back off the adjuster on the emergency brakes (lol). Ask me how I know.
    4. Extra: If the caliper needs to be replaced you can put in pads etc on the bench then just 2 bolts under the truck.

Came to see how you put the heavy yellow spring on. Denied… I wound up putting it on first, using a pry bar to get both shoes in place, then putting the small spring in the opposite side. First side took me 40 minutes, second side took 5. A c-clamp holding the shoes from moving while getting the pin clips on helped a lot.

On mine it was easiest to just break the springs off. If they don't break they pop out so try to break them. 😅
It's rusty as heck but just pretend it's not there. 😂

Great video! The rear seals started leaking on my 15 3500 and took out my parking brakes. I put my truck in neutral then set the parking before putting it in park, I know it's a sickness... I forget what my jack stands cost but it has nothing to do with the price of the truck. Hydraulics fail, it's just a matter of when.

Hey brother, detailed video for sure but from the "Dodge" exploded views I looked at, you sir, have put the E-brake adjuster in backwards. i fear you may have trouble getting the adjuster backed off the next time you do the rears. You may NOT be able to gain access to the "star" nut on the adjuster. The star nut goes towards the front of the vehicle, so sez all the pics I've looked at. Hope it doesn't bite you in the butt, next time you do it. Cheers, Victor

If you think of the "parking brakes" and not "emergency brakes" you will probably use them all the time. 315k on mine, they are just not very tight anymore.
A great time to check the wheel studs for replacement.

FWIW, It's Nov-2021 & I'm just slapping a set of pads on the back of my '02 Ram 2500.
On my truck, both of the caliper bolts have 13 mm heads.
I bought the cheapest pads they had in stock; $27.50 + state sales tax.

#1 RULE when jacking anything up! DO NOT RELY ON THE JACK!!!!!!!Put jack stands under the axle first before working on the truck. If that jack fails your truck gets damaged and you could die by getting pinned under the vehicle or crushed. ALWAYS use jack stands and NEVER TRUST A JACK!!!!!
